I'm so glad that you chose to be here today because we'll be doing an affirmations meditation to help deal with anxiety, stress, and worry. Relaxing into a meditative state
Starting point is 00:00:40 and repeating or even simply just listening to affirmations like this can help you quickly find calm and clarity. Remember, stress and worry come from overthinking about the future and that limits our ability to live in the present, which is the only opportunity we have to affect the future. So find a position that's comfortable for you. Take one deep breath, filling all the way up into your chest and your belly,
Starting point is 00:01:19 and then exhale and close your eyes. Let's take one more deep breath together. Inhale, filling all the way up, and then exhale, release. Just let the air fall out. No need to force it. You can simply rest your attention here on the breath. Allow it to be slow and steady.
Starting point is 00:02:09 One thing that will physiologically help slow your body down is to make your exhale longer than your inhale. So once more, inhale, hold and exhale nice and slow. no need to force it. Just let the air fall back out. Now I'll begin reading these affirmations. I am calm and in control. I am letting go of overthinking.
Starting point is 00:03:15 What I feel right now will pass. I release the need to control everything. I can always find peace within myself. I'm capable of overcoming any challenge. I'm greater than the things I fear. I trust the journey. I take things at my own pace. I am positive and strong.
Starting point is 00:04:52 I am safe. Just as I am, am present, living in the here and now. I let go of the things that no longer serve me. I deserve calmness. I prioritize my own well-being to myself. I give myself time and space to breathe.
Starting point is 00:06:20 matter what happens, I can always try again. It allow myself opportunities to relax. I am releasing tension in my body and my mind. I have a support system that will help me when I need it. Power to control my thoughts and emotions. I am worthy of a calm and happy life. I am creating a calm and happy life. I am at peace.
Starting point is 00:08:08 with what I cannot change. I'm here, now, and everything is okay. Last of our affirmations. So just take another moment to enjoy this sense of relaxation before we wrap up. All right, it's time to finish up our meditation now.
Starting point is 00:09:26 So begin to bring yourself back. Notice whatever's supporting you, whether it's a chair, the floor, your bed, or something else. Take one final deep breath in. Nice and slow. Fill all the way up. Hold also nice and slow.
Starting point is 00:10:03 And then you can gently open your eyes whenever you're ready. Well, my friend, I hope you're feeling more relaxed and at ease now. Remember, stress and worry most of the time come from overthinking about the future. But the only way we can change the future is by living and taking action in the present. So use this meditation as a tool. Anytime that you find you're too stressed out to live in the present moment, it will bring you back. It will remind you of the calm that you can create, anytime, anywhere.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Thanks so much for choosing to be here today. it always means the world to have you. If you enjoyed this episode, then please take one second just to leave a comment or a review. I hope to see you again soon back here on Wake Me Up. And until then,
