Wake Me Up: Morning Positivity - Transform Grief into Good | Guided Meditation for Grief & Loss
Episode Date: September 16, 2026A guided meditation combining gentle breathwork with a heartfelt gratitude practice for anyone dealing with grief or loss of someone they love. Whether you are dealing with the loss of a family memb...er, a partner, a friend, or a pet, use this practice whenever grief feels heavy, to gently shift from the pain of loss toward the warmth of everything that person gave you. With a few quiet minutes of breath and remembrance, you're able to hold your grief and your gratitude in the same hand...and to feel, even just a little, that love like this never really leaves you. This guided meditation offers: - A gentle arrival that makes space for whatever you're feeling, without rushing it - A guided remembrance to bring your loved one softly to mind - A gratitude practice for the gift of having known them at all - A reflection on the memories and love they gave your life - A comforting reframe, grounded in a simple truth from physics, that their energy has changed form, not disappeared - A closing practice for carrying their energy forward by living it out loud Return to this practice any time grief feels hard. And know that you don't have to listen all the way through in one sitting, or even without tears...this meditation will hold space for you exactly as you are, for as long as you need it. #grief #meditation Check out the Wake Me Up Mindset Coach app: http://studio.com/wakemeup. It's the time of year when crisp, clean sheets, a soft duvet,
and an extra layer or two really make a difference.
Quince has become one of my go-toes for bedding
because the quality is so good, it's affordable,
and it really feels amazing.
Whether you prefer the relaxed feel of linen
or the crisp softness of cotton,
Quince makes it easy to create the bed
you'll actually look forward to getting into.
I got a new comforter from Quince,
especially for the summer.
I still like the feeling of having something heavier on top of me,
but I need it to be lighter so that I don't get so hot.
And I've got to tell you, it's worked fantastically for me.
And it's not just bedding either.
I've really come to like Quince's clothing and apparel as well.
So this fall, make your bed your favorite place to be this season with Quince.

If you're like me, you really need to clean out your closet
because there's a bunch of old clothes in there
you keep saying you'll wear, but you never do.
You might be running out of closet space
and wanting to refresh your wardrobe
without spending a ton of money.
Or maybe you're even looking to turn all of those old clothes,
into a little extra cash.
And that's where Vented can be helpful.
It's a secondhand marketplace app
that makes it easy for everyday sellers,
people like you and me,
to sell pre-loved fashion and clothing items
and earn some extra money.
Listing items on Vented is quick and simple.
And once an item sells,
Vented creates the prepaid shipping label for you.
Instead of throwing them away
or letting them continue to take up space,
let those old clothes have a new life.
So are you ready to clean out your clothes?

If you're here, it's probably because you're missing someone.
Maybe it's recent, or maybe it's been years,
and it still catches you off guard sometimes.
Either way, I want you to know,
there's nothing to fix here.
There's nowhere you need to rush off to.
There's nothing you need to forget.
or forgive.
This is simply a space to be with your grief and to discover the beauty that it has to show you.
So find a comfortable position, seated or lying down.
It doesn't matter.
Take a nice deep breath in.
And as you exhale, allow your eyes to soften all the way down.
Just give yourself a moment here.
to settle. Relax your shoulders. Let them fall down and away from your ears. Unclench your jaw
and soften the muscles of your face. Take an easy and slow breath in through your nose and then let it go
out through your mouth with a sigh. One more just like that. Breathing in, release. Letting go of everything
you carried into this moment, whatever you're feeling right now. Whether there's sadness,
heaviness, numbness, you don't have to change it. You don't have to perform peace or happiness.
Grief is love that hasn't figured out where to go. So allow yourself to relax here for a moment.
together with that grief and just let it be what it is if you feel ready.
I invite you to envision that person or being you're missing.
It might be a family member, a partner, a friend who felt like family, however they showed up
in your life.
Invite them into this moment with you.
Just as they were, see if you can envision their face, the way they smiled, bound of their voice.
Remember those small details, like the way they walked, a phrase they always used.
Just let those details come back without forcing anything.
And as you hold this being in your mind, invite something a little different than that sadness or heaviness or numbness you're feeling.
not instead of it, not replacing it, but alongside it. Invite gratitude, because out of all of the
beings who have ever lived and who ever will live, your path crossed with theirs.
Out of all the moments in history and the future, you got time with them, you got to love them,
and be loved by them.
And that was never guaranteed.
It was a gift.
So quietly in your mind.
Try saying this a few times.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
And as you repeat that mantra,
maybe you want to let your mind wander
through your memories together.
not to highlight the loss, but to relive the love, the beauty, the joy, the ups and downs,
the story you got to write together.
Now think about what they gave you, not gifts or material things, but the deeper things.
Maybe they taught you what unconditional love felt like.
like. Maybe they made you laugh harder than anyone else could. Maybe they believed in you
when no one else did. Maybe they simply made you feel seen or safe. Whatever it is,
silently thank them for it now. Forgiving me this, I carry it with me still. And always,
take another breath in and as you let it go allow yourself to soften just a bit more no matter what your belief system is
there is something that can always provide you comfort and it's a law of physics that energy is never created
nor destroyed it only changes in a form it's true of the whole universe
including the people we love and we lose.
Their physical presence and their physical body may be gone,
but the energy that they brought to this world is always there,
the love they gave you, the lessons, the laughter.
It will never go away, even better.
It's transformed.
and through your time with them, it now lives inside of you and through you in the way you are,
the way you show love, the way you shape the world around you. And in every small, quiet way,
you carry a piece of them forward, in every breath, in every step, and every day in your life,
They have simply changed in a form, and a piece of that form is you.
So the truest and the greatest way to honor them is not by holding your grief so tightly
that it becomes a weight, but by living out loud with the very energy they gave to you,
whether it's by being a little more patient, loving,
a little more freely, laughing, a little louder. Every time you choose to carry them in what you do,
you are bringing their energy to life. So just breathe with that truth for a moment and feeling
their energy inside of you. And then breathing out and sharing that beautiful energy with the world.
and if you'd like, I invite you to offer them one last thing before we close out by repeating
after me.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
Carry you forward with pride.
We'll let your energy live on through me.
I'll take one more full breath in and let it go nice and easy all the way out.
Whenever you're ready, gathering their stuff.
beginning to wake your body back up and opening your eyes and as you turn towards your day know that grief
and gratitude can live in the same heart you don't have to choose one they serve each other and on the
days when grief feels heavier again just come back here come back to this gratitude and the
truth that love, once given, never really leaves. Thank you for joining me here today.
I hope you found this helpful. And I hope even more that you carry your loved one forward with you
into your day.
