What's new? What's new with Menace?
What's up everybody and welcome to another edition of What's New Pod. I'm Menace. I'm joined by Borch, a.k.a. Brett.
He's an audio expert and syndication expert with the Woody Show Morning Show that you can hear across the United States and around the world on AFN.
We're also joined by our friend Eric, who is in Downey california right now and in the same building
but not in the same room our buddy randy they both work for the nfl podcasting network our friend
tyler cannot join us today because he has started a new job he is going to be probably joining us
next week and last week i'm sorry we didn't have a podcast for you because we had randy i believe
you're in Mexico, correct?
That's right.
I was in Mexico, Cancun, with some family.
Nice.
And then Eric, he was at a very popular destination that we talk about quite often here in our podcast, the Coachella Valley.
We're going to be talking about that.
And Julianne, who was going to join us, ended up in Boston.
Yep.
And Brett is in the middle of moving.
And I believe I was probably doing something.
So we didn't have a podcast for you.
So I apologize for that.
Real quick, though, a little business.
Coming up this Saturday, July 29th from 2 to 4 p.m.,
I'm going to be at the grand opening of Pizza Hut in Arlita.
So come on through because, of course, you know,
I always have theme park tickets, concert tickets,
Woody Show merch, and so much more.
There will be free pizza at Pizza Hut in Arlita this Saturday, July 29th.
Keep an eye on my social media because I'll have a preview screening
of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem.
Going down for real.
I'm going to be doing that at Sinopolis.
If you've been paying attention to my social media or listening to the Woody show, Sinopolis, IMAX, brand new in Inglewood. We're talking about high-end luxury cinema and right next to Randy and Eric's work.
How is it for you guys now to have a movie theater and walking distance from
your work?
Don't even have to my car after work.
Don't clock out and just walk over,
be,
be in the movie theater within like five minutes.
I know.
And you're going to love this too,
because they have a gigantic bar area that is right in front of the theater.
So you don't actually have to buy tickets to go in.
So it's going to be a cool hangout spot for the Clippers games with that new arena right across the street also sofi stadium
so it's going to be an awesome pre-game area that's been kind of the one lacking thing in
that area is there's really no shopping or eating areas it's because it's still all being developed
i mean so far was the first major thing to open yeah like you said the clippers stadium is being
open was an intuit dome and having more stuff to do than just go and watch football.
It's going to be popping, man.
It's going to roll.
And right after this podcast, later on this afternoon, Eric, I'm going to be at Sinopolis with all of your family watching the Barbie movie.
You know, first thing I did this morning was send a text to my family group message.
Reminder, movie, 3 p.m.
Don't be late.
Be there by 2.45. because my family runs on robert's
time yeah like to be right on time or five minutes late so i'm like and you know you know me i'm kind
of like complete opposite i was like i hate being like running behind schedule i'm gonna be nervous
all day like not wondering if my family's gonna make it on time to menace's event yeah the movie
will start without them i have a very important question, though.
Where's Eric during this?
Why is he not joining the rest of the family?
I'm not.
I'm going to be going and getting a tattoo today.
Nice.
It kind of messed up because when we did the Mission Impossible screening
like two weeks ago, my wife, Dr. Sunshine, she jokingly told me,
she's like, so when's the Barbie screening?
And then like four days later, Menace is like, yo, got a Barbie screening this day. And I'm like, oh, Dr. Sunshine, she jokingly told me, she's like, so when's the Barbie screening? And then four days later, Menace is like,
yo, got a Barbie screening this day.
And I'm like, oh, sick.
So I texted my wife about it, and she's like,
crap, we're getting tattooed that day.
Ah, damn it.
But, you know, I think the fine people at Sinopolis
will be seeing me and Leanne tomorrow night,
Saturday night.
Nice.
We're just going on our own.
Well, and a movie that actually Eric and myself
are both excited
for, which is very rare, Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Hell yeah.
And dude, there's a pop-up
in Santa Monica with a Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtle experience that's happening.
What? Yes. It's going
down. Why am I just finding out about this?
Yeah, look it up. Santa Monica
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem Experience. It's happening in Santa Monica. I believe until one down why am i just finding out about this yeah look it up santa monica teenage mutant ninja
turtles mutant mayhem experience it's happening in santa monica i believe until august 2nd so
go look that up online and get all the details on how to get into that sick you get to walk
through their sewer lair yes dude let's go let's go i had that play set as a kid i get to be that in real life i know it's it's super
awesome so all this stuff is kind of happening around sulfi stadium sinopolis and that just gets
us geared up and excited for sports are you guys ready to start the nfl season it's coming whether
we're ready or not yeah i was gonna say i was like doesn't matter if we're ready that train that
train is coming downhill fast i mean to pull the current back a little bit, I did go visit Eric at work.
Randy was out of town.
But your offices are absolutely incredible.
And I could see it was buzzing, people getting ready for the season.
And I will be there quite often now that Sinopolis is there.
And we're going to be gearing up for the Chargers season.
And it's in August. It's here. It's ready to go. Talking to Randy about this, aring up for the charger season and it's in august it's here it's
ready to go i'm talking to randy about this we go for walks every now and then around the lake out
in sofi it's like it gotta get some sun we're sitting too much so we're ready for walks how
adorable yeah so but like you could kind of like we're in sofi we walk right by sofi frame who's
been the lake so you can do the lake we look at it and we're kind of talking about how the the wave
of activity is coming like it's been kind of dead for the last like you can do the lake we look at it and we're kind of talking about how the the wave of
activity is coming like it's been kind of dead for the last like you know five six months you
know coming out of winter but like we got we got a week of swifties coming up we got beyonce we got
a um a european soccer game on top of all of the the football games that are coming chargers rams
like so far is about to be buzzing again i mean the week and a half of swifties is going to
be right outside our window i know it's going to be popping over there so fine yeah it's gonna be
wild think of how many um street dogs you guys get to get i know every night i know it is popping i
went over to the forum because paramore was doing a couple shows there i got to go into their sound
check which was freaking awesome by the. But just right over across the street
at the same time,
a Peso Pluma show was happening
over at the YouTube theater.
And people forget, like,
there's a whole nother music venue
across the street from the Forum.
Most people do, unless you're me,
because I'll be at the YouTube theater
in October for Babymetal.
Noice!
Hell yeah.
It's going to be crazy
when they finish the Intuit Dome
because that's going to be, you know, the home base for the Clippers. It's going to be crazy when they finish the Intuit Dome because that's going to be
the home base for the Clippers.
It's a major sporting facility, and there's
going to be a time of year where those games are
going to probably overlap.
Plus, with the YouTube theater and the
forum, it's going to be wild. Imagine if
things are happening at every single
spot at the same time.
That's like a mile and a half of
300,000 people because then
you got the hollywood park casino area smack dab in the middle with just like movies and eateries
and stuff i'm gonna sit in the middle and watch a movie beforehand get there super early it's gonna
take randy and me like an hour to get out of work every night for like the next six months i mean
they have those apartment buildings right next door guys I say you both go in on one, save some money, and some time driving.
And you guys get to be together even more often.
Come on.
You guys love each other.
Come on.
We'll figure it out.
We'll figure out the rest.
We'll hash out those details.
Yeah, the first Chargers game is going to be versus the Rams on Saturday, August 12th.
So get your tickets at chargers.com.
That's going to be super fun.
I can't wait for the season.
Speaking about sports, extreme sports, X Games is happening tomorrow in Ventura.
I'm trying to go.
I'm trying to get in.
A lot of tickets have been sold out for the level of ticket that I want.
And it reminds me of Sean White.
Have you guys watched the new Sean White docuseries called The Last Run?
I watched the whole thing. It's incredible. The Last Run? I watched the whole thing.
It's incredible.
Oh, no.
I haven't watched it.
Oh, dude.
I won't give it away, but he fully shows this crazy, gnarly injury that he had after visiting the Woody show.
Oh, really?
Like, in the same month, he came to do an interview with us.
Oh, I remember that, yeah.
And I went to go look at the dates.
I'm like, oh, my God.
He came and hung out at the show that month and then later that month dude crazy like not edited at all
shows this injury and it's like one of the most brutal things i've ever seen oh that's weird that
put me in such a time warp because that was like the first interview that i helped work on for the
woody show oh really yeah that was that long ago. So, damn, man, that injury knocked him out.
Dude.
He was able to recover, like, right away.
And I'm like, how?
It was insane.
But I was going to say,
did you guys ever watch that Tony Hawk documentary?
Yes.
It was on Max.
That one's crazy.
They have a part where they pan off to individual interviews
with some old-school skaters,
and they talk about, like, the injuries the injuries and like the tolls they take.
And I mean,
it seems like a no brainer.
Like,
of course you slam on the ground a bunch of times it's going to lead to
something.
But for some reason you never kind of like connect the dots of pro skaters
and these pro athletes.
But it's like,
think about all the wear and tear they've taken.
Like even Sean White,
like that injury,
which I haven't seen the documentary yet,
but imagine how many times a dude spilled and like has fallen.
It's crazy, dude.
Well, not even pro skaters.
Like think of everybody that tries to even get to the level of pro skater
and you're either skating, you're blading, you're surfboarding, snowboarding,
any of the BMXing.
One wrong move could hurt you for a long time.
Look around this room.
Yeah.
Menace.
Broken arm.
Me?
Yeah. Hurt part of my back? You guys have to watch it it's so good uh so hopefully i make it to the x games on sunday though for sure
i'm gonna go to the ninja turtles pop up that's gonna be fun uh oh i don't know what you guys
are watching but i just watched this series you guys probably wouldn't be into it, but it is called Survival of the Thickest.
Is that the one on Netflix?
It's on Netflix.
Of course you are.
It's pretty funny, dude.
It's about this girl that's like a stylist and like her life and her relationships and stuff like that.
I don't know.
I liked it.
I thought the title of the show was pretty funny.
Why did it make me think thousand
pound sisters immediately just because so it's not thousand pound sisters no no no not at all
that's a better name for the other series i like that one you can swap them oh yeah and then you
can have them fight to the death so that it is survival of the thickest oh do you know what's
crazy is the founder of megababe which we talked about on the show
if you don't know what megababe is look it up but um it is a lifesaver and randy and i started
using megababe yes but the founder she has a cameo in the tv show oh what rules i'm just like
randomly watching she's like part of of some club scene in the show.
And I'm like, wait, I know who that is.
Yeah, it was pretty cool.
Anyways.
That's rad.
Go check it out on Netflix.
Survival of the Thickest.
Are you guys watching anything?
Streaming anything right now?
Or are you just too busy with your lives?
I've been streaming some stuff.
My girlfriend started streaming Insecure on HBO.
I think it's Issa Rae yeah it's a good
show I watch a lot of
I watch a lot of shows second hand
second handedly if you will because
she puts it on and I normally wouldn't watch it
and I end up actually getting pretty into it like I watched
Atlanta Modern Family
you know the Insecure
and it's like it shows I normally wouldn't
put on and then i watch i'm
like all right i can get into this and then i inevitably end up getting into it but now the
stuff i've been watching it's like old man stuff like documentaries lame lame stuff all right well
there's you know there's fun young documentaries you can watch or there's like cult documentaries
there's one i watched recently uh this isn't the what i'm currently God, man. You can leave this in.
I am frazzled today from this move.
I don't know if you guys can notice. I'm a little off.
There is one documentary I saw
recently that I love, though. It was on
Tubi. It was called
Ska. It was the history of Ska
before,
but it really focused on
the giant
boom it had in the 90s.
Nice.
Coming up in Orange County and L.A. area.
It's very fascinating, and everyone that's touched on it
had a big influence on SCOB booming from where it was and where it is today.
Very fascinating.
But watching?
Dude, Pokemon.
Pokemon.
You're back in the thick of it in Pokemon?
Well, they released the third part
of the final season.
Spoilers, but I saw, we already know,
but Ash became Pokemon champion.
Nice!
And now I'm waiting.
They're dragging out Ash's goodbye, though.
There's a lot of parts.
Now they're doing it, Randy?
It's been a long time.
Well, I mean,
it's like, you would think after,
oh, yeah, I guess that makes sense.
Like after 20 plus years.
Well, Randy, they have this thing where they have to
dub it into English.
So that takes a minute, you know,
and then they have to schedule releases.
He's been trying to become a Pokemon master since like 96.
Yeah, and somehow he's still 12.
They're dragging it out.
But yeah, it's getting to the end.
They just announced yesterday, actually,
that the final few episodes of Ash's Journey in English
will be on Netflix in early September.
And this is it, kids.
All right.
Eric, are you watching anything?
I just recently started that new series,
Quarterback, on Netflix.
Oh, yeah.
They follow Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins,
and Marcus Marita around for last
season kurt cousins is kind of a dork but i like him yeah he's he's i think he's the real winner
through this series is because he's he's like he's bland so it's like funny when he does quirky
stuff but i think out of everything he's kind of the winner because people are coming out like hey
he's kind of a nice guy which everybody knew he's a really christian guy i mean he's kind of a nice guy, which everybody knew. He's a really Christian guy. I mean, he's your typical, like, you know,
church-going guy.
Yeah.
But, like, I think I've only got the first couple episodes,
but it was like he's kind of portrayed as the football nerd.
Patrick Mahomes, they're obviously following him because he's Mahomes, and he went to the Super Bowl.
And then Mariota just kind of, like,
falls away into the, you know, the outlier part.
Yeah, believe it or not,
Ravy and Woody were praising Kurt on
the Woody show saying how much they
liked him on that show.
He's a likable dude. He just plays football.
He's a family guy. He's not an
ass.
That's the thing. It's kind of contrast because they're
following Patrick Mahomes around too. Obviously,
he's Mahomes. He's blowing up.
He has all this extracurricular stuff.
The storylines, how they do it it is way different like mahomes is very you know outside life social
parties stuff like that and then kirk is very much the football like journey yeah most of the season
and then also his t-shirts yeah selection so it's pretty funny yeah it's cool it's fun um yeah it's
really cool i know
that you've been busy though how was your getaway in the coachella valley you rented out a house
with your family you had a pool like right on the water the lake out there it looked pretty fun
yeah it was dope dude yeah we went out there for a couple days the paramour was out in the
coachella valley at accresher arena on what was it saturday night so we went out thursday family
was out there all weekend. I spent 90%
of the time in the pool. Like literally, we
brought like board games and stuff to play in the house. And
I don't think we were in the house for more than like 10 minutes at a
time. The weather was hot.
But I mean, you're in a pool having some
drinks. But yeah, no, we went to
Paramore Saturday night, came home.
My wife went to Paramore again last night at the forum.
So she was out there too with you, man.
She's a little bit addicted to it.
Yeah.
Sorry I didn't give her a heads up on that soundcheck thing.
I literally went last minute.
I wasn't even on the parking list to get in for it because.
We're never on the parking list for anything.
I know, but I, yeah, I went super last minute because I had the meeting with Sinopolis.
But Randy Cancun.
Yes.
How was that?
Oh, it was great, man man i got to hang out with
my mom and my sister uh first time i've been able to take a vacation with my mom in like
geez four five years you know because always kind of put work ahead of it it's like oh well you know
the season's coming up and blah blah blah blah and this trip almost didn't happen but last second i
was like you know what screw it let's do it let's go on vacation so i was very happy to go with her
you know we did nothing crazy obviously it was my mom's 61st birthday so we played a cool
resort did some outings here and there where'd you stay royal solatis so it's uh my parents bought a
membership there when i was a little kid so we my mom's always trying to go to either cobb or
cancun because that's where the locations are at for the hotel fancy uh only tough part though was
uh like the week we went i think it was the week that the temperature overall temperature of the earth like broke like three times because
it was so hot dude it was insane plus we had humidity it was like 80 percent humidity you
had to bust out your mega babe yeah i had to buy a whole tub a bucket of it it was insane
crazy well the tough part too is like we did an excursion because you know my sister she wants
to do crazy stuff she wants to go jet skiing she wants to do all these things and now it's like i i you know my mom my
mom's like i'll do whatever you guys want to do but it's like i'm not going to subject my mom to
like an off-roading vehicle because it's like you know i don't know how she's going to handle that
yeah and then i don't trust my sister on a jet ski and stuff so i'm like guys how about we just
find something that's cool for everyone so we ended up up going to Isla Mujeres, which is like an island off the coast.
And, I mean, it was cool.
Social media made it seem like a lot better than it actually was.
It was like a million degrees.
It was a million degrees.
But it was like, you know, we got there, and everything was way too expensive.
I did get Eric a pretty cool little souvenir uh that i saw at a randomly
at a store and i was able to haggle the price down pretty low oh yeah that's what i love in
mexico haggling it's fun yeah the only places i get to do it is in new york and in mexico that's
it yeah we're like the price isn't the price yeah usually usually though like the problem is
my mom is she's a seasoned veteran uhggler, so we'll be going somewhere.
Oh, you're there for an hour.
Yeah, we're there for an hour.
I feel like I'm getting momentum, and then the conversation, negotiation just erupts.
We're all three of us standing there.
Because it's been a while since we've all been out and done an outing.
But my mom's eyes, I'm her kid, so I'm still the little one.
My voice isn't as loud as hers in some places. So i'm trying to negotiate a price for a shirt for my for my
girlfriend and my mom's talking to this lady about something completely separate and she's like nope
we're done let's go oh no and then the lady who's talking to me is like all right well i guess you
guys see you later i'm like what the the only thing i was like in the midst of negotiating i
feel in mexico you would be able to haggle down to a price
where you can both agree on,
but now I think Mexico has gotten, I don't know,
smarter about it where they'll let you go.
Before, they wouldn't let you go.
They would eventually sell you the item,
but now I feel like, okay,
their bottom line price is their bottom line price,
and they're not going to go any lower.
Dude, I literally was having
that conversation on the island with someone about that like we went to multiple stores where they're
like uh 30 bucks i'm like nope all right see you yeah usually usually you'd be like no we're okay
i need to walk away and they'd be like okay here you go here you go this price yeah i wonder i
wonder if it's if it's like regional like if like Cabo and stuff it's the same.
I know.
I was in Tulum.
Dude, they wouldn't go down any lower.
They were okay with letting me go.
I was like, all right, peace.
You know why?
Maybe it's a regional thing.
I think it's a post-pandemic thing because everybody started looking at their stuff like,
one, I know my stuff is of value.
But then when people started going out, they started throwing money like the wind man they
didn't care they're like i'll drop 50 on this it doesn't matter like so everybody now has these
standards and they're not going to go down on them the only things you can really haggle for now
are at the flea market sometimes because they do that stuff now too where they're like this
broken whatever this is worth 200 or bootleg t-shirts guys that's the only thing you really
haggle for anymore.
The strategy when I did my cruise down to Mexico when I got engaged was they would pull you in with tequila shots.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Each place had like a coconut or something, and they would pull you in, hey, free tequila, and they're feeding you tequila as you're getting deeper into the little booth.
And next thing you know, you're like 75 feet deep in carpets and you're drunk in
the back of it then they're like do you want to buy and i'm like where am i i don't even need to
get out of here nice you guys want some food news i guess might as well dip into it i don't have a
lot of food news not a lot of food news going on these days but um krispy kreme the m&m's mashup i
don't know if you saw that they they've done a collab. We actually got to try them.
You know I'm the biggest hater on Krispy Kreme,
but the M&M's ones were pretty freaking good.
So I highly recommend them.
Every dog has it today.
Also, did you see that Taco Bell won that lawsuit?
Taco Tuesday is now free for everybody to use.
That slogan can be used everywhere.
Taco John's, who own the copyright decided hey you know what it was
too much to fight this we're just gonna let it go and everyone is free to use taco tuesday
which i don't even know over a phrase yeah who knows how much money they actually
made off that by owning that how much did they lose in that lawsuit i know just by trying to
fight it yeah
just let it go it's taco tuesday come on come on everybody says it i think i think that's why i
think that's why taco bell won like they were like we can't we can't do this because taco ball was
like we got lawyers for days yeah we got we're good we got dumb bel grande money taco tuesday
is for everybody come on oh we did i introduced menace to the kiosk at taco bell oh
yeah because i'd never go inside a taco bell anymore yeah i'd always do drive-thru exclusively
and i go wait a minute there's kiosks in every single location now this rule yeah and we went
to every like a bunch of locations right not every but bunch and each one was like oh there's
the kiosk hey it like showed them all
the customization features we legit went to five different locations because we're doing some work
every location had the kiosk and i was blown away i'm like this is awesome minimal contact
maximum customization yes it ruled also can i give a big shout out to our friends at Shakey's Pizza because they stopped by the studio the other day and they loaded us up with so many pizzas.
So many.
It was so good.
And thank you again with that partnership with Pepsi.
It was super fun to meet with all the listeners for days on end and just doing a bunch of giveaways.
It was super fun.
But Shakey's came through to the studio and hooked everybody up.
It was the best.
So many mojos, so many pizzas.
And, you know, they even took care of me.
Full veggie pizza.
Oh, nice.
I ate pizza for hours.
I know.
And Gregori got to relive his glory days when he used to work at Shakey's.
He was handing out slices to everybody.
It was pretty cool.
You know, maybe we should have that every day.
True.
So Shakey's, if you want to deliver every day, take care of us.
We love you so much.
But also just have Greg serve us every day.
Yeah.
It sounds like we should hook him up with a uniform.
I love it.
It'd be legit.
I have a Shakey's hat in my car.
Let's get it.
Let's do it.
Oh, speaking of partners, our friends at Norm's, they're opening up a brand new Ontario location
that opens up this Tuesday.
What?
Yes.
It's awesome.
Sounds like we need to go.
Quick.
I was just at Norm's in Van Nuys the other day.
I took my friend, who's from Northern California, who has not experienced Norm's, and he is
a food snob. He gave it the seal of approval I'm like how can he go wrong
with norms it's so delicious and especially right now affordable yeah
that's great and you can find a norms pretty much everywhere it's a great
dining experience and dude I love Norm's actually drive by the one on Imperial
and was it Crenshaw the one yeah that's where I shot the commercial yeah oh yeah
it's yeah it's big it's nice has that old school kind of diner look it's kind of tip top for the
area yeah it's delicious man so shout out to the new Ontario location and I think on social media
I will be giving away some more gift cards so oh at menace hit me up m-e-n-a-c-e you guys want to
switch it up with some tech news real quick? Oh, yeah.
Are we still using threads?
Yes or no?
Yeah, I've been using it more so.
I mean, I don't know.
Just kind of like when my early days in Twitter, just saying absolute nonsense into the ether.
Give me an example of some of the nonsense that you're saying, maybe.
Just one thing.
Pulled my back.
Probably the worst I've ever pulled it at a gym, the hotel gym in Cancun such as like oh yeah i forgot to tell you guys i pulled my back in the hotel at
cancun totally forgot about this i couldn't stand up straight for like two days so that that probably
also uh uh kind of had a point of hand in why we didn't do any crazy outdoor excursions okay cool
so randy randy is tyler on threads awesome okay moving on from threads
but eric did you ever sign up no i'm still on the outside looking
i'm still a twitter guy awesome okay well uh i've been using it what i do like even though
the engagement has definitely fallen off like by 70 percent of when everybody first signed on. I do like it because it is in what Meta said it was going to be,
aka Facebook, a more positive place versus Twitter,
where it's all ishy people constantly.
Right.
That's why you don't really see me post too much on Twitter,
because 80% of the stuff I would post on Twitter would get a negative response,
even though it might have been
any random thing.
Even though threads, the engagement
is way down, more
positive vibe. So I do
like it a lot. That's a good thing.
I do appreciate what they
did recently though, what they announced about how people
are going to have limits for what they can post during
the day. I understand that can be problematic for
brands or notable people,
but for overall just sort of accounts that just spam a bunch of crap
and just kind of like on Twitter where all they do is just comment bad stuff
on people's stuff, I do enjoy the fact that once you reach 20 to 15 responses
during the day, you're done.
Yeah, take a break.
Unless you reach out to them personally.
Yeah, unless you reach out to them personally and then they give they do something i don't know what the hell it
is i do kind of appreciate that because on twitter that's that's all it is sometimes and it's like yo
dude off your phone my god like you look at you look at posts sports posts it's just people
talking nonsense or people talking bad stuff and i do agree with that that part though minutes like
threads does seem much more positive like i'm not being bombarded with stuff about war
and about people boycotting
stuff. Political crap constantly.
It's back to
early fun social stuff.
It's good.
Speaking about fun, right before
this podcast started,
I got my new car finally.
Yes!
I got the B car finally. Yes. Oh, shit. All right.
I got the BZ4X all electric Toyota thanks to Southern California Toyota dealers.
You know that I got to get one for a couple of weeks during Coachella and Stagecoach.
Yeah.
And I didn't want to give it back.
Nope.
At all.
But now I finally have my own i was literally in it for about 45 seconds just to drive around the corner put it into the parking garage before we started
this podcast but i already know all about it and i'm super excited to have it the apple carplay
is super legit if you have apple carplay by the way this is what you should do you should download the iHeartRadio app search Alt

day straight off the dash in your car and while you're on the iHeartRadio app just search Menace
and you can find this podcast and you just click favorites and every time we have a new episode you'll be notified also i know
on the alt 98.7 stream you can uh win even extra cash i know we've been doing thousand dollar
giveaways on air but just a recent thing on the stream they're doing like five thousand dollar
giveaways which is pretty insane that's true they are and of course listen to the mothership the
woody show just typehip the woody show
just type in the woody show and click favorites all on the iheart radio app using carplay and
thank you to the southern california toyota dealers who are the founding sponsor of the
woody show we would not be here without them so thank you to them and i can't wait to take the
bz out to sinopolis later and hang out with eric's family it's gonna be fun yeah say
hi to my mom for me while you're there i will i will the whole fam i'm so jealous of you guys
with the apple carplay i think all three of you have it and my car is not old by any means it just
i think it was the model before it got apple carplay and i am so effing jealous oh it's the
best no idea it's pretty amazing we used it for all of our Pepsi Shakey's adventures in the RAV4.
It was really fun.
It's legit.
You're lucky sons of bitches.
All right, guys.
Well, got to get out here.
Got to head on over to that movie screening.
Get to check out Barbie.
It's getting crazy good reviews.
You're doing Barbie, right, Eric?
Tomorrow, you said.
Yeah, yeah.
We'll be there at some point.
Maybe not tomorrow because we'll see how my leg feels after this tattoo.
But at some point this weekend, we'll be over in Sinopolis in Inglewood.
So you guys can keep the seats warm for me.
Okay, I'll do that.
I just want to make sure he wasn't watching Oppenheimer.
I didn't want to misquote.
No, no.
We'll be there for Barbie.
I don't know if I'll be able to drag Leanna Oppenheimer.
That might be a watch at home kind of thing so she can stare at her phone.
But Ninja Turtles, though.
Ninja Turtles.
You know what, actually,
I just got a pretty dirty look from her
because she's sitting next to me,
so maybe we'll be seeing Oppenheimer at some point.
Oh, wow, okay.
Never mind.
You can do Barbenheimer then.
Double feature.
Yeah, double feature this weekend.
Never mind.
I just got mad.
If looks could kill,
I don't know what would happen.
I know that look.
Just offend her.
Whoops.
All right, man.
Again, if you want to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
Mutant Mayhem, which comes out August 2nd,
and you want to watch it early,
make sure you pay attention to my social media,

Super excited about that.
Of course, check out our boy, Joe Coy.
I got to hang out with him
at Fluffy's birthday party, which was
freaking lit, by the way.
Dude, Fluffy had a freaking
drone show at this party.
He had Lucha Vavum
wrestling. He had
endless food spreads,
live bands, performers,
celebrities everywhere. It was
such a good time. Thank you to Gabriel Iglesias for inviting me to that party.
And I got to hang out with Joe Coy.

And, of course, listen to The Mothership, The Woody Show,
Monday through Friday on the iHeartRadio app.
Randy, you have anything to say before we leave?
Oh, man, I'm going to go see Oppenheimer on Sunday.
The movie starts exactly at 7 because the film they're using is like 11 miles long and 700 pounds or something.
So there's no room for trailers.
Like you have to be there.
Randy amazed by having to be on time for a movie.
What?
Yeah.
I will be there. You got to to be on time for a movie. What? Yeah. This weird thing. I will be there.
You got to be there on time?
If only you had to do that for lots of things in life, right?
Weird.
Almost everything.
Oh, Randy.
All right, Eric.
Anything to say before we leave?
I know we have some friends over at Obsidian.
Been kind enough to send us some swag bags in the past.
Oh, yes.
I started playing a game by them called
Grounded. It's a blast.
It's like Starship Troopers meets
A Bug's Life meets Honey, I Shrunk
the Children. So you're like, you're
really small in a backyard and you're finding off giant
bugs and spiders. So I played it for
like five hours yesterday while my wife was at Paramore
because I was home alone. So I'm pretty
deep in that game. So I just want to give them a shout out.
Obsidian people, you rock.
Nice.
Shout-out to Nate and Demi, who are very awesome to us from Obsidian.
Sweet.
It's a fun game.
They've worked on it.
It's changed a lot from the first version.
Long ago, in the yesteryear, when I had a video game podcast,
I interviewed one of the guys who worked on it,
and he told us all about it.
And to see the way it's changed now, because it's not one of their biggest titles, is awesome.
And I'm happy to hear Eric experiencing a lot of the stuff that you see online.
And that I experienced, like being chased by giant spiders and crafting weapons to fight bugs and stuff.
So maybe I should start playing ground again, Eric.
Maybe you inspired me.
But Eric, how many more days until football season?
Ooh, I believe we are at 49, I want to say.
Nice!
Yeah, 49.
I think we're around there.
Maybe give or take a day.
Maybe 40.
I know the last one I saw was 50, and I believe that was Thursday.
So we're definitely under 50.
Oh, heck yeah.
All right.
Well, Randy, Eric, it was nice knowing you.
I know that you get really, really busy, and you have no time for us little people.
But don't forget about us.
I'll miss you guys.
We'll be right outside the stadium constantly,
right outside to work, doing stuff.
If anything, we're going to see each other more
because you'll be right down.
You'll be like five minutes away
and we can hang out after work.
Yeah, that'd be fun.
Now I'm really jealous.
Thanks, guys.
I'll be over here.
All right.
You can always come along.
Don't tempt me. I'll set up a remote studio over here. All right. You can always come along. Don't,
don't tempt me.
I'll set up a remote studio over there.
And then,
oh,
what the crazy thing is,
Tyler,
his office that he's at is like five miles from you guys now.
So it's like the band is getting back together in real life.
Like see each other.
That's a deterrent.
All right.
Well,
we can't have one episode go by without a Tyler slam
we need it
we gotta keep it up
alright guys well we'll see you next week
