Good morning and welcome to Wake Me Up, the podcast where morning people are made.
I'm Tyler, your host, as usual.
And I'm so excited for today because I know it's going to be a great one.
We're going to focus ourselves on making today into whatever we want it to be.
Productive, relaxing, exciting, fun, whatever you want from this day, it can be that.
And I know you're an intelligent person, so there's no point in trying to be anything but real.
You know and I know we can't force a great day.
Sometimes stuff happens that's out of control.
And that's okay. That's just life.
But have you ever noticed that some days a bad thing happens and it just doesn't bother you as much?
You're able to roll with it and take it in stride.
While on other days, one little thing can completely derail you.
Why is that?
Well, it all really has to do with perspective.
Focus.
Where are you directing your attention?
tension. Are you focused on this bad thing that happened and anxious about all the ways it
could spiral out of control? Or are you focused on how to solve that problem, alleviate it,
or maybe even ignore it because it's not really that important? There's a big difference in your
mood and the results of your life if you make this subtle change in perspective. Today, we'll put that
into practice. And that's how I know, regardless of what happens, you're going to have a good day.
So let's not waste another moment of this beautiful opportunity. Take a big breath in and exhale.
If you're in bed, roll over and make your way to standing up. Now that we're all standing,
let's just pause for a moment. Close your eyes and think about what it is that you want from
this day. What is your intention with this day? Maybe there's one thing that if you get it done,
the day will be a complete success. Maybe you just want to have some fun. What will make this
a good day for you? Take a minute and set an intention for the day. And if you want to stretch
or brew a cup of coffee while you do that,
then feel free to.
All right, so hopefully you've got that intention
and you're feeling really good about it.
If you get thrown off course
or something unexpected happens throughout the day,
remember this intention.
There are an infinite amount of ways
to make your intention happen.
Remember also that what you put out into the world
comes back to you.
If you put out positivity, support for others, good vibes, that's mostly what you'll get in return.
If you put out your intention, you'll find ways to stick with that intention.
And so let's do a little mindfulness exercise to help with that.
Now you can do this standing, walking, sitting with your eyes closed on your meditation chair,
whatever and wherever you want.
If you want to do this seated, now's a good time to find your chair.
All we're going to do is a breathing exercise coupled with a simple visualization.
All you need to do is follow my guidance.
Let your mind go with the words.
Let images come to mind.
And they will all help reinforce this intention you've set for the day.
So wherever you are, take a big breath in.
Hold it for just a second, and then release.
If you're seated, or if you want to close your eyes, now's a good time to do that.
And wherever you are, just tune into your body.
Take note of the sensations, the feelings that are going on.
And now, just follow my lead.
Let images and ideas come to mind.
It's all good.
So inhale and imagine collecting your intention for the day in your body.
Exhale and send your intention back out into the world.
Great.
Inhale again and collect your intention.
Exhale and send your intention back out.
Inhale again and this time collect energy.
Exhale and send energy back out to the world.
Again, inhale, collecting energy.
Exhale, send it back out.
Inhale again, this time collecting positivity.
Exhale, send positivity back out into the world.
Again, inhale, collecting positivity, and exhale, sending it back out into the world.
Collecting unconditional love from the world.
Exhale, send that unconditional love back out to the world.
Again, inhale, collect unconditional love from everything around you.
Exhale, send that unconditional love back out.
Inhale, collecting health, exhale, sending health back out to the world.
Again, inhale and collect health, exhale, and send that health back out.
A couple more now.
Inhale, collecting happiness.
exhale and send that happiness back out to every corner of the world.
Inhale again, collecting happiness.
Exhale, sending it back out to the world.
Let's do one more round, returning to your intention.
So inhale, collect your intention for the day.
Exhale and send that intention back out.
Last time, inhale, collect your intention.
Exhale. Send that intention back out to the world. All right, lovely. That's all for this
mindfulness exercise. So if you decided to sit or close your eyes, take a big breath in.
And on your exhale, you can open your eyes and just gather yourself. Our entire experience of life
is determined by our perspective. If we choose to see
see things working for us, then they will. If we choose to see things working against us, then they will.
Today, you've set an intention. You've put that intention out into the world. You've put
positivity and good vibes out into the world too. You've chosen to see these things happen in
your day. And that means they will come.
It doesn't mean that today will be perfect.
At some point, something's going to happen that causes a problem.
This is inevitable.
But remember that you've chosen to see the good in things today.
Nothing is purely good or evil.
Everything has at least a little bit of both.
So when that problem arises, choose to see the positives within it.
A chance to improve, a chance to grow, an opportunity to practice patience.
And most importantly, come back to your intention.
Use any setback or problem as a way to practice your intention.
It's in these problem moments that we learn just how intent we actually are.
So my friend, you started this day putting out tons of good,
vibes already. I'm sending you tons of good vibes too. I hope you draw the best hand of cards
that this day can offer. But on the chance that you don't, I know you'll handle it with grace,
patience, and positivity. If you do, then there's no doubt that today is going to be a good day.
Well, that's all for now. Thanks so much for tuning in.
I'll talk to you soon.
And until then, go out.
Spread good vibes everywhere you go.
And have a fantastic day.
