Starting point is 00:00:49 Hey, what's up, everybody, and welcome to another edition of What's New Pod. I am Menace. I am giving you a little something different today. I'm going to break it down for you, okay? I have been a little overwhelmed and I haven't had a chance to record a podcast and we keep on trying. And tomorrow would be the initial day that we would record. But I'll tell you what happened. Before that, though, I just want to let you know that coming up on Tuesday, September 22nd, I'm still going to be at Habit Home Base for a Dodgers watch party. I believe Vaughn and Bort are going to join me.
Starting point is 00:01:30 It starts at 7 p.m. So it's going to be a late one. So you have no excuses not to show up. I will be giving away Dodgers tickets. And the habit is so cool. They always load us up with a bunch of prizes. And on top of that, we have all our prizes from IHeart. So if you love the Dodgers and you've never been to the habit home base in Echo Park, you're going to love this place.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Okay? So grab yourself some dinner. Hang around, watch the game, and have a chance to win some prizes. Now, this is a big one. Okay. So coming up September 24th, Thursday, I'm going to be in Rancho, Kukumanga, the 909 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Living Spaces. Living Spaces is giving me thousands of dollars worth of gift cards. Plus, I'm going to have other prizes on top of that, but thousands of
Starting point is 00:02:17 dollars worth of gift cards, September 24th, this Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. And this is really important to me because ex-employees have said that we don't have any listeners in Rancho Kukumanga. True story, which is weird because I feel that they call into the Woody Show all the time. And I believe I do events in Ontario, which is right next to Rancho Kooka Munga, and I've done events at Lazy Dog and Rancho Kukumanga. But you know what? Let's just get together and prove them wrong.
Starting point is 00:02:48 And here's the hat, guys. If you bring a bunch of people like a group or you bring your kids or whatever, guess what happens? You get more raffle tickets. So strike on through Living Spaces, September 24th, 5.000. to 7 p.m. All right, here's the deal. I just got back from the I Heart Radio
Starting point is 00:03:05 Music Festival in Las Vegas. It was so much fun. Please, please, please, please. Do me a favor. Go to my Instagram at Menace, M-E-N-A-Ce. Drop some comments and all the different videos
Starting point is 00:03:15 from the I-Hart Festival. A really funny moment with Ryan Seacrest. You can see the video on there as well. But before that, I really wanted to record a podcast for you
Starting point is 00:03:25 and it's a little hard to coordinate with everybody. We have boards. We have Randy. We have Eric, who's always super busy. Tyler, who has this new side gig that we'll get into. And then Julianne has been going on like, you know, a two-month bender with her birthday party shenanigans, which is so freaking funny.
Starting point is 00:03:42 But here's the deal. So in between working and doing all these other events, spicy nacho, my wife has tore her ACL. And we got to keep on bringing her to the doctor to get checkups. And then on top of that, and this is something that I've talked about on the Woody Show. I don't believe I've talked about it here on this podcast. But Chiro, my first. first French bulldog, the one that is brown and white. She's 12 years old. And for the past year and a half has been going through cancer treatments. And just last week, the doctor told us that they can no longer keep on giving her the same treatment.
Starting point is 00:04:16 It's kind of run as coarse. And she's been great. She's been fine. And I believe this treatment has, like, definitely prolonged her life. But she just recently took some new drugs and has been acting insanely weird. So we took her to the vet probably like three times last week. So didn't really have any time to record a podcast. And then, and then last week,
Starting point is 00:04:37 and thank you to everybody that has entered to try to have dinner with me every Wednesday at Lazy Dog Restaurant. I actually did it in Rancho Cucamonga last week. And then right after I went to San Joaquin Valley College and did a tour with a bunch of listeners, I got out super late for me at least at 7 p.m. in Ontario. It was an hour and 40 minutes to get home. So I'm about 45 minutes on my way to get home on Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:05:05 And I noticed a car like, I don't know, like a football field in front of me, had a tire blow out. And I'm just driving along and a piece of rubber just hit the bottom of spicy nachos car, which I was borrowing at the time. And no sensors went off. So I'm like, okay, cool. I'm good. You know, you'd run over things in the middle of the road all the time.
Starting point is 00:05:25 I still have an hour to get home. I'll check it when I get home. Well, I'm so freaking tired when I get home. I totally forget to check it to see what it looked like. Immediately go to bed, wake up, do the show, and then immediately fly out to Las Vegas for the IHeart Radio Music Festival. And to add another layer to the drama, as I'm leaving for the I Heart Radio Music Festival,
Starting point is 00:05:48 I get a no vacation that my weight-lost drugs, Zepbound, shout out to Zepbound, her Zepetite all day, every day, gang, gang, got delivered to the Coachella Valley. Okay? And these things come in like an ice box type thing. And it's like 106 degrees out there. Okay?
Starting point is 00:06:04 So I hit up my neighbor and I said, hey, can I ask a huge favor? Can you go get my weight loss drugs and put them in your refrigerator? And my neighbor's super cool. So she went ahead and did that. But Nacho said, okay, I'm going to drive out there. I'll go pick them up. I got to do a couple errands anyways. So she gets out to the Coachella Valley.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I just land in Las Vegas. and then I get a call from Nacho. And she says, what did you do to my car? And then I had to even freaking remember what even happened because I totally forgot about it. I said, oh yeah, there was a blowout and I ran over some rubber.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Dude, this car is so jacked. Like the whole side panel is hanging off. The light is barely hanging on. It's going to fall off and drag on the ground. Now, Nacho didn't notice it because she was taking both the dogs with her, and it's on the other side of the car. So just to answer that question. So I'm landing in Vegas,
Starting point is 00:07:04 and I'm trying to get to the festival to start work and calling the service department to try to make an appointment to try to get this thing fixed. And so now, tomorrow, Monday, I have to drive out to the Coachella Valley, bring Nacho to the service department because she's afraid that she might get taken advantage of and drop off the car,
Starting point is 00:07:25 and then drive back from the car, the Coachella Valley to Los Angeles. So I'm not going to have time to put out a podcast with everybody else on the show. So I really, really apologize, but I didn't want to leave you hanging in with nothing. Because Tuesday's at Dodgers event, Wednesday I had some projects going on, and I think you're going to like them once I can share them. And then Thursday, Living Spaces Rancho Cucamonga. And then it's already the weekend.
Starting point is 00:07:49 And I'm going to the Bay, actually. It's my dad's 70th birthday. and we're going to go to the 49ers Cardinals game at Levi Stadium. So for all you Bay Area people that are listening right now, and you happen to be there if you see me, that is me. I'm there. And then before you know it, it is the October birthday month. I've been putting a bucket list together.
Starting point is 00:08:09 I've been asking listeners like, what are your ideas? The last event I went to, not a lot of people had ideas. I have some pretty good ones, but I don't have a whole list yet. So hit me up on social media if you have some ideas because it could only benefit you. I told them, shoot for the moon, and maybe we can give away something crazy like a trip to Dubai like we did last year. But moving on. So when I was in Addison, Texas, and I met up with the listeners there, they kept on bringing up like, dude, we want you guys to have a football segment.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Okay. You got to have a football segment on the Woody show. So Jeff and Woody came up with this thing called the biggest loser of the season. So everybody on the show had to pick which team and which division were going to be the biggest losers this season. And then each week, two people will go head to head and pick the biggest losers of the weekend. So Sammy and I went against each other. And Sammy picked, and let me look, I'm looking at my app right now. I know she picked Denver as the biggest loser, but I forgot who they were playing.
Starting point is 00:09:09 So Denver against the Jaguars. Did I say that right? Jaguars? As I'm looking right now, they did not lose. They won by seven. Okay. And as I'm recording this, the game. just started with the Chiefs versus the Colts,
Starting point is 00:09:26 and I picked the Colts as the biggest loser. And as I'm speaking, it looks like the Colts are up by six over the Chiefs, so that's not good. And earlier, there was, like, massive blowouts. Let me see if I can get Tyler on the phone and talk about it. Hey, yo, what up? What up? Dude, I'm recording right now.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Say, what's up to the people. Hey, what up, people? Dude, so I'm going over, like, the picks of the biggest losers that we did, you know, me versus Sammy, and I'm kind of looking at the scoreboard. right now. Didn't Sammy, she picked the Broncos to be the biggest losers, right? I believe so, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Yeah, that didn't go over well for her. But the game just went live with the Chiefs versus the Colts, which I picked, and the Colts already up by 7 over the Chiefs, so it's not even looking good for me. But there was massive blowouts today, like the Bengals over the Texans. Oh, and then the Steelers got blown out, too, by the Patriots. Oh, dude, and the Seahawks crushed
Starting point is 00:10:21 the Cardinals, too. Well, dude, I mean, the Seahawks are really good. They're running Super Bowl champions for a reason. Damn, even the Cowboys, they crushed in the Dolphins. Like, I think Sammy and I picked the worst games. You know what? Like, you know, it's so early in the season. It's a little tough to get a read on things sometimes.
Starting point is 00:10:41 But, you know, now you have a better idea of who's going to be complete ass for the rest of the season. Oh, my God. So this is not good so far. Tyler, real quick. I'll pray for you. For the people that have not listened to the previous podcast, and I don't think we went over this, but you have a new gig where you're ripping cards on live,
Starting point is 00:11:02 doing live streams, and people can get to it by downloading the Fanatics Live app, right? And then they search Mama Breaks, and you're working with the Mama Breaks team, and then they find Tyler. But the question that I want to ask is, how often are you streaming nowadays? So the stream, it's two separate types of stream.
Starting point is 00:11:21 So the first one is going to be Monday and Tuesday. On Monday and Tuesday, I'm doing this type of stream called Instant Rips. It's basically like a virtual rip where you get a graded card and then you can have that graded card sent to you or if you don't like it, you can sell it back to the fanatics right there. That's the first one that goes on. That's on Monday and Tuesday. And then for now, on Friday and Saturday,
Starting point is 00:11:46 I'm ripping actual physical cards. It's been really fun, man. I've been having a blast doing it. been pulling some big cars, getting to know the people on the chat. Like, I'm having so much fun, man. Nice. So you're streaming four days a week, and they're pretty long streams, too, so people can get in those chat rooms.
Starting point is 00:12:02 That's awesome. Yeah. So the ones on Monday and Tuesday are for about five hours from 12 to 5 Pacific time, and then the ones on Friday and Saturday are for about 7.5, 8. 8.5 hours, that's going to be from about 12.45 to give or take about 8.30 Pacific time. All day, baby. All day. Well, I know that you have to work on some sport reports right now for the Woody Show,
Starting point is 00:12:25 but I just wanted to check in with you and go over this. One real quick thing with the streaming stuff. Yeah. Look, if you guys, I've mentioned this on the chat before, but those of you who may be listed, collect cards you want to get out on it, if you see my streams are set up, if you see the stores are already full, you want to make a little bit of a deal since I'm going to be the one breaking it. Hit me on up on Instagram, shoot me an offer, or I'll see what I can work with.
Starting point is 00:12:48 That Instagram is going to be at HeavyT underscore on air. All right. Well, HeavyT got the plug if you're into those trading cards. All right, man. Well, I'll see you in like five minutes, okay? I'll see you in the morning. All of it. So it's not going well so far for me.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Looking back on the app, which I love the Apple sports app. I don't know if you guys use it, but it is the easiest to keep up on all your favorite sports. And that's what I use. If you have an iPhone, it's just sports. Just type in sports if you don't have it on your phone already. and then you can customize it for everything that you're into, like F1, like myself, and MLB and NFL, and it like puts everything,
Starting point is 00:13:27 it puts everything together and it super simplifies it so you can keep track of everything. Somebody else I know that loves watching football is Julianne. Well, she loves going to the parties or everybody's watching football. And she followed the Patriots for a very long time. Let's see if we can give her a call. Hello? Hey, what up?
Starting point is 00:13:46 Oh, one ring. I love it. My phone was in my hand. I was watching media. Nice. I'm actually recording right now, Julian, because I'm not going to have time to record a podcast this week because it's pretty hectic. But we have not talked to you since you went on the country cruise. And I just want to say, did you get banned for life or can you go back?
Starting point is 00:14:09 Well, good news. I get to go back and I already signed up for next year. Nice. Hell yeah. I know. I'm so excited. The best time I've ever had. They want somebody that does all the social media videos like you do and make it look like a party.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Dude, you know what? Out of all their advertisements, I think me and my group of friends made it on at least one of them every single time they threw something out there. Nice. Hell yeah. You bring the party, Julian. We do. We totally do. At least I try.
Starting point is 00:14:42 I feel like you have been partying ever since your birthday. Now, is it just because of the birthday? or am I just like, oh, wait, that's just how you live? I think it's how I live. I don't know. I've been having things to do. Like this coming weekend on Saturday, I want to go to Old Stubbs in Laverne,
Starting point is 00:15:02 and they're going to have emo night. Oh, nice. This is really good band playing. Yeah, so I'm excited, and it's from 8 to 11. So I'm trying to get a big group of people together so we can all go and, you know, our cat eyeliner and wear our hair to the side or bangs over our eyes. Are you going in the pit or not?
Starting point is 00:15:17 in the pit this time. Because it didn't play out very well for you last time. I think, well, this time I'm going to go wearing tucks instead of my tunklers. So if there is a pit, I definitely, I think I want to just try it one more time. All right. And if it doesn't go well, then that's the end of my pit days. Yeah, a little more grip on your feet this time around. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:40 Yes. What else has been going on in your life? I mean, how do you keep up with everything? You got 900 kids that are all in baseball. ball and T-ball and softball. I know. Well, you don't even know. So yesterday, I actually drove out to your house to go hang out with spicy nacho. And we went out and then we came back and we watched the IHeart Radio Music Festival on TV.
Starting point is 00:16:04 I didn't go to bed until 3 o'clock in the morning. Damn. And then I know I woke up. My eyes being wide open at 6.50 a.m. And I was like, okay, you know what? Through this, I'm not going to go to Serenity's T-ball game. I'm too tired. And then I laid back down and I got anxiety and I just got up and I got ready.
Starting point is 00:16:20 And I left at 7.30 in the morning and I booked it through her game. I made it. I brought her to her game and I was there. I was supporting her. Damn. I know. And even spicy not so shocked. She's like, I cannot believe you made it to her game.
Starting point is 00:16:35 I said, I know. But I had to. I felt so bad. After the heat festival, you know how. So everyone at the festival that works at the festival, they usually like hang out at the park MGM. Everyone just calls it the circle bar. It's like the big bar that's a circle in the middle of Park MGM afterwards.
Starting point is 00:16:53 That's where all the workers hang out. And last night I was like, nah, going to bed. Sorry. I know you look wide awake this morning on social. Yeah. But I did go like the night before and I saw Timar. You know, Timar, dude, that guy works, man. When it comes to these events, when you hear about the I Heart Radio Music Festival or the
Starting point is 00:17:16 country music festival or Fiesta Latina or Jingle Ball and all these events around the country, guess who's working them? It's D.J. Timar. Yeah. I used to work promotions. And so I would work Jingle Ball, but the one in L.A. And then I would work at the I Heart Radio Music Festival. So he's like, he's focused.
Starting point is 00:17:37 He is so focused. He's like a whole different person when he's at the event. Yeah, he's like a professional, you know? Yeah, he is. Yeah. And it's like super important people coming up to him for answers and he, you know, he's delegating everything. It's crazy. You know, shout out to Timor.
Starting point is 00:17:52 I know. He doesn't get enough credit for everything that he does. It's awesome. He definitely does it. Yeah. We need to follow him around and make like a little documentary on his other life. Oh yeah. Dude, his day during these festivals, it's insane.
Starting point is 00:18:04 If anybody's tired, it to be that man. Yeah. And it's funny because, you know, a little behind the scenes, I think it was on Thursday or no, Friday. I was walking in front of the Timo Arena and Tim's there, you know, he's supervising everything. And then somebody comes up and they're like, oh, we need to take care of this issue. And he's like, well, I'm going to have to go get a crane now. I'm like, okay, where do you go to get a crane? Only Tim knows.
Starting point is 00:18:29 He knows. He does. I know. He does. Now you know if you ever need a crane while you're at home. Yeah. I'm calling Tim for a crane. So you had a blast at an eye heart?
Starting point is 00:18:40 Yeah, it was cool. I mean, hopefully it looked good on my social post. You know, I'm trying to... I love your elevator one. That was so sick. Oh, yeah, right? And you've held out with this before, which really cool is like, okay, so when we have our, you know, our winners, a couple of them get selected where we get to take them backstage.
Starting point is 00:18:58 And I love doing it because when we bring the listeners back there, inevitably we'll run into celebrities or bands and stuff. Yeah, and it's fun to see them just like get so excited about... I love that part. Yeah. Yes, I love it more than anything. Just like the, because I think we get so, you know, used to seeing all that stuff. It's not like, of course, it's so cool and amazing,
Starting point is 00:19:22 but it's not like how it was when we first started seeing it. So then you get to see it through somebody else's eyes who's not regular for them. Yeah. And just to look. It's like a little kid on Christmas, you know, like how excited they are. Yeah, we were back there. And when Benson Boone was on. So they got to watch it from behind the stage.
Starting point is 00:19:38 And then while we're walking around, Lainie Wilson walks in, and she says hi to everybody. Then we walked through the whole backstage and the smashing pumpkins are there. And then I forget, is it Danielle Fisher? I think that's her name. Topanga. She's there hanging out too.
Starting point is 00:19:56 Oh, yes, yes. Yeah. And so everybody was like geeking out. It was really fun. So, all right. Well, I got to go. I'm going to see if I can check in with a couple more people. But thank you for hanging out with me right now.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Of course. Thank you for calling me. And I promise we'll get. back to the regular scheduled program next week. No worries. I trust you. All right. All right.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Bye. Let's see if we can get a hold of Randy. Yeah. Randell. At one ring, dude. Hell yeah. I'm recording right now because I can't record a podcast this week. I explained it earlier on this recording, but I just wanted to check in with you.
Starting point is 00:20:39 It is Sunday nights. You are probably watching some football. Let me see on the sports. Let's see if you're on the sports app right now. Let's see, did your team play today. My team did play today. Oh, yeah, they did. And they won.
Starting point is 00:20:53 Packers played. Yep. And they won. It was a brutal one. I thought they were going to lose until the fourth quarter when they came back and then they won an overtime. It looks pretty close. I'm not going to lie.
Starting point is 00:21:02 It was a little bit of rough Sunday. But all on all, happy they got a dub. And it's been a pretty chill day of watching football. Nice. Yeah, we've been doing this thing. I don't know if you've been able to keep up with it, but we're doing this thing where we have. we have to pick the biggest loser of the weekend.
Starting point is 00:21:18 And I picked Chiefs over Colts where the Colts are just going to get smashed on. And then I believe that Sammy she picked Denver was going to get smashed on by the Jaguar's wires. So that didn't happen. And the game right now for the Chiefs versus the Colts is happening. But what sucks is there were some crazy blowouts today already. So I don't know if I'm. I'm going to even win the weekend on that. Yeah, it was a really unpredictable weekend.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Like a lot of people were talking about how the morning games were a little bit disappointing. I mean, a lot of the big name players didn't really do a whole lot. So fantasy-wise, the numbers weren't really great. And then a lot of the games just, like I said, they were just a little bit disappointing, just slower games. Afternoon window was a little better. This Sunday night game is, it's going. That's all right, you know, I suppose.
Starting point is 00:22:12 I mean, that's how it is, though. Right. Week one was awesome and week two is going to level everything out. You know, it's hard to top how good the first week was. But all on all, I'm just happy that football's back. And I think everyone's happy that football's back. Yeah. Now, do you enjoy it more so if people, I don't know, we're living on a rock or they're just new to this podcast. When you left the Woody Show, you went and worked for the NFL for a number of years.
Starting point is 00:22:34 Do you enjoy watching games again now that you don't work at the NFL anymore or it's just the same? Like when you were at the NFL, it was work? Like, does that even make sense? Yeah, no, I definitely enjoyed more. I think it took a little while because even after when I left the NFL, my next job, which is for Amp Sports or Sinclair, it was still sports related. So you just get fatigued, right?
Starting point is 00:23:00 It's just like sports all the time, sports, sports, sports, sports. But so now it's nice because I can just kind of watch stuff with no strength attached. Like I don't have to worry about editing something. I don't have to worry about, you know, stats and stuff. Stats and stuff. It's just, it's a casual fun watch. And that's the other part, too. Like, sports is in and of itself, it's very intense in that, in that, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:26 a lot of people depend on the content that you're putting out for one way or another. Like, right, if you say something wrong, someone gets offended. They gave advice on a fantasy take and it's wrong. People get upset. So it's just everything about sports can be, little bit high strong and at times can be a little bit stressful and you feel that when you're editing stuff you know people start commenting where's the where's the podcast where's this where's that you know so but so now it's nice because now I can just watch football and just be like you
Starting point is 00:23:54 know what I don't care who wins I just want to have a good time and watch some games yeah so but eric still in it eric uh god bless him god bless his little his little heart yeah I'm not even told for it he's he's up to it yeah I'm not even going to try to call him right now I know he's busy yeah yeah I mean there's some people People who are just made for sports, though, like Tyler and Eric, they breathe and they, and I feel like they generally enjoy working in that media sector. I love sports. I enjoy it, but I don't mind not being attached to media or like having it be my work. If that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Yeah. Now, what is your world now? Like, what is Randy's like focus on, I don't know, entertainment wise? You always have had a passion for things. And what is your passion currently, do you think? My passion right now, well, professionally, I'm really lucky because I'm fine working in games, which is what I wanted to do for like the longest time. Yeah, even at the Woody Show, even at the Woody Show, you were like trying to make gaming happen,
Starting point is 00:24:58 you know? And it sucks because like sometimes you're just so early on stuff. Like people think you're just a crazy person, you know? that happened to be with the F1 stuff, you know? And then like, and then they started announcing all these different partnerships. And then they're like, oh, yeah. Oh, I guess it is a big deal. But like you were on the forefront with video games, like trying to like get streaming,
Starting point is 00:25:22 live streaming happening and different podcasting happening and just like try to build these partnerships. And then finally you just went off and went to a company that does all that stuff. So you're much happier like being in the world that you're passionate. about, right? Yeah, absolutely. And it's really cool because it's just, it's a, it's a, it's a mind up, man. You know, you never, when you're working in something that you, I don't want to say you
Starting point is 00:25:44 don't necessarily have your heart in, but it's just something that you enjoy it, but you still kind of want to do more. It's crazy because in that moment, you're just like, I'm never going to get there. I'm never going to do it. And then to find a couple years later that you're finally doing something that you like to do, it's really, it's really awesome. Like, I remember, I remember times where I was just kind of like, damn, man, I'm never going to get out of here.
Starting point is 00:26:04 But metaphorically speaking, of course, like, I'm never going to get a full-time job. I'm never going to be able to do this working around something that I really, really have passion for. And now that you're finally doing it, you look back and you're like, oh, my gosh, man, like, I should have enjoyed the days a little bit more. You know what I mean? Because you're always just so, like, not mostly stressed out, but like you're strung out because you're just kind of like desperate to find something to find the next thing. But then once you finally get there, you're just like, oh, man, you know, like those were a really good time. and I guess I wish I would have stavered them a little more, but I also know that they're fundamental to kind of get me to where I am.
Starting point is 00:26:41 Yeah, absolutely. I'm grateful for it. You know, I'm really, I'm really, I look back on everything fondly. I don't, I, everything serves a purpose. And I tell everyone that too, I'm like, look, man, everything you do, regardless of whether your heart's in it or not, it's going to be fundamental and it's going to build you to who you are or who you're going to be. So to be where I'm at now, to do what I'm doing now is super cool and super awesome.
Starting point is 00:27:04 I'm immensely grateful for everything and everyone. I didn't expect an inspirational speech from Randy today. As I was going, I was like, man, I got to keep, I mean, I've already on my high, on my high horse too. I might as well finish this and land the plane here. Hell yeah. Yeah, man. But since we're talking about my job, it would be a great time because I actually wanted to bring this up on the podcast. Unfortunately, we were able to record.
Starting point is 00:27:27 So my company, we just put out a short film on behalf of Bandai Namco, our production company, and then a couple other companies. You know how movies and stuff work. It's a bunch of people. It's for the new upcoming Ace Combat Eight Game, Wings of Thieve. It's called Hour Zero, and it stars as Josh Holloway, Brandon Ruth, and Tamlin Tomito. So it's like just super cool to see that and like just make these small wins that are so monumental and their journey and everything.
Starting point is 00:27:58 So, yeah, not to get too preachy. I'm sorry if I'm sounding too preach now. I love it. It's just, yeah, man, it's really, it's really cool. But, you know, aside from that, if I had to say where else my passions have been, I've been on a really big kick on, I mean, me and Tyler have been hard done on like a card collecting thing.
Starting point is 00:28:15 Really what it was was like, I was just doing, I was just like really enjoying the whole Pokemon thing. But Pokemon just got, it got to a point where it was just so hard to get anything. And so, like, from Pokemon, I made, like, the tangented move to sports cards. It's like baseball, you know, football. Because initially, that's where I, I told what I collected when I was, like, little.
Starting point is 00:28:39 It was, it was baseball cards. But then I stopped because, you know, you don't make any money when you're a kid. But now that I'm adult, unfortunately, for my wallet, it's just kind of like, oh, yeah, a card. But I have a lot of fun with that, too. I know. You guys got me caught up in it, too. I'm like, oh, I'm going to get some F1 cards.
Starting point is 00:28:54 It's fine, man. It's fun. Yeah. And then also, you know, with Tyler's live streams, I'm like, I want to be supportive. And so like, okay, I'll get in on this pack. Yeah. I mean, that's awesome. I am going to have to let you go, though, because I want to check in with a couple more people.
Starting point is 00:29:12 But we'll get back to regular scheduled program next week, okay? Sounds good, man. I'll talk to you soon. All right, brother. I'll talk to you there. Bye. Let's see if we can get hold of Brett. What?
Starting point is 00:29:27 What? we got you on the phone what is up we are recording right now brett you and i know together yes oh no you know how busy the week is this week and i'm not going to be able to record and i already explained that on the podcast and so i just been checking in with everybody and i have been able to get a hold of everyone i didn't try eric dale because i know he's busy as sunday in nfl it's crazy right but yeah and he had a uh wedding he was at yesterday Oh yeah, I saw all the photos. Dude, he's been wedding crazy.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Yeah, and this was the last one he had to do, but this was the kid's free wedding. Oh, don't. Got to adult it up for the entire night last I heard. Nice. I want to ask you, have you seen? Damn, I should have asked Randy. Damn it.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Because, you know, he loves talking about the popcorn buckets. But you know what? I'll save it for you. Did you see the Street Fighter one yet? I don't even think it's real. But it was posted by AMC theaters, but the Street Fighter, it's crazy. A thousand percent real. It's Giles' hair from Street Fighter.
Starting point is 00:30:38 If everyone knows Street Fighter, it's one of the main characters, the guy with the big blonde hair, played by Cody Rhodes in the movie. The promotional photos have Cody Rhodes wearing it in a movie theater and asking you somebody to get popcorn out of his hair. Yes. It's wild. Insane. Now, I love it, and I can't wait for this movie.
Starting point is 00:30:58 tickets go on sale tomorrow or, well, whenever you're listening to this, Monday, September 21st, and or I think maybe the popcorn bucket does. I should have read it a little bit more. But the actual movie comes out, October 16th. And I love it. But let's say if people actually wear it, it's going to block the view of the movie. Oh, 100%. Yeah, it'll be incredibly obnoxious.
Starting point is 00:31:24 But you know, everybody's going to wear it at first. Right. When they get in with it, and then they'll take it off and they'll put it in their lap. So I don't think it'll be a huge problem, but it's still, they're still going to be that person. It's like, oh, come on, bro, get some out of my hair, like throughout the entire movie. It's going to happen. Yeah, if you want to see what we're talking about, either go to foodbeast.com, who are awesome, or check out AMC theaters on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:31:49 You can see this popcorn bucket for Street Fighter. It's absolutely insane. It's nuts. So, you weren't in Las Vegas. You were back home in Los Angeles, Orange County. Did you have anything going on or are you just chilling? You love hitting up your local spots. Did you hit up any spots?
Starting point is 00:32:09 You know, funny. You should mention that right now. I'm going to cap off the weekend. I just walked down to the beach. Everyone knows I live in Huntington Beach. So I tried a different route to end up at a different point of the beach, which was super fast. And no tourists and lots of animals, lots of people just chilling, and a good breeze is coming in now.
Starting point is 00:32:30 It's been insanely hot here. Like, everyone thinks it's cool by the beach. Well, not if there's no wind and it gets up to 90 degrees. It is boiling hot. We don't have 80s over here. Yeah. So it was nice to just take a nice, cool, brisk walk to the beach this past weekend, you know, today. And then, you know what?
Starting point is 00:32:49 I have been hitting up all my Japanese stores. I've been going to Missua, Tokyo Central. I was in Irvine yesterday for all those. Nice. And I spent last night watching Project Hail Mary. What did you think about it? I loved it. I thought it was an awesome movie.
Starting point is 00:33:04 It's a very slow, comedic, sometimes intense sci-fi movie. But if you watch the Twilight Zone, it's like the Twilight Zone. It's an episode out of that. It's not some strangest episodes out of the Twilight Zone, but it's a fun movie. I really liked it. All right. All right. Well, I'll eventually check it out.
Starting point is 00:33:22 I don't know. I think it had a really bad trailer, to be honest. So I wasn't ripping out for it, but there was so many people that were ripping out for it. And then they saw it and they had nothing but good things to say about it, just like you. So what caught me was the, I was seeing a lot of reels on social media about it, right? Because it was already on my radar to watch it at some point. But I started seeing all the clips. And when you see the trailer, you're right.
Starting point is 00:33:48 The trailer did not really do it justice what the story is actually about. But then when you, I don't want to spoil it anything, but I will say, say this, the trailer shows a lot of stuff on Earth, right? Mm-hmm. The movie starts in space. Oh, interesting. And then you go back to points of him being on Earth as the movie's progressing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:11 So you're learning more about why he's there, along with progressing the plot of being in space. So it moves very smoothly. All right, all right. And if anyone knows anything about Rocky, it is adorable. It is so cool. All right. Loved it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Well, I will check it out if I have a moment to watch anything, you know? I doubt that. Not this week. Yeah, true. Too crazy. But I'll find some time and I'll check it out. I haven't been able to stream anything, man. It sucks.
Starting point is 00:34:43 Oh, man. You need to, like, just find those, like, like, any kind of sitcom that you could just binge for like 20 minutes on your phone. Yeah, true. Let it go. Well, they said that's the new wave is these little microseries on social media that people are going to have. So we'll see.
Starting point is 00:34:58 We got to make our own micro series of you and I like going to these Japanese shops. I mean, basically like what I just did with Tyler when we went to the card shop. That was like a little mini episode. If people didn't see that, we went to the Burbank shop. You can see it on my Instagram at Menace. You'll see like a little pack for F1 cards. But like that's what people are doing like little mini TV shows, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:23 That's perfect. You know, we need to go on a hunt for you. We need to find you all the Japanese snacks. Go for it. Yeah, we'll do it. And I apologize for all the noise in the back. If anyone's hearing this, I'm literally walking from feet back home. Noise.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Hearing noise. That's why. Hell yeah. Well, we got to get to work in like five minutes, so I don't want to keep it on the phone too long. I just want to check in with you. But thank you for picking up the phone. I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Yeah, of course, man. You know if you call, I'm going to pick up. All right. Well, I'll haul at you later. All right. All right, brother. Peace. All right, everybody. Thank you for checking out this podcast.
