What's new? What's new with Menace?
What's up, everybody? Welcome to another edition of What's New Pod.
I am Menace. I'm joined by B, AKA Brett. He's an audio expert and syndication expert with the woody show boring show
that you can hear across the United States and around the world on AFN.
He has an assistant.
His assistant's name is Eric.
He is also from the woody show,
not joining us from Houston,
Texas.
That would be heavy tea,
AKA Tyler from the Sean Salisbury show,
a morning sports radio show.
We got a text message right before our podcast saying,
guys, not going to be able to make the podcast today
because I woke up and my car was missing.
How?
Have you got any more information?
Because that's such a vague.
I have no updates.
He goes, it might have been towed.
It might have been stolen.
I don't know.
I got to deal with it when I get off work. And that's usually when we record the podcast. So he's been towed it might have been stolen i don't know i gotta deal with it when i get off
work and that's usually when we record the podcast so he's been towed before right yeah he had
something going down his car in his last place for sure yeah at his own apartment building his
own car was towed that's a good point i've never been towed at my own apartment building because
i kind of know the rules that it's such as such a tyler move so i started putting some feelers out there
i kind of had some last minute options i did reach out to randy to see if he could be on the podcast
and guess what guys oh sorry man i gotta zoom uh right at the same time that we're recording the
podcast convenient i did have one more option for another person and i could not get a hold of her
in time before we recorded but she said that she is down for another person, and I could not get a hold of her in time before we recorded,
but she said that she is down for the next podcast,
and that would be Julianne, everybody.
So Julianne will be in the mix on the next podcast.
But guess who I just brought into the studio?
Give it up for Booker and Stryker.
We're supposed to clap for ourselves?
Yes, do it, do it. Sorry, it sorry i did booker i brought you in here
because i had to share a story okay that striker actually saved my life one time he did do tell
believe it or not you know we said this on the woody show that we've all known each other for
a very long time and striker and i were in ireland together and we we get off the plane and he goes stop and i'm
about to walk in the street he goes cars go other directions here i didn't know that straight up
saved my life yes it was like the movie you know when someone's daydreaming yeah like all of a
sudden someone comes to the rescue and puts their arm down right yeah that's what it was
saved my life that also makes sense for us.
Was he looking at his phone
while this was happening?
Do you remember this?
Probably.
He was on his phone.
He was looking at the birds
flying around.
There was a lot going on.
He's playing Frogger
in between traps.
You're like,
no, come back.
So yeah,
I just want to thank you again
for saving my life
because I would have never
ended up here in Los Angeles.
It's my pleasure
for saving your life.
Yeah.
Thank you. Striker saves lives. It's my pleasure for saving your life. Yeah. Thank you.
Striker saves lives.
I'm really excited for you guys to do the new afternoon show.
As are we.
Thank you.
You know, I'm really heavy into social media.
So are we doing a show account or is it still just going to be separate accounts?
Have we even thought this through?
Am I your advisor on this?
It's a good question for Striker.
Okay.
See, this is one of the yin and yang things about us.
I hate social media.
If I could get off of it, I would.
I can't stand it.
I don't think anybody cares what I ate or what I think.
And if they do, tune into the radio to listen to me.
I'll tell you there.
That's why you've got to make reels with the music in the background.
I love TikTok and social media, but Menace is the king of social media. I just
try to keep up. But we do have
Booker and Striker on Instagram,
Booker and Striker TikTok,
Booker, Striker, Twitter.
Nice. Well, make sure to follow
all those accounts and then tune in in the afternoon.
You figured out what time we're going to start, right?
Three o'clock.
Okay, cool. Sweet.
That's how it works around here.
I was going to punk you but
tell him we started
at 2
just to see you
wandering around
like what's going on
hey where we at
alright guys
well thank you so much
for stopping by
thank you guys
I'm telling you
I'm stoked to have
Booker and Stryker
together in the afternoon
on Alt 987 Los Angeles
pretty iconic names
I know right
just together mesh
together i know and just the energy in the room is awesome i mean i feel like there's more life
around the station now that striker is here striker you know he's a known just horrible
guy to work with just oh wait no he's a ball of energy super fun super nice we're gonna have to
talk to booker more now it's very easy to avoid that room. I mean, with Booker, yeah.
I actually went back on my Twitter because I had this memory.
I'm like, what the hell?
Why do I remember this?
Maybe 2015, I sent Striker a DM on Twitter asking to pick his brain because I wanted to get into radio.
No way.
No reply.
Wow.
Because he's such a nice guy, he will probably cry over that.
No, I know.
I was honestly
debating because i don't want it to come up and be like oh dude what the hell i like that you're
just holding this like he's in the room you're like i wasn't gonna bring it up that's awkward
man it's first week you know i don't want to we got a parade okay maybe next week we'll bring it
up plus you know me too like that's just gonna be an awkward conversation for me to be a part of so
yeah it is pretty cool though especially for two people that grew up listening to radio in L.A.
Because, you know, we didn't have streaming.
We didn't have any of these things.
Like, I had a boombox with K-Rock on.
Spoilers.
Yes, kids, we all listened to K-Rock growing up here.
I would be listening in the afternoons and stuff and playing video games.
This is like teenage Brett, teenage Bort.
And Striker would be on.
So I have recorded tapes of Striker because I would record
his afternoon show and the evening
shows and the weekend shows and mix them all
together with different songs. So that way I had a soundtrack
to play video games to. That's awesome.
I have years of Striker just sitting at my parents' house.
I'm sure he would love to hear those and see what they sound like.
He'd be like, ah, you know, that's where
the K-Rock was good, right? More stuff we need
to bring up. It's just so funny, even
though I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area,
I did pay attention to a lot of radio stations.
I did not listen to K-Rock,
but I did listen to Power 106, like hardcore.
And there was a brief period of time
where I didn't have a radio job.
And I applied to try to get on Big Boy Show in 2004.
Yeah, dude, that was my morning drive
because I was i was
driving with one of my friends to school in middle school so this like way the hell back then yeah
same thing i was the phone taps in the morning and then you got power on the way home it was a
tito and 105.9 and yeah yeah because a buddy of mine he worked on the show his name's joe grande
okay and so joe was on there and i was like jo got to hook me up. I'm out of a job.
And I tried to put this whole website together.
I highly doubt Big Boy ever even saw it.
Yeah.
But I was trying to heavily get on the show back then.
Not a total fangirl moment, but yeah, I mean, growing up listening to Big Boy and all that.
Big Boy?
That was one of my first instances.
Big Boy and Kevin and Bean were total radio flashbacks.
Oh, yeah.
And I'm like, dude, that sounds fun.
I'm going to school.
I'm dreading it.
I'm sitting in a bus or in a car and it sucks they're up they're having fun and
that's probably one of the roots of my wanting to do this for a living yeah and then you know so
like big boy's there and as a kid and now fast forward i remember working here and now he's down
the hall i remember standing at the urinal in the bathroom and then all of a sudden big boy comes in
and is going to take a leak next to me yeah and i'm like, wow, kind of full circle in my mind.
I know, it's weird, right?
Yeah, like middle school Eric.
If only he knew, man, you'd be peeing next to Big Boy one day.
That's the guy from the billboards who lost all that weight.
That's the Big Boy.
The Big Boy.
Again, yeah, full circle is so awesome for that.
So that's all the happenings that are happening around the radio station.
And just in Los Angeles alone, a lot of things happening.
This little thing called the Super Bowl is going down.
That thing.
That little thing.
The Super Bowl.
Just FYI, today is Thursday.
What is the date today?
The 3rd?
The 3rd, yes.
Okay, so on Saturday the 5th, I'm going to be in Inglewood at 7-11 from 1130 a.m. to
1 p.m. on Harbor Vente Boulevard?
Harbor Vente? Harbor Vente, somewhere around there. In Inglewood. Is it p.m. on Harbor Vette Boulevard. Harbor Vette?
Harbor Vette, somewhere around there.
In Inglewood.
Is it close to SoFi, I'm assuming?
Yeah, and honestly, I do not know.
Okay, I don't know.
But I will be at 7-Eleven on Harbor Vette Boulevard,
West Harbor Vette Boulevard on Saturday.
And then on Sunday, I'm going to be at another 7-Eleven
from noon to 1.30 p.m. on West
Century Boulevard so I can say that West Century Boulevard I think you pronounced that one right
all the information will be on our social media of course at thewoodyshow.com come hang out because
I'll have a bunch of giveaways I do have tickets for Knott's Berry Farm and Legoland but it is all thanks to Pepsi, Lays, and 7-Eleven.
It's going down.
We have a bunch of giveaways getting hyped
for that Super Bowl.
Another thing that I'm super excited about is
Jackass Forever. What?
What? You know.
I already got my tickets for tonight. I couldn't even
wait until tomorrow. I had to do it.
I did that thing for the
very first time. I mentioned it on the Woody Show.
Never did it before where you pre-order your snacks.
That sounds like the best idea ever because I went to the theater for Spider-Man, the last one to come out.
It took me 25 minutes to get my popcorn.
Hell no.
It was insane.
I don't know if they just forgot how to run lines, but the lines just got longer.
They had six, seven lines lines rows of people opened up yeah when you went to the website i got on amc
i still haven't joined stubs because i don't feel i go to the movies enough to do that but
you go to amc you select the time you select your seats and then it goes would you like to buy snacks
ahead of time and then it gave you three different options to pick up the snacks before you started the movie genius it's awesome i and i dude i'm such a
like anxious person once i stand in line and i see time ticking away and like i get there 30
minutes before the movie starts and then i'm standing in line 10 15 20 i'm like okay well
25 and then i just see like oh man there's nothing worse than
I'm too fine with lines for the most part
but when I'm in line and I see
a time I have to be at something and it's just
getting closer and closer I start to freak out a little bit
I hate lines period
I could stand in them Disneyland I'm fine with lines whatever
no heck no
but it's when I'm standing in line
and I have to get something done and this is
in the way of it yeah Disneyland you want to get to it's when I'm standing in line and I have to get something done and this is in the way of it.
Yeah, it's Disneyland.
You want to get to the next ride.
I don't want to wait this line.
I'm not on like a deadline
or there's not like a
I need to get in the line
or on the ride in five minutes
and it's taking me six.
I do because I have six more FastPasses
I got to hit.
Come on.
Well, I'm going to test it out
and I'll give you guys some feedback
on how it all goes.
Yeah, let me know
if they mess up anything.
I want to know if it's like pristine, exact, if it still like ready there for you yeah is it not flat was it made 10 minutes
before on the desk oh is it like at a at a baseball game where all of a sudden it's like hey we had
one sitting here here actually i don't think i didn't select my flavor so i think they're just
gonna hand me a cup but the popcorn everything will be ready all right switching subjects you
know i've been really into hanging out in the desert i was just in the desert last weekend coachella valley dude did you see that
thing that they're selling for the coachella music festival actually it's an auction nfts i heard
about her passes for life it sucks that it's an auction because you know the people that have like
dumb amounts of ethereum and bitcoin or whatever
crypto they're just gonna have all this money or just like just straight tech millionaires
they're just gonna ramp it up just to say that they have one where they can get in so if you're
ultra rich you're gonna be able to buy these passes for life but i still think it's a cool
idea i wish there was like a lottery version yeah i just don't get how it would work so then you just get this nft which again i'm still not blurred on um and
then how do you that then you're just like on a list so what's the purpose of the nft along with
it well the nft you'll have your like coin wallet and then so basically like you know how you have
your apple wallet yeah you have different things so that nft is just gonna live in your oh and your
wallet and then you are coded into anything yeah and then when you get there and then you're good to go
that's kind of cool i guess pretty cool i'll take it for like 25 million dollars can i park here for
a minute though because there's so many cool things happening in the coachella valley that i just want
to highlight them that it is the 18th fastest growing city in america they have and i know you're gonna
love this eric for the seattle kraken it is their my league team it is the firebirds all in all out
dude i'm all in on hockey in general i can't be extremely all in because i do have the kings and
i do have their minor league affiliates but i'm all for southern california hockey i'm all for
their jerseys.
I saw them get released last week, the Firebirds.
So it's nice red.
I love red.
I love the desert life.
I go to Coachella Valley.
I go out there plenty, and I'm sure I'll be at a game.
Yeah, they're building a brand new arena,
and I have Steven from the team on the line right now,
so I want to talk to him about it.
Give it up for him, everybody.
You know.
Man, we are so excited for this team to come to the coachella valley i have eric who is lifelong hockey fan and
eric you've always preached that these teams are uh just a fun time to hang out it's a little more
homey a little more fun fan oriented awesome atmosphere as opposed to
some of the big league teams you know you get stuck at staples center you're one of a huge
amount of people but a little more homey a little more fun i feel like the fans that go to these
games are just kind of really uh in it you know how long has this team actually been in the works
been in the works a while uh covet uh and and some various things have caused you know some uh some some changes with
regards to when we would actually enter the american hockey league season and so it was
thought that we'd be part of the season right now in 21 22 but we're very excited to be started
in 22 23 so um yeah everything's working and we're gearing up for uh for our first home game
okay so tell us about the VIP booths,
the ones that you're going to let us in.
Yeah, I mean, we have some pretty cool seating opportunities.
You know, the arena is set up in such a remarkable way
that you've got your premium seating
and your suites that are on the upper level.
Everything else, you walk on grade level
and then you go down to your seats.
So you're walking down.
And then the bowl is set up in a way that you're rising more vertical as you go up the seats.
So there's really not a bad seat in the house.
What are the food options going to be at the arena?
Do you have anything that you can reveal just yet?
I don't have anything I can reveal just yet,
but we are working and stepping through those doors right now
and identifying the
food and beverage spaces, the layout, the partners, how that's all going to work, you know, and any
subcategories that we're working on bringing in. We're hoping to be able to have the ability to
tie in some of that local flair and those things, like a lot of these AHL teams and these arenas
are able to do. And so we're embracing that and working towards that. But I don't have anything
for you at the moment.
Okay.
I'll give you a couple of recommendations.
We also have a lot of relationships with a lot of big brands.
Okay.
So perfect.
What do you got?
Okay.
I'm going to,
I'm going to say raising canes.
They just opened up in Palm Springs,
not too far down the street.
Also,
you know what they do have in the Coachella Valley that is not available
in Los Angeles in Orange County is Dutch Bros Coffee.
Super delicious.
I say bring those guys in.
Blaze Pizza, they're over at Crypto.
They kill it.
People are in there.
Always a line.
Always a line.
And then, of course, you're going to have some vegetarian options for my buddy
Brett here.
Perfect.
I love all the recommendations.
We'll definitely be taking a hard look at that.
Whatever we decide, I'm sure everyone's going to love it.
All right, Steve.
Well, thank you so much.
And we can't wait to hit a game.
Awesome.
Yeah.
Stay in touch, guys.
I'll let you know what we have for upcoming events and those things.
But I really appreciate reaching out, taking the time.
No problem.
And letting us kind of tell our story.
See, Eric, we're going to totally be out there.
And Brett, you can come along, too, if you like. See, Eric, we're going to totally be out there.
And Brett, you can come along too if you like.
Hey, I'll go.
The jerseys look awesome. I'll wear one.
And I'm sure Tyler will kick off the horse.
And then Randy will start talking to us again.
Yeah, because there's free stuff involved.
Yeah, we get into those VIP suites that they have.
Is this where Keith is here?
Oh, you're still doing that podcast?
Yeah.
I'll tag along.
Can I be here every week?
Oh, great. Also, there's one more thing I want to highlight because I think it's super cool. here uh still doing that podcast yeah i'll tag along can i be here every week oh great also
there's one more one more thing i want to highlight because i think it's super cool and i also have
the people that are behind it on the line see we're just having guests left and right on this
coachella insider podcast all right the desert surf resort straight up, they are going to build a wave pool that you can surf in in the desert in Palm Desert.
We're going to find out about it right now.
Doug, Blake, are you there?
I am here.
I want to tell the listeners right now, Google Desert Surf Resort, Palm Desert.
This thing, again, it's a straight up resort.
Yeah, that's exactly right.
This is a resort, and we're surrounded by two
world-class golf courses uh you know we've got pickleball there's leisure pools to hang out
there's a beach club you know obviously you can hang out and swim and drink and eat and hang out
and watch people surf um size of the lagoon actually when you stand on the beach uh the
body of water is over 200 yards long going away from you. So you can literally, it's like being inside a little room.
Yeah, it's like being at the beach in the middle of the desert.
It's nuts.
And I'll tell you this, though.
I am a little upset because I have been following this project for quite a long time when it first got social media.
And now you guys just got some love on KTLA the other day.
And everybody's like, oh, dude, did you see how you can surf in the desert now?
And I go, I've been telling everybody about this and no one's listening to me.
And then they finally see it on KTLA and see how cool it is.
And I want to know, do you have a start date for this?
Late 23, early 24. Yeah, it's currently what's on tap.
Now, how is it going to work now?
Do I have to be a part of the resort to get into the pool?
Do I have to book a stay there?
Can I buy a day pass?
Have you worked out any of those details?
So you do not need to stay in the resort or the villas to gain access to the moon.
There will be public access for certain sessions.
And what most people do is you just get online and you'll book the certain hour for the session that you want.
And within that hour, you'll get roughly 13 to 16 waves and you'll be exhausted by the end of it.
Is there going to be like time frames where you're at different experience levels?
Because I mean, me even, you know, living in Southern California myself, I'm not a surfer.
I've been to the beach plenty. I can't stand up on a surfboard.
I mean, I'm assuming everybody coming in from even locally in Coachella, you're in the middle of the desert.
So people won't be too familiar with it.
Just walking right up and just having some fun in the wave pool, basically. Is
there, will there be, you know, times where it's like, Hey, intermediate level and then your lessons,
yeah. Or like, Hey, in the corner, you got the guys over there learning how to stand. You got
this section of the pool over here with, you know, people going up a little bit more up to like the
pro level kind of stuff like that. You nailed it exactly. We'll offer all things to all levels.
And that's the great thing about the wave garden coast technology is that
we'll run the main waves,
which for those of you who haven't seen it,
it's shaped like a baseball diamond and the waves propagate out from home
plate.
So the infield is basically where the main surfers surf and they'll surf on
both sides.
There's the generation or the wave generator down the middle
separates the surf lagoon in half.
So basically you got your main surfers on the infield
and then the outfield is left for all of those beginner novice surfers
as those waves dissipate down.
They're perfect for those skill level athletes to learn.
I can't wait to sign up.
I'll be hanging out in the outfield.
Because I'll tell you this, I grew up in Northern California and the water is freezing
cold. And my buddy took me out to Santa Cruz and he's like, yeah, man, let's go surf. And I stepped
one foot into the water. I go, no, I'm good. No, it's not going to happen. And then I was out in
Hawaii. And then again, you're around so many skilled surfers, you're, you know,
you're kind of intimidated and I can't really learn this way because so many people are
so good around me and I just felt like I was getting in the way.
So this is going to be a perfect opportunity for people to learn how to surf.
We hear that all the time and this, this takes away so much of the inconsistency of the ocean,
but still has great waves.
And, you know, whether you're a beginner and you you're worried about the sharks or whatever you don't have to
worry about that and if you're an advanced surfer I mean this thing's
pumping out you know beautiful waves every 40 or every four seconds yeah what
you just described is something that's very interesting and hard for a lot of
people to process that even if you have access to the ocean and access to decent
surf it's still really hard to go out and actually get waves it's
intimidating there are people in the water they're not particularly nice to decent surf, it's still really hard to go out and actually get waves. It's intimidating.
There are people in the water.
They're not particularly nice.
There's just not a lot of waves.
Waves are a hot commodity, and there's a lot more people in the world these days that want
them than not.
And to get out, you just don't get that many people who ever really get to that level.
But these surfing lagoons, they kind of level the playing field, right?
You can paddle out. You've never surfed before, and we'll have you up and standing and riding a wave and but these surfing lagoons laying the they kind of level the playing field right you can you can
paddle out you've never surfed before and we'll have you up and standing and riding a wave and
you know probably less than 30 minutes um it's just something you'd never be able to do that
quickly in the ocean and you can very quickly over a matter of hours work up from the beginner waves
to the more intermediate and you know within some number of days you can be surfing the advanced
waves but you just can't do that anyplace else it's so awesome i'm gonna tell everybody and i'm gonna have a countdown clock until it opens i joke
with menace it's a desert life is is you have a hard time leaving it and stuff like this like this
you know this the beach is in in coachella valley now it gets harder to leave every time i come home
so dope well thank you guys for being on the phone. And again, what's the official website? It's DSRTdesert, DSRTSurf.com.
All right.
Well, everybody, you're listening to this podcast,
just grasp what we're talking about and go to the website.
And please let us know if you have any events coming up,
and we would love to attend.
Thanks, guys.
We'll keep you posted.
First waves.
Can you believe it?
We can go see hockey and surf and go to a music festival all in one weekend.
I'm telling you, man, I always joke with you.
Desert life is different.
It is.
You never want to come home when you're in the middle of the desert.
It is.
I can't wait until all this stuff is done and put together.
It's going to rule.
We can also sightsee for UFOs and aliens.
It's desert life.
Let's have some fun.
Let's do it.
You guys want to get into some food news?
Hell yeah.
Yeah.
Food news.
All right.
Food news.
Wendy's introduces new hot honey chicken sandwiches all in, all out.
Oh, I really want that.
Dollar.
Where'd you come from?
They have a biscuit version
and then a regular chicken sandwich version.
I want to try the biscuit one.
As long as it's not dry.
But if it's honey, so I'm assuming it might be
kind of plastered with some sauce.
Yeah, I do love hot honey.
I have it at my house.
You can get it on Amazon. Just search hot honey.
So good.
I just want the biscuit and the honey right now.
Oh, yeah.
Alright, another one. All in, all out on a 15-gallon search hot honey. So good. I just want the biscuit and the honey right now. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Alright.
Another one. All in, all out on a 15-gallon
chili cheese keg of
Hormel. Yes!
Hormel chili.
And it comes in a keg? In a keg.
Hell yeah! Let's get
this! What sucks is
I love everything about this, except
for it's Horm why just enjoy it straight
up dog food dude i'm all about denison's chili son denison's canned chili straight fire the best
chili the hormel just get the vegetarian one it's good i see some i see some uh some logistics how
is the keg gonna pump out some chili that That's going to... You got to grind it.
Grind it to pulp.
That's so gross, man.
Just think of Tommy Burger's chili.
There's really no...
You're not selling me.
What?
What's wrong with that?
I'm not a huge chili person.
Oh, come on.
All right.
Cornmeal chili keg stands?
Yeah.
Did you not go to Fuddruckers when they had the hot keg of nacho cheese?
Yeah, but I didn't use it.
Why would you not use it?
What's wrong with you?
All right.
In other news, C4, the energy drink that I have never had,
but I see all the time,
they're coming out with a Skittles flavored energy drink.
All in, all out.
I don't know about that.
Skittles.
Out.
I mean.
Have you tried C4 or haven't?
I've never tried C4, no.
I know this one looks like the, like, almost like a...
It's like a yellow can.
Yeah.
Is it supposed to look like...
No, that's the Nas one.
I was like, doesn't it look like a tank?
But no.
Yeah, they have a protein powder.
That sounds, like, sweet as hell.
And I, you know, I drink my, like, you know, little amino acids and crap before.
And, you know, some of those can get kind of too sweet when you drink them.
Let's compare this to Bang, though.
Because there's a lot of Bang flavors
that we all like in this ring.
Yeah, Bang's another one.
They don't shy away from the flavors.
Yeah, their July 4th Star Blast,
their birthday cake flavor,
Unicorn Rainbow.
They love it.
All right, how about this?
Would you go out and get this?
If the game goes into OT for the Super Bowl everyone in the u.s and canada can
redeem six free bonus or tradition or traditional wings from buffalo wild wings february 28th from
4 to 7 p.m i would would you go pick up those wings i would yes but pick them up because i don't
want to go so that's the problem with these promotional things when you have to go and sit down at the restaurant these places get a
little too crazy with these promotional things it's a full house you gotta sit around dude i
love i love the promotional giveaway they used to do i think they still do it for wing stop
for when the lakers win a road basketball game oh yeah you'd get uh you'd get five free bonus
with the purchase of a drink so that was my go-to because you go pick it up,
you order an extra five on top of it,
you get your full lunch for like three, four bucks.
But I didn't want to sit down because it gets too crazy.
Because then you need more food, then you need a beer,
and then you're annoyed by people,
then you need like three beers more.
Then I'm drunk, leaving the Galleria.
I'm like, 10 beers in, I need an Uber.
That's like $200.
All for those free 5 wins
did you guys try
we had it on the woody show the pizza hut
new spicy lovers pizzas
did you have any
we had the pepperoni one we had the chicken one
and we had the veggie
no I'm gonna throw some shade no one really invited us
for it so
we were on the other side of the wall but I mean to be honest
I wasn't really itching for it I mean uh-huh i mean it wasn't fresh so i'll be honest
with you it was mega dry i think i want to give it an opportunity and a fair shot if i had a fresh
out of the oven yeah but this was like night before pizza warmed up kind of rubbery not even
rubbery just like cardboard. Oh, yeah.
You know, we didn't try that, but, you know, Tyler
did try
that Batman pizza
from Little Caesars.
Oh, yeah.
You know, he would be talking about it right now if he was with us
and didn't lose his car.
He's currently being
Kelso right now going,
dude, where's my car? I don't know where it is.
Yeah.
He said it was great.
He loved it.
Yes.
He ate every bite of it.
I can tell it was going to be good.
Can we just, we might have to bring this up, but he ate the whole thing.
Yeah.
Dude, that's a lot of epic pizza to eat the whole thing.
No, it's not.
It's like four slices and four giant like cheesy bread pieces.
Honestly, I could kill it easily.
Yeah.
But why though?
Why?
Because once you pop, you can't stop.
Because of pizza.
If you don't say pop about that pizza,
because that little cheese pocket at the bottom of the pizza looks like something.
It's like when you get a six-pack of beer, okay?
It doesn't matter what kind of beer it is.
You get a six-pack, you're like, once you get to four,
you're like, I think I can finish the other two, dude.
I'm going to have heartburn for the next week and a half, but whatever.
Worth it.
I definitely got to pick one up.
Also, speaking of hot, pick up some Diego hot sauce.
Just go to diegohotsauce.com.
Pick it up on Amazon.
Or if you want free shipping, go to morehousefoods.com.
That's M-O-R-E, morehousefoods.com.
And then click on products.
And you can get free shipping if you just buy it that way.
And don't forget, giving away astation 5 oh hell yeah just go to my instagram at menace m-e-n-a-c-e you still have time to enter just go to menace once again m-e-n-a-c-e all right i'm gonna switch
it up real quick go to tech news oh yeah oh my god so you know we have these woody show disneyland takeovers and
about i would say the first one which is the first one happened almost what three years ago now maybe
yeah three years ago three years ago a listener came to me and he's like i know that you really
like tech yeah yeah he goes i'm working on something and what he told me the concept at the time i go dude that is
really cool but i don't even know how are you gonna do it but he told me he goes yeah i'm
working on this technology where you're gonna be able to use your electric car as a backup battery
for your house now you know how they have all these backup batteries for houses right now that
you can get from tesla and other iips makes some and Samsung makes some, whatever.
But he goes, you're going to be able to take your car
and that will be your backup battery from now on.
I go, okay, dude, cool story.
Just last week, I saw the news story and it's called Wallbox.
Now, Google this, Wallbox car charger battery where it is finally here so
people you know they have their car chargers at their house well now you're going to be able to
suck the energy out of your car and it will be your backup battery that technology is finally
here it is insane so you're just sitting on on a giant Duracell battery in your garage just in case?
So if you have an emergency
and you need to pull power from your car, you're going to
be able to do that now.
Dude, we're in the future.
Was this the
dude? Do you know if this was the guy you spoke to
three years ago?
That'd be pretty wild. If it's the same guy,
if this is the same company that
is doing it,
dude, why didn't I get some stock options?
Bro, what the hell?
Where was my email?
Where's my wall box at my house right now?
You could have been in on the ground floor, the face of wall box.
I know.
Guys, if you work at a cool company and doing some cool stuff,
let us be a part of it.
At least throw us on an email list or something.
Let us be on the board and give you some advice.
A couple shares here and there.
Whatever you do, do not give the idea to Randy, and then it will never get passed through to any of us.
I know, but dude, that is so freaking cool.
I need to pick one up because those batteries for your house are not cheap at
all but if i can take my electric car and have that be my backup battery yeah that is freaking
awesome yeah that is pretty cool i mean you're killing two birds with one stone right there
right you're generating your own power by driving around and then you can just suck the power out of
it that's pretty cool rules because again in los ang, they cut everybody's power when it's windy.
Right.
Which is dumb.
I mean, this thing looks pretty, like, compact and convenient.
I mean, I don't know exactly what these...
I expected something bigger than just this little, like, Alexa on the wall.
Yeah, those wall batteries are huge.
Yeah, that's what I was picturing.
Like, almost like, you know, stacks of servers or something.
This thing is, like, the size of a PS5.
Yeah.
It's kind of cool, though.
It reminds me of the little Mr. Fusion on the back of the DeLorean in Back to the Future.
It was a little tiny nuclear reactor thing, man.
And they look pretty crisp and clean.
It's just like this little pretty black box.
That's it.
I want it.
I need it.
Guys, the technical specs are here, just in case you want to come in and look at how it's built.
No, I'm good.
Rules.
Yeah, if you want to look it up for yourself, it's called Wallbox.
One word and then just Google car charger battery.
It's insane.
