Hi, everyone, and welcome to Wake Me Up. I'm your host, Tyler, and this is the podcast, where morning people are made.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Today, like every other day on this show, we're going to wake up positively. And in this episode, we're going to look at consistency. Because, let's face it, we don't always wake up feeling 100%. Maybe you will perform at 100% today, but that's yet to be determined. Most days we don't.
Starting point is 00:01:06 And that's okay. We still need to show up, though, and give the best that we have today. Let's go ahead and get started. Today, let's begin with a big stretch. Whatever feels good for you. And if you're joining us from bed, then you can still take that stretch too. Just loosening up a little bit and doing whatever feels good for your body. All right, let's take a couple of deep breaths together.
Starting point is 00:01:48 So inhale, hold at the top, and then exhale. Let's do one more, so inhale, hold, and exhale. And if you are in bed, then take this chance to roll over and make your way to standing up. All right, so you can keep stretching if that's what you'd like to do. You can have a glass of water, maybe make your morning coffee. go ahead and do your thing. And while you do that, I'm going to chat about consistency. Showing up, it's where the magic happens.
Starting point is 00:02:48 No matter how you feel, whether you're full of energy or dragging yourself out of bed, commit to showing up today and just doing the best you've got. Every day isn't going to be your best day. And that's all right. That's how it's got to be for us to have the glory of our best days. If every day was your best day, then there wouldn't be anything to work for. Nothing to do your best at. To some degree, our best days and our best memories are a stroke of good luck.
Starting point is 00:03:29 We put ourselves in the right place at the right time, and we get the benefit of it. Other times, something great pops up out of nowhere unexpectedly. All of this is to say that we've got to keep showing up, even on the days when we aren't feeling our best. It's those days where we show up and we're at 78%, or 45%, and still do what we can. It's then that we lay the groundwork for those fleeting days when we are at 100%.
Starting point is 00:04:08 The simple truth is, we won't always be at our best. We won't always be 100%. In fact, most days aren't going to be our best day. Otherwise, a best day, when it does happen, would have no meaning. But that doesn't mean we don't show up. No, we still have to show up every day.
Starting point is 00:04:41 That's where the magic happens. miracles happen by surprise. Most moments of greatness occur by accident, having put yourself in a position to succeed and stumbling upon the finish line. So my friends, no matter how you feel today, let's commit to consistency, to showing up and just doing the best with what we've got each day.
Starting point is 00:05:10 And we can't get mad if we don't outdo ourselves every day. That's just not realistic. But guarantee it, we can always show up and keep trying. That's what lays the groundwork for our best moments. It's the dirty work, the days when you're tired, but you still show up that deserve the applause. So, as I send you off here this morning, a full full, day lies ahead. Will it be your best day?
Starting point is 00:05:44 Your worst? Well, I don't know. Chances are it will be somewhere in between. But there's no doubt that each and every one of us should show up today. Because if we don't
Starting point is 00:06:00 consistently show up, then we'll miss the chance to be at our best. Well, that's all for today, friends. I really appreciate you, too, in.
