I am Menace. I'm joined by Bortz, a.k.a. Brett. He's an audio expert and syndication expert with the Woody Show Morning Show that you can hear across the United States and around the world on AFN. We also have, join us from Houston, Texas. That'd be Heavy T, a.k.a. Tyler from the Sean Salisbury Show, a morning sports radio show. Eric, I have to ask you, how was your weekend?

It snowed in Big Bear probably like a couple weeks ago, so there's still some. But we did some tubing down this nice little hill. Nice. Plus, you know, I got up there, had some drinks, watched some good football all weekend while I was up there. That's cool. The Bills game kind of put a damper on the end of the weekend. It definitely wasn't as snowy and cold as it was in Green Bay while I was watching that game. I will tell you this. I was a little bit afraid because you had the snow skate, right? Now, if anybody has paid attention to the What's The Do pod Instagram page or my page, because I just like to post it. When Randy ate it with the snowskate. Right, yeah. And he posted a picture of you on the snowskate and you had a glass bottle in your hand.

Yeah. I was like, oh my God. I didn't really use the snowskate too much because of where we were staying. Because so there wasn't too much snow. So the little flurry we had when I sent you guys the video i was like okay fresh little powder you know a little layer and it was actually interesting because where we stayed there we didn't have the hill like we had when we stayed for what's new out in big bear we had that hill behind us we were more in like a like a flat area so the most i used the snow skate was i was actually skating like on a flat ground i was actually able to kick push a little bit oh nice

instead of you know so it's fun it wasn't too crazy, you know, but my niece and nephew loved it. They had a little scooter, too, like a little handle. So my niece actually had like a little photo shoot with the snow skate because she had a little like Barbie doll snowboarder. I'll have to show you the pictures. Yeah, so it was fun, man. It's always good to get away for the weekend. Anybody got plans for this weekend? Dude, you know, I've been laying low.

So, I mean, maybe go drive around. I'm really enjoying being home with my pets and my little squirrel feeder box on my balcony. I've been reading a lot. Nerd. It's comics. Okay, so there's pictures. All right. But, dude, I love my couch. I really do.

Couch vacation really taught me how much I just love being home. So, yeah, I think home. That's good. Tyler, on the other hand, I hear he has to take a kid like it might be his to the park or something. Yeah, it's his weekend to have the kid. No, all fabricated. None of this is true. I am happily childless.

Anyways, now my big weekend plans sleep go to work, watch football on Sunday. That's literally all I have to do. My big plans for this weekend is I think I'm just going to maybe have some edibles or something and then drive around in remote control cars in the desert. That's my big plans. Oh, hell yeah. Nice.

Yeah. Anybody else? I mean, nothing crazy. I'm not going out of town. I got a wedding venue tour. Oh. I got a brunch on Saturday, but nothing crazy. I wish it was Big Bear again.

California people know the area. So Topanga Canyon, Santa Ana, OC. There's one out in, not Pomona, but out in 909. I think the one that we're going to this weekend, though, is the one the fiance likes the most. Going to try to lock it in.

in there shaking my head. Yes, uh-huh. It's funny. You always have the venue that you want, but you waste your time and you go to other venues. Right, and that's the thing. always have the venue that you want but you like you waste your time and you go to other venues right and that's the thing this is the one that she likes and it just so happens to be the first one we're seeing so i'm like if we can lock it down get a date just do it that's gonna be kind of weird because by the end of this year this podcast is gonna be three married guys and a single dude so oh dude that's a little weird look at that three three married dudes and a dude with a kid no no no wow shout out to the fabrication hey dog you best be paying that child support

fabrication none of this is true all right all right buddy i want to get to football in a minute but the big thing that we talked about last podcast was the When We Were Young music festival, which is happening October 22nd and 23rd in Las Vegas. Now they added a second weekend, which is the 29th. Did they add the 30th? I don't know. I haven't seen that yet. There's rumors.

Maybe. I've seen that. Only the third day, and then that pre-sales like the 31st of January or something like that. Our previous podcast was just shutting down all the stupid conspiracy theory rumors they're still out there they're still out there people just really just want this thing to be a cluster f but hey guys just suck it up you know fake concerts always get third days at it you know on a different weekend for real but here's the other thing so all this madness is happening and then emo's not dead

cruise dropped that is happening november 8th through the 12th and you're gonna go from los angeles to ensenada mexico all in all out oh dude i would be on that in a second because the cruise thing it got so big all of a sudden like everybody there's i know paramore has has was a para para hoy or something like that and there was um there's the edm crew yeah these little well it got huge right before the pandemic and everything i think they're solely trying to build it back up yeah i mean there was metal cruises black metal chris jericho had his own cruise he did three of those those are badass yeah i forgot to print out the lineup but i know know it's Plain White Tees, Newfound Glory, and Tyler Hawthorne Heights, dude.

Yeah, they're there. I know. What's the sound noise for? Well, because they're also going to be in Vegas. If I have to pick one, I'm still going to go to Vegas. I'm sorry. Hawthorne Heights. These cruise ones are pretty crazy too because Holy Ship was the one I was thinking about. Oh, yeah. That's the one that's been around for a pretty long time because the artists are there on the boat with you, so they have these weird little events. And cruises, you know, you find stuff to do. You're on a boat in the middle of the ocean. You've got to do things. And they'll have you be walking down the area, and then, oh, there goes your favorite artist.

Or there goes so-and-so. And then they have, you know, I know on the Holy Ship cruise ship cruise they usually rent an island they pull off an island for the day and it's it's it's a good time yeah i mean dude cruises are the best i've only been on one but i mean i'm batting 100 for fun on them so we mentioned this on the woody show my favorite ones are where they don't take over the whole ship so they just decide like hey this is gonna be a raiders cruise but it's actually just on like a norwegian ship where families are just planning their vacation what a weekend next thing you know there's 2 000 raiders fans and then your family and you're like what the hell is this uh so it's like apparently that happens a lot too it's like the disneyland days like bats day where it's

unofficial but everybody shows up for you like why shows up. I'm assuming this one would be like an official, you have to buy tickets through their account. This one's official, but you hear about those cruises where out of nowhere, there's just a large group of people that just decided they're going to go on this one ship. I thought that'd be a little fun. I mean, I guess it just depends on the crowd, but you get big big parties on stuff like that cruises are impossible to have what about if you booked a cruise eric yeah you say it's fun right yeah what about if you booked a cruise and then you just happen to book the cruise that is going to be the all giants fans cruise well okay here's the thing i'm a i'm a make lemonade kind of guy make lemons make lemonade so i definitely would probably leave the Dodger hat.

You know what? No, I wouldn't. I'd encourage it. I'd have a blast. I'd probably get too drunk one night and get in the little riff. But I would encourage it. I mean, we've seen you get like that at other random things. So yeah, I can see that.

You might get a blackout one night. That's it. Plot twist. He gets on the cruise, realizes it's New York football giants weekend. So he's okay. It's like, ah, it passes. Throw a couple beers at me, I'm a friendly guy. Well, it's going to be a big Sunday weekend for football once again.

Last weekend was so good. One of the best football weekends ever. Yeah, people are saying 4-4, just great games. What, three walk-off field goals? So good. were saying it four for four just great games what three walk-off field goals so good capped off with the bills and the chiefs with how what was it 25 points in the final two minutes it's we're in the group text just texting each other like holy ish holy ish on almost all the games it was so good yeah so what are the predictions for this weekend because i want to hear from

tyler because then we'll know who's gonna win actually win because we'll just pick the opposite. Yeah. So this one, this one's for me is tough. So the NFC, I know San Francisco has a good defense, but Jimmy Garoppolo at the quarterback position just is not all that enticing at all. Then you look at the Ram side, Their defense is just as good, if not better than San Francisco's and their offensive playmakers are going to put as much stress on San Francisco's defense as possible.

I'm going to go Rams in the NFC and then the AFC. I love Joe Burrow and I love what the Bengals are doing, but that's what my heart says. My mind says Chiefs. That love what the Bengals are doing, but that's what my heart says. My mind says Chiefs. That's because the Bengals' defense, they give up a lot of passing yards per game and per play.

I got to go Chiefs. I think it's going to end up being a Chiefs-Rams Super Bowl. Chiefs-Rams, all right. Eric? It's funny because I'm actually probably going the opposite. Really? I've fallen in love with the 49ers recently. Really?

I've picked them once or twice for the last couple weeks. I didn't pick against them. I picked against them when they played the Rams. What was it? Week 18, 17, Tyler? I forget that.

And they beat the Rams in LA. In my mind, I was like, I know it, but I went with the home team. And I regret picking against them that week. Every team has their kryptonite. Patriots in Miami. They can't win. McVay versus Shanahan. the 49ers versus the Rams.

I don't think the Rams have beat the 49ers in the last six times, six tries, something like that. Probably leading Bengals, 49ers, actually. All right. I mean, the Bengals Chiefs did play each other, I think it was week 17, which only would have been about a month ago. And that game went down to the wire. And it was a shootout.

Yeah, that's what it was. Joey B, 400 yards, four touchdowns. Jamar Chase, 200 yards, three touchdowns. Well, my family and my brother-in-law loves you, Eric, for picking the 49ers. Okay. Because they're diehard 49ers. You know I'm a Bay Area hater, too.

So it says something. And, Borg, do you care at all? No, I don't care whatsoever, guys. He'll be watching the Puppy Bowl. Yes, I care about the Puppy Bowl. I'll share my part. My family's going to hate me for this, but for some reason I'm envisioning Rams-Bengals.

Yeah. I like it. Not that I, I mean, you know me. I'm an L.A. guy. I really don't care at this point because the Bills fell out so hard last week. I just want it to be a good game whenever whoever gets there. I don't want the Chiefs to win. And if you do remember, if you go back to the beginning of this year in the podcast,

I did say that Chiefs would not be going to the Super Bowl this year. Let's hope, man. I'm over the passion. It's really crazy to hear. It's like a talent, you know, play-by-play guys being able to do and call and do the play-by-play of a game. And with Mahomes' dick in their mouth. It's really crazy.

It's a talent. They're gargling it and then still doing the play-by-play. They love him so much. Look, here's my thing. I don't mind Mahomes that much. He's a great player. He's a great competitor. From everything I can tell that he does on the field, really nice guy.

It's his brother and his girlfriend. I cannot stand it. Oh, my God. He's surrounded by douchers. And there's just Mahomes fatigue, dude. It's like State Farm every commercial. And then the play-by-play, the Mahomesian throw. And literally, the dude could fall on his ass.

And oh, my God. Did you see how he fell? The way his ass absorbed that fall. It's like dude we get it he's good he's good okay i get i'm not trying to trash him it's gonna be okay we'll find out this sunday vort i am gonna change it up and talk about something that you do care about puppy ball how excited are you that the mandates for vaccines are not going to happen anymore for companies that have over 100 employees as a person that doesn't want to get vaccinated you get to come to work still man yeah guys how

excited are you i think i screwed up you've been preaching this the whole time i've been preaching it because i don't want anyone to have this the these things imposed on them i don't believe that the government should be able to do that to anybody if you think you know what's better for you than other people you know are telling you i think you should have the ability to choose for yourself with that said guys i screwed up i could have been at home i'm not here what the hell i still have to see sea bass this bald spot and i still have to like deal with people ah screw it up but with that said menace yes it is a win because i think again people have the right to choose that's why it's a free country well you were gonna have to go through weekly covid tests oh yeah that was gonna suck oh so when they started that i think i told

you menace every target i went into had a sign at home covid test sold out it's like well how am i gonna go to work so the at-home test went up to skyrocket amount. Yeah, it was like hundreds of dollars, right? I think there was like one rapid test that Woody had to take to go somewhere and it was going to be 300 bucks. Right, so the fair market value of it was out the window at that point

and it was just all over the place. Through all of this, I've just lost my faith in just humanity, man. Yes! Through the quarantine, like people dying out tons and tons of hand wash toilet paper and then reselling them for like 10 times the value i know the at home test the same thing stop selling them on ebay for 10 times face value it's like you guys are just a

special kind of ass dude take that and then add in the fact of how many people we still see on a daily basis cough sneeze without their mask on and then put their mask back on or go to the bathroom, use bathroom, don't wash their hands and leave after, you know, they were in that stall doing that stuff. You're like, man, didn't we just have a story on the Woody show recently about someone spread hepatitis through a restaurant because he didn't wash his hands after he dropped on dude, faith and humanity gone. So hopefully, hopefully all this will be wrapped up by March.

The cases are plummeting right now. And my prediction is wrapped up by March. There's going to be a new boogeyman for the media to talk about, which is either. Dude, there's either going to be. It's either I'm saying either Russia or it's going to be all about like selecting a new Supreme Court. You say that because my gym, there's no masks anymore, but it says everywhere mask mandate, abide by the law. No one cares.

I just need this wrapped up by May because that's the rescheduled date for Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim. I saw it passes and I told you guys there's music tours that are still being cancelled. I need this. I need just this. Let's say it's never fully going to go away. It's just going to be like being canceled. I need this. I need just this. Let's say it's, I mean, it's never fully going to go away.

It's just going to be like the flu. Yeah. Right. Um, so what's the game plan for you? Bort, are you going to keep on rocking the mask? Even like after,

let's say my prediction comes true. Right. And this thing is gone in March. Yeah. Um, I think I'll probably rock the mass for a little bit longer than that out in the open. Um,

and then I probably will reduce that in open areas and going to the stores and stuff but if i'm going to like a very busy place like a convention or something mass goes on screw it no faith in people anymore uh it's not even pre-pandemic it wasn't a big deal overseas for people to wear masks rock them all the time and that's the thing that's why i have such respect for the Japanese and the Chinese cultures because all of them are like, you're sick. Mask up or stay home. To be honest, too, this is right up Brett's alley, dude.

oh really that's nice we're moving to a brand new building I gotta visit you you wanna talk some Boba Fett real quick yes I do Eric doesn't cause he's not caught up yet he hasn't watched it yet i haven't and tyler doesn't watch the show i'm not gonna give it away but i talked about this past episode with ravey and ravey said this is the best episode that's been put out but that is problematic

and i agree with her a thousand percent do you understand what i'm saying i know exactly what you're saying i just think i don't think it's problematic i think that i can i'm gonna go earmuffs and i want you to be able to talk about this a little bit no no i don't know i don't want a computer i don't want to spoil it i don't want to because the only way to talk about it is spoiling okay okay so but i i agree it is the best episode of the series. Anyone that's listening will understand what I mean. This episode is not fully part of this series. It is like a side story of the series, right?

So it feels like a completely different vibe. It's like watching Star Wars, A New Hope and Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back. The entire Boba Fett series has felt like Empire Strikes Back. You know where it's going. It's kind of in a downer mood. There's a lot of bad things that happen. Luke gets his hand cut off. Darth Vader is Luke's father. Stuff like that. Wait! Spoiler! It's been out for 30 years!

All these downer things and then this episode makes it feel like other Star Wars that is very uplifting. It's very uplifting. It's very uplifting. It's very exploratory. It's fun. It's a bad ass. I love the episode. I think it was perfect.

I thought it was exactly what I love about Star Wars and certain characters and certain series and it was a breath of fresh air. But with that said, I want to see Boba Fett's story where it ends in this series. Yeah, we'll see. Because it's gonna, dude, the end episode is gonna be huge. Boba Fett's story where it ends in this series. All right. Yeah, we'll see.

Because it's good. Dude, the end episode is going to be huge. It better be huge. I'm coming for you. You're coming for me? Yeah. If I see any Vespas. If I see those stupid ass Vespas again.

Here's another thing. You got a little upset with me. I was, we were talking Peacemaker on the Woody show. New episode out today. I'm going to watch it right when I'm done with this podcast. I saw it. It's pretty damn good. Ravy said there hasn't been any negative press about Peacemaker.

That everybody loves it. It's great. It's the best thing ever. And I said, I agree. But have you talked to Bort? Bort said that Peacemaker is a low-rent Deadpool. And then I came into the studio after, and you're like, dude, what the heck? You called me out on that.

Oh, I wouldn't say called me out. I'd say more of like, you know, just going on a little rant. But didn't you say that? We have the audio. Yeah, I'm saying that the series is like a low-rent Deadpool because you guys are like, oh, action and guns and a rated R. I'm like, dude, it's not as good as Deadpool. Also, the character is not as good as Deadpool or a character like that. Most people don't know who Peacemaker is.

I remember him as a flop character in the 80s in comic books. Not a big fan. That's the problem. Brett has way too much history and knowledge of the overall landscape of it. Yeah. Me and you, we're just going in like, hey, John Cena's cussing and beating people up. This is dope as hell. Also, you forgot to mention to Ravy that I have a problem with John Cena. And that's my major problem with all of it.

Okay, I know. Minus Bubble Bee. I know. I hate Tyler. I know. Every time we bring up John Cena, you kind of make fun of him a little bit. But I only thought it was because you're making fun of Tyler because he's such a mark for John Cena. I didn't realize that you actually dislike John Cena.

So I wasn't picking up on that. Oh, it's both. One, Tyler is a giant mark for John Cena and the biggest fanboy of John Cena. Calm down. Yes. Also, I do have a problem with John Cena because of his Hulk Hogan-ness and he's not a great wrestler

and all those other fun things. But one more thing, Ravey, this is directed at Ravey. I know she'll hear this because she listens to this podcast. Ravey was like, oh, well that tracks for Bort being negative about stuff.

Ravey, my God. Me and her get along with Star Wars and all these other superhero things, but she likes to say I'm negative. Oh, she craps on every movie. about stuff. Ravey, my God. the giant detective Pikachu. Pikachu. Which we have not let go. We will not let go of that Pikachu. Me, Eric, and Randy will not let it go. Pikachu is great.

It is an A-plus freaking feature on a multi-billion dollar franchise, and it ruled minus five minutes of the movie that sucked Corny, but come on Everything else and don't watch and don't forget Godzilla. Oh, yeah Don't forget again a combat. Yeah, what the hell again going into it with way too much comic

It's a giant monster beating the crap out of another giant monster. They're kaiju monsters. They were freaking people in suits in Japan. John Cena cussing and beating people up. That's all you need. Oh, hell yes. Okay. Kaiju, I love.

Mortal Kombat, I love. Designated Pikachu, I love. Star Wars, I love. John Cena. Oh, wow. I'll give one episode a try. I'll give one. Okay. But I did like him in the Bumblebee movie. I don't know why a try. I'll give one. Okay.

But I did like him in the Bumblebee movie. I don't know why, but he was great in that. He sucks in everything else he does. He was good in Suicide Squad, the second one. Yeah. I didn't watch that. Yeah, I mean, it was good. I gave up.

It was good. The second one was good. The second one was good. I've watched it like two or three times. It takes a lot for me to watch a movie because I really don't care about movies. Yeah. He's been doing all that crazy stuff just online. But I mean, we still get what? Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Wee Man, and Preston, right? Yeah. Yeah, the Zachass guy. Because the plot points on it is basically the same thing. I mean, and you got Mark Wahlberg in there so it can't be much better than any of the other ones. Yeah. Lucky Mark, man. And she's like, no, no, no. I think you're being a little homer for Tom Holland.

I was watching him. It was, I don't know, some stupid video. He was in with Zendaya, and it was on Instagram. So I clicked on it, and I'm like, why is he was in was Zendaya and it was like on Instagram so I clicked on it and I'm like and then it's always those guys that like they're they're acting is talking without an accent uh-huh and you just assume that hey they're just some dude it's like the dude from Walking Dead yeah Rick arrives yeah he started talking I'm like what the hell clear yeah what's up with you clue Tom Holland was I don't know what I know it's so

crazy when that happens. I think he's British. Yes. Yeah. They're better than us in English. I know. What the hell? So good at it.

I was totally, I watched the video and I'm like, whoa, what the? Tyler, Uncharted? I've never played the video games, but I've seen the trailer. It actually looks decent. I'll give it a shot. I usually kind of like those types of movies.

So I think I'm all in it. Also looking forward into movie releases in March. You got Batman all in, all out. Did you see that new poster? I have not. Do you want to see it? Am I still correct in my predictions that this is not going to be a good movie? You're talking to the right guy with this one.

The only cool things are like the penguin looks kind of cool and Catwoman, but I'm getting a really intense Gotham vibe. Did you watch like the first season of Gotham and go, this is

kind of a cool show? And afterwards you're like, this is not a good show. This went off the rails and is not cool. Alright, I'm still sticking with my prediction. I've only made a couple movie predictions that they would suck and I said Wonder Woman 2 was going to suck. I was right. And then I said

Eternals was not going to be a good movie. So I'm still batting a thousand on my predictions. Eternals was too far-fetched of a movie to do. It just really was. And that's saying from a guy who actually was excited to go see Guardians of the Galaxy not being a fan of the comic or anything. And I thought that was

brilliant, but dude, they don't need to do these movies. Take a break. Alright. Moving forward. Nothing really in April happening, but in March, you got Top Gun. Hell yeah. I'm gonna watch that.

Dude, I'm gonna watch the hell out of that. That's one where you gotta go see it in theaters, right? Oh, yeah. Totally. You have to. IMAX, everything. I want my seat rumbling, dude. I want to be in the effing place.

The first one was so good i just got to see it just for the laughs of it i hope there's a volleyball scene i hope he does go and flirt it flips someone the bird or something you know that'd be cool yeah i know tyler's stoked he's been preaching about top gun maverick for the moment you heard about it it looks pretty freaking awesome so now will you go to the theater to watch have you gone to the movie theaters since you lived in houston uh yeah so i've only been once and that's because the majority of the time i was here movies were closed because of covid and then as movies slowly started coming back there's nothing i really wanted to see until spider-man came out and i was like well

gotta go see that theater so i saw that the night it came out. Tom Holland fan. Here we go. He's Tom Holland Homer. Also, you have Doctor Strange coming out and I forget the main character, like the actor's name is Cumberbatch. Benedict Cumberbatch. His name came up the other day on the show and I'm like, who is that? I know the name

but I didn't put two and two together. I've watched all the Doctor Strange movies. I liked it. So I'm interested, who is that? I know the name, but I didn't put two and two together. It wasn't until 2020, I think maybe about three or four years after the first one came out, that I finally got around to seeing the first three. And I them and i said is it pretty damn good yeah i think i saw a weird stat about the last john wick where like the amount of words he said throughout the entire movie was actually like extremely low because it's just massive fight scenes oh like the last born movie yeah maybe it was the born one that i saw like one of those it's like yeah it's just one of those i mean i probably would like it but I'm just never really. Bourne 5, I think he said less than 50 words

or something. All right. Well, I went all the way until June. So I stopped at June. And in June, you have Jurassic World. Yes! Oh, yeah.

And then they meshed really well. I actually watched Infinity War last night because Captain America Civil War was on TV.

And it ended and I'm like, oh, might as well watch Infinity War. And then you forget how well he just kind of blends into that group of characters. Yeah, it's like Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon, and Samuel L. Jackson, Nick Fury. You go back and watch that movie and then you kind of see where they're like,

okay, they're laying the groundwork for that series there they're laying the groundwork for this series here so I'm pumped for Thor yeah I want to start one last one that would be in July Black Adam starring The Rock is that horn worthy I don't know

yeah that's the first I'm hearing about I have no idea what Black Adam is. Oh, really? No idea. All right, so Black Adam. I swear to God. I was like, that's what I was waiting.

No clue. First I've heard of it. Really? They've been pumping it up. Black Adam is the Shazam that kills. So he's not necessarily a villain, not necessarily a hero. He kind of goes both lines. Is this that teaser thing he talked about that the quote was going around?

He's like, oh, I'm in another movie. No, no, that's not a video game. He's going to be in a video game. Yeah, that's a video game one going on. No, this movie's been in production for a while. But yeah, so he plays Black Adam and it's going to be like he has the power of thunder and all these things, but he can kill and will kill.

So we get to see The Rock as a superhero kill a bunch of people. Okay. Okay, so let me see. I'm in for that. I'm more in for that than Batman. kill and will kill so we get to see the rock as a superhero kill a bunch of people okay okay so i'm more i know batman i knew that this movie was coming out i know nothing about the character would you say that he's kind of a punisher type in a way no he he's more a-hole like than the punisher because the punisher is after vengeance this This guy's just like, you pissed me off, I'm going to kill you.
