What's new, what's new with Menace? What's up everybody and welcome to another edition of What's New Pod. I am Menace, I'm joined by Bort, a.k.a. Brett. He's an audio expert and syndication expert with the Woody Show, Borty Show, that you can hear across the United States and around the world on AFN. We are joined by our friends Eric and Randy, who are coming to us live from Downey, California. And over yonder is our boy Heavy T aka Tyler who's coming to us from Whittier, California. And we have our friend Julianne finally joining us here on the pod. Now my apologies, this recording of this podcast got completely messed up.

There's some audio interference and I'm going to try to salvage it as much as possible. So I might interject here and there to keep the pod moving. Before we do that, do some business. I'm going to be at Raising Cane's, a grand opening of the second location in Whittier. It's going to be on Telegraph from 3 to 5 p.m. January 30th. It's a Tuesday. You have plenty of time to prepare. Tuesday, January 30th, the new Whittier location on Telegraph from 3 to 5 p.m. I'm going to have a bunch of theme party giveaways, concert giveaways, and Woody Show merch. So roll on through. Now for this episode, I started off talking about how Tyler is in love with Julianne,

which we talked about on the last episode if you didn't catch it. Yeah, he has the hots for you. Well, he did text me earlier and asked me if I wanted to do the podcast in his bed and I had to turn him down. I didn't know there was enough room for two people on a bunk bed. I'm kidding.

And his brothers were in the bed too, so. Actually, I take that back. I lived in a fraternity house where I slept on the bottom of a bunk bed and there's plenty of room for multiple people, both on top and bottom. So we talked about that a little bit. Of course, Tyler just shut down and didn't even say anything. So don't worry.

You didn't miss anything on that. We did cover the big news, though. Otani leaving the Angels to go to the Dodgers, which, you know, Tyler is a major Angels fan. And we all tried to convince Tyler, like, dude, now is the time to jump ship. The Angels don't care about you. They don't care about winning. You have given them enough chances,

and it's now time to join your friends and become a Dodgers fan. So we talked about him selecting some jerseys. Fernando Valenzuela, but I don't want to get that one because Randy already has that one. And then Eric Gagne. I would love an actual eric gagne jersey so no no i will i will but i'm just i don't know like i can't i can't i can't leave the angels right now like i have to i have to stand firm i have to get arty moreno kicked out of the out of the ownership spot which i mean i mean the only way that's going

to happen is if he sells it or if someone's got some dirty laundry on him like i need to stand i need to march i need to shout sell the team at the stadium i'm basically you know what i am dude i'm an equivalent uh not as bad because they're in a much worse situation but i'm basically the southern california equivalent of an oakland ace fan that's what we are right now as all Angel fans welcome join the A's dude check this out even let's say this owner gets bounced out right for the Angels yes how long does it even take to even rebuild a team before you even have a winning team it's gonna be forever dude it kind of like in your 50s bro it kind of depends so because once in a while and this could happen too because of where the angels market is but you could have the next owner come in and then just go hog wild with their money and start not gonna happen oh shut the hell

up i'm saying it could happen i'm saying it could happen i didn't say it would happen i'm saying it could happen randy you have a breakdown on how much Otani is going to get paid. The amount of money he's getting on his contract is more than the Oakland A's spent in the last six years on their entire team. That's the numbers are bananas. It's incredible. Eric, I want to ask you because you are definitely like the biggest dodgers fan here on this podcast are you liking or not liking because i'm not liking it and i'm not even a dodgers fan that people are instantly making social media videos saying well when the parking's thirty dollars and this hot dog is twelve dollars you can thank ohtani like dude what's up with that like why would they make they have to

complain about something everybody has to complain and they something. They want the social media clout. It's popular to complain about this right now. Those are the people that aren't going anyways. There's cheap tickets. There's a way to get in. Those are the people that aren't going to games. They're not watching every game like the diehards. Not even the diehards.

You can turn on a game every day of the year during the season. It's not that hard to watch a game and enjoy a game from your house. You're going to complain. They're not going to go anyways. I go to games. People that want to go, go. If you want from your house you're gonna complain they're not gonna go anyways i go to games yeah i want to go go want five dollar hot dogs move to kansas city when i come to angel stadium our top dog's about to be true they're gonna hand out they're gonna be giving away hot dogs at angel stadium people there yeah so we wrapped up the dodgers conversation and then we started talking about the kansas city chiefs versus the bills and how patrick

mahomes was kind of having a meltdown over an offsides call, which led to the Chiefs losing the game against the Bills, which in retrospect, if you look at the video, that dude was mega offsides. There's no question about it. It was a tough look for him. He walked it back. You know, he's probably gonna get fined. Any reader probably get fined by the league for leaning in like they ripped into it.

It's like this is bush league i saw this one dude he posted a thread and he's like here's every call that has been tic-tac or controversial or like that that has gone in the chief's favor in the last five years to help him win a game there's like 40 calls on there and they're all like there's videos of all of them it's just insane right it's it's been an awful week for the chiefs and honestly i love every single minute of it dude don't be offsides yeah don't be offsides dude yeah play the game it's supposed to be played dude don't be dumb randy it looks like your boy aaron rogers is gonna be returning is that happening or not i mean i only want what's best best for Aaron Rodgers because of all the great memories that he gave the Packers.

I don't think it's the smartest idea to play because if he gets hurt, then he has to sit out for another God knows how long, and then it's going to be such a mess, and the Jets are already a lost cause. Why bother? I will say one thing, though, that I found really interesting. A reporter out of Indianapolis was the only guy who said this. He reported that he believes that Aaron Rodgers is lying to everyone, that he didn't only tear his Achilles,

because there's no way inhumanly possible he's coming back this soon. Which, I mean, if he comes back, then there's reason to believe he had groundbreaking surgery, but I just don't see the benefit in him coming back, though, because the Jets are a sorry team, and if he gets hurt, they's all they're done for. So Randy ended up talking about how much he loves Aaron Rodgers. And then you might have seen this on your TikTok, on your Instagram.

If you follow Barstool Sports, apparently they're having a Survivor show that's happening with all their employees. And I asked Eric and Tyler about it because they're super into it i don't even know where you watch this thing um so originally it was released on youtube three days a week over like a three-week span but they had a beef with youtube where because like i mean it's barstool employees so they're a little off the cusp with some of their tactics and what they were saying um kirk manahan who hosts the barstool pod threatened to bomb the house of the host jeff dilo and youtube's like youtube was like no no no you can't do that stuff so they came up and like yo we got you got to edit these things dave portnoy being dave portnoy he's like not f you youtube so they had to pull the the youtube episodes so now you got to pay it's behind a

paywall on barstool.tv yeah it's fun it's a it's survivor with barstool employees but it's good it's entertaining especially if you're into the barstool world and you you're invested in the people who make the content there it's it's a pretty good watch noise is tyler's girlfriend on there grace no she's not stop why are we pushing this agenda like why dude i want you to be part of the barstool family. I think you and her. Trust me. Honestly, I think I could get a job there if I really, really wanted to. Oh, yeah? No, no.

But in all seriousness, I don't really want to move to Chicago right now. But you moved to Texas? Texas? Somehow this turned into Tyler pumping his own tires. Yeah. Why is this? I don't want this. Anyways. I don't mean to chew my own horn, but...

Long story short, if I wanted to get into the Barstow family, I think I could on my own terms. I think I could. You never cease to amaze me, Tyler. I'm so pretty I could probably get into Playboy, no problem. But, you know, I just don't want to, you know, he is dead. Yeah, I don't feel like it.

Now I want to make this a challenge. Now I might just straight up apply after we're done. There's so many flaws in this idea you have, mainly because, one, it'd be an upgrade from what you're doing right now. And being a janitor doesn't count. I wouldn't take this job that's way better than the one I have now living in my mom's second bedroom because I don't want to move to Chicago, but I just don't really want to put an application out.

Like, what, dude? Be quiet. Okay, hold on. Because now this has to be discussed. Like, what, dude? Be quiet. Okay, okay. Hold on. Hold on. Okay. Because now this has to be discussed. That's when we lost the audio feed. But I'll say this. I told Tyler that I did believe in him. I believe that he could get a job at Barstool Sports.

Then I talked about the new Squid Game show that's on Netflix where it's a real-life Squid Game. Somebody won $4.5 million. And don't believe the clickbait headlines. The person does get the money. They just agreed not to receive it until the very last episode aired. So now that's all taken care of. There is a new Squid Game experience that's happening in Los Angeles. It's on Fairfax. I'm going to be hitting that up soon and giving away tickets for it.

yeah glenn powell looks like oh that guy yeah you He was in Top Gun Yeah, it's like if you took Chris Pratt and smashed his face sideways Yeah Are you all in or all out? Nah, I'd wait for it to come out What's the rating on this one? Oh, the hotness Glenn Powell, hotness Yeah, he's hot

Is it his body or his face? Everything, yeah. All right, focus on the face, though. Oh, sorry, sorry. I forgot he had a face. Yeah, no, his body looks younger than his face. That sounds weird, but yeah. But there's a Sidney Sweeney scene in it.

She has a really nice body, too, but I don't think there's anything special about her face. Like, she's a pretty girl, but she's not drop dead gorgeous. Yeah, her honkers look about normal size. So perky because usually smaller sets are high because they're small. But if you have big boobs and they're perky,

you're freaking lucky. Jules, what I think you should do is I think you need to put this on your Instagram story and put like a poll so people can decide like what does perky mean exactly? how wrong you are because you kept on saying perky you didn't even say that oh they're large I didn't know I needed to follow up with large so I didn't know that you guys associated perky was small Society does no if you anyways all right let's move on I think Julian needs tech support when it comes to boob

descriptions right now. The way I've always understood it is that perky is small, but if you have jugs, they're massive. That's what it is. That's not important for this podcast. All right. Moving on, finally, December

22nd. We're still talking about movies. Aquaman, The Last Kingdom, all in or all out. Do you still love Jason Momoa? I do. Yes. Yes. Who doesn't? And then we make comparisons on how the movie looked between the Gucci movie, which he was in, versus this Ferrari movie and how he got mad at the press because the press overseas said that some of the Ferrari movie, the crash scenes were kind of cheesy, which I do agree because I looked at the footage. But I'll tell you this. I'm really excited for that movie that's also coming out. Ferrari. Check it out in theaters. All right. Then we switch up the topic to what is your one Christmas movie?

If you only could pick one, what movie would you pick? Yeah, Home Alone, definitely. Home Alone. I've watched it twice, I think, already this year. What? Already? Yeah, I watched it on TV once. It was randomly on, and then I tossed it back on when we were decorating our Christmas tree.

I'm sure we discussed this before, but Eric, do you like Home Alone 3, the first one with ScarJo? First one or nothing. Home Alone 3? I haven't watched it. A young ScarJo. How can you say no to that? I won't taint the Home Alone taste in my mouth.

Yeah. The first and the second one, that's it. I guess I'll just say the you guys remember the the old christmas specials the rankin bass ones like rudolph and stuff i'd probably just go with oh yeah you can't go wrong with it i'm going with a christmas story like that is my number one really i mean my number two i know we're not sharing number twos but home alone but number one Christmas story. You opened the door, so now it's definitely Home Alone.

A Christmas story. How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I think that was at four. Can we all agree that after years and years now, as we're adults, looking back at the movie, what's the one with Zuzu's Pet um oh uh it's a wonderful life yes how what a snooze fest like actually you know what i actually enjoy that movie i think it's good i used to you like that i watched it again

yeah but i watched it as a grown-up and i was like god when's this thing gonna be over well the story behind it is that that movie just became cheap to run on television and then so they ran it a bazillion times and then people just got into it oh that's the story you know what i didn't know that you know what i think is funny i don't know if you guys have noticed this trend in the past two years. You notice that they're coming out with violent Christmas movies now? Because I think we got... What was the one with David Harbour last year?

Wasn't it like Violent Night? And then this one, I think you have... I think it's Silent Night where this dude's kid gets murdered in a drive-by shooting. And he loses his vocal cords. I don't know. It looks pretty dope. And then you have this other one. Yeah, it sounds real cool, Tyler.

I like those action movies. And then you have this other one with Justin Long that supposedly is a mix of serial killer with It's a Wonderful Life. I don't know, dude. It's kind of weird. Alright. What is wrong with you? Thanks for the uplifting. Next.

Alright, next. Real quick uh all right next food news have you ever eaten at a longhorn steakhouse is it good fire or not i think i ate there once way back on like when i was on the road for a hockey tournament i mean it was all right it's i mean it's a tech it's a steakhouse can't really go wrong i don't think i've ever heard of it yeah so so just to double check we're talking texas longhorn not texas roadhouse no uh longhorn steakhouse okay i've heard of it but i've never been so they just opened up a new one in the coachella valley and i might check it out but i i mentioned that i did have texas this recently, and I'm still talking about it. Dude, they are crushing.

There's people lined up to go to this thing. Really? Yeah, but this Longhorn Steakhouse, I've always heard the name, but I've never gone. I was just wondering if anybody had it before. I say he or she because they didn't put their name or where they're writing from. So make sure you do that when you send an email. All right. The next topic is tech news.

But tech news, I didn't know this was happening, but I just randy post his and i gotta hear what tyler's and eric's is there is a year and wrap for xbox so if you don't know there's a year and wrap for spotify and it tells you how much you've listened to and what you listen to most but apparently this xbox one tells you how many hours you've played online. And I have not seen Tyler's. Randy posted that he played 521 hours. So if you do the math on that, that is actually 21 days worth of playing video games. Now, Tyler. 1,556 hours.

Oh, my lord. 64 days divided by 7 equals 9 weeks. Something wild. Randy's total time was what? 521. 521, right?

In one game, being Call of Duty, because I play that a lot with my friends, that one game alone, I spent 517. Oh, my God. Also, the nine weeks that you have totals to two months. So two months out of the year straight, you're just playing video games. Get a girlfriend. I don't think it's him getting the girlfriend that's the problem. I think it's the girl wanting to be his girlfriend that's the problem.

Get a hobby. There you go, there you go. Unfortunately, that is all I have. We recorded for about an hour and a half more, and I only got 20 minutes. So that's what I could salvage, and I promise you next episode will be a full episode. The whole gang will be here, and we'll have a bunch of fun.
