What's new? What's new with Menace?
What's up, everybody, and welcome to another edition of What's New Pod.
I am Menace. I'm joined by, uh, not Bort right now.
Currently, he'll be signing on a little bit later.
Maybe, hopefully.
I am joined by Eric, a.k.a. E Soundwave.
I haven't said that in a while, but, you know,
we got to shout out your Instagram account,
E Soundwave on Instagram.
Eric works for the NFL Podcasting Network, and he's coming to us live from Downey, California, just over yonder. And Whittier,
California would be Tyler, aka Heavy T. Now, Heavy T does have some announcements later on
in the podcast. We'll be talking about that. That's going to be super fun to talk about.
But no, Randy, I forgot what his excuse was, why he couldn't do the podcast. I know you just said you just saw him leave his house right now,
but he said something about going to Mexico.
Now, I don't know if that was today or...
He's going to Vegas right now.
Oh, Vegas.
I think it said it's a buddy's bachelor party.
Yeah, it's his buddy's bachelor.
And then he's going to Mexico next week.
So he's a little world traveler.
Not know about the Mexico thing.
Yeah.
He didn't bring that up during pillow talk? I know didn't bring up the vegas thing did he or slightly i think i
remembered he did he's been talking to me about it at work i don't know if he's mentioned it to
you guys though oh okay well it's long time no see for all of us because we got to hang out for
a movie screening for mission impossible dead reckoningoning Part 1 in Downey, California.
Do you like how I set that up for you
guys? But I do apologize.
I did not know they weren't going to turn on the
AC for the movie.
It was a little toasty. I was tripping, right?
I didn't know if it was the Tom Cruise
adrenaline rush I was having or
if it was just because, yeah, it was
85 degrees in the movie theater. I know. I was like, was I running around too much rush I was having or if it was just because yeah it was uh you know 85 degrees
in the movie theater I know I was like was I running around too much because I was trying to
get a a lot of things knocked out before the screening and I was like maybe I just like I got
my body heat too high or something like that and I couldn't cool down but then I realized oh wait
it's the theater and most likely they didn't turn on the ac because this was a special
screening a sneak peek of the movie because it doesn't come out until july 12th what do you guys
think i thought the movie actually was great i thought you know as someone who's seen all the
mission impossibles especially with my dad showing up to me when i was a kid all of them have gotten
progressively better as opposed to
the last one. This one was really good. And I really liked the whole who they set up to be the
villain type of thing. Cause if you saw the last one, the villain was, I believe it was Henry
Cavill on the last one. And the last one's really, really good. This one definitely takes it up a
notch and just the action scenes in this movie are just really really well done
also tom cruise might be insane for doing that motorcycle stunt that we've all seen but um
yeah well eric you said on the last podcast he did that motorcycle stunt which you see in the
trailer so we're not giving anything away you said that he did it 12 times yeah i saw like a
behind the scenes clip i forget if it was on instagram or something but yeah he did it like like a handful of times over the course of a day r.i.p to those uh dirt bikes i know done but uh
dude it's crazy because yeah he's just flying through the air for like six seconds and you
know they totally set it up perfectly too because it the theater goes quiet so everybody's just
sitting there it's stuck in this like moment of tom cruise flying through the air like a plane it was it was nuts
dude i mean yeah it was so much fun also tyler's whole family there and your whole family there
can you believe it family it was a family extravaganza tyler's platoon of family members
were taking up an entire section of the theater but yeah and i was dope dude my family loves
coming out to things when they can so yeah I got to meet four of
Tyler's brothers now we have not got the whole group together at one time I think that's impossible
when's the last time that's happened you know what even for us just to do something as a family
it there's usually one person missing just because all our work schedules are insane and someone's
always doing something so but yeah you met about I met about, I think 75% of my family.
My younger brother was missing and my mom, she's not the biggest fan of like the Mission
Impossible movie.
So she's like, you guys go have like a guy's night or whatever.
And so like, okay, cool.
So, but no, my dad loved it.
My brothers all loved it.
It was a great time, man.
Just crank up the AC a little bit next time.
Yeah.
Next time I'll make sure
oh good call because you know tyler after we record the podcast he goes uh is there gonna be
vip seating for me i mean no no i'm just kidding but no you did think ahead of time because you
yeah you had a large group of people you want them to all sit together so we blocked yeah so
it was a learning curve this was one of my first movie screens that
i've done in quite a long time and i totally forgot like the logistics of everything life
must have been a nightmare back in the day before because i'd say like 90 of movie theaters nowadays
are reserved seating before you know you buy your ticket you pick your seat kind of thing
i remember back in the day it's like my family we have what five people you would still have to show
up two hours an hour and a half before these big movies the harry potters the transformers you know the pirates
of the caribbeans of the world like when i was growing up and when tyler was growing up and we
had five people yeah i can only imagine tyler's like you know his whole army of families like
we got to get there it's three hours before because we got to have an entire row of people
i know it was so stressful back then yeah it was um
it was kind of wild i'm trying to think uh i'm sure uh we saw like pirates of the caribbean or
something like that like as a whole family but i know um it was stressful for a minute trying to
save a whole row of just eight straight seats so my family actually yeah eight seats dude so you'd
have like two kids sprawled out across an entire
section just laying on like four seats at a time so we could save them all but um then you got to
go buy a freaking barracks worth of popcorn and snacks rations yeah exactly so what we did what
we ended up doing as we got older which was smarter and we probably should have just done it in the first place we would put um four in one row and then four immediately in the row behind
because we're still all technically together and it's not like you're talking or you're not supposed
to be talking during the movie anyway so we're all just watching the screen as long as we're in the
same general area like it's cool so i actually ended up really liking the four the four and then
the four behind it was just an easier setup yeah it was cool i'm glad you guys enjoyed that because i do have more movie screens coming up
this time with synopolis and they have a new location opening up in inglewood i can tell you
that it is right next to your work eric yeah yeah it's actually i mean it's i pass it every day
going to work it's it's part of that new mega fine living, fine dining experience area,
Hollywood Park Casino area.
It's a huge complex.
I mean, it's probably within 500 feet from SoFi Stadium.
I see it every day.
It looks massive.
Yeah, and you said fine dining because that's what Sinopolis is all about.
Do you see their menu that they have?
It is a full-on restaurant in the movie theater.
I will have more details on my Instagram, at men m-e-n-a-c-e
very soon i will be having a screening probably in a couple weeks so just look out for that on
my instagram story to see if you can make it or not but we're gonna try to get tyler's whole
family and eric's whole family at one place at one time we We'll see if that can happen. Oh, going back to Downey real quick,
you know, before the screening, like I said, I was doing a bunch of errands in Firestone Boulevard
in Downey. If anyone knows, it's popping, dude. It has everything you can ever think of on one
street. Yeah, man. Growing up, it was not like that. It was like, you know, some empty lots.
They had like a couple of warehouses, like a home improvement stores, you know, a couple of hole in the wall Mexican food. But they've dumped a ton of money into Firestone Boulevard over the last like 15 to 20 years. New Chick-fil-A right there, Raising Cane's. You got In-N-Out. There's actually two Chick-fil-A's on Firestone within a mile of each other jeez um and you know there's a dope hot dog spot called dirt dog down
the street a little bit um the theater we were just at cinemark is just what maybe half a mile
away off of firestone yeah around the corner there's a decent little like hub of things to
do here in downey it's it's got a little facelift here in the last like decade or so yeah so i had
to charge the car so i parked at the mall and it you said it's stone stonewood town stonewood town center
now you know me as a mall connoisseur now this is a mall that you would think okay it's on its way
out but i think it has so much potential it just needs a light facelift it needs the floors need
to be redone and it would look like a brand new mall like it has good stores so that was like the
mall so this is like the reemergence of it so it was that was the mall like it has good stores so that was like the mall so this is like the
reemergence of it so it was that was the mall like when i was growing up like it was the mall
there's really there really wasn't a lot in this area stonewood center was the pretty much the only
place so like as i was growing up that was where everybody went for like the black friday stuff
but now you have where we were at the for the movie theater there's downey downey landing and
then downey promenade those are big mega complexes not so much not so much a mall but there's you know your shopping plazas you got
best buys all the big big names over there so stonewood center kind of died out for a little
bit and then covet hit and it kind of got we got hit real bad so it's actually kind of coming back
up so i i know they just opened or they're planning on opening up a dodger clubhouse there
they did i saw it their new there's a new brunch spot that kind of took over for a rock and bruise that got shut down yeah toast
yeah toast um there's aqua puco right there i mean it's like i said there's it's kind of
re-emerging it kind of had a down spell right after covid and kind of got hit by you know
there's you know malls in general kind of got hit but it's kind of it's it's looking better
dude over the last couple years yeah they just need to redo those floors because they're like 1980s floors yeah that's it it looks it looks
old it does kind of feel old but there you could tell like there's new things in it but it just
kind of feels like okay yeah let's remodel just a little bit a little bit more of a makeup on it
just give it a little love and that mall would be popping i swear yeah it's kind of wild how
the whole area is turned around
because i remember um when i was still working for ralph's way back in the day i worked at the
one on firestone i think it's still there did that for about two weeks just to do some training stuff
all the stuff we mentioned and i'm also pretty sure this includes the kaiser permanente hospital
that is right behind that whole complex, none of that was
there.
So it's just wild to see in the span of eight, 10 years, everything has just shown up out
of nowhere.
Where we were for the movie, so that's the Downey Promenade where the Lazy Dog is.
You guys just did that event there, what, a couple weeks ago.
We've done a recording at Lazy Dog there in Downey.
So then there's Cinemark, there's Bar Louie, there's a bunch of of little stuff right there and then there's the other side of it is technically downey landing
and then there's a huge kaiser permanente and that whole area used to of just an empty lot they used
to do science center space shuttle buildings there way way back and it was empty so that's why behind
the gym the gym i go to they're um they have like a space center kind of museum they filmed some
movies over there because it was just a giant empty lot. Like one of the Spider-Man scene,
Tobey Maguire where they're doing like a parade
and it's like the giant globe rolls onto some kid.
They filmed that back there.
I remember as a kid watching that
because I was going to the doctor
at the Kaiser Permanente right there
and we were parked on top of the parking lot.
We saw the Green Goblin dude walking around
in his mask just in his trailers and stuff over there.
That's awesome.
It's a completely different city than it was like 10 years ago when I was growing up.
Yeah, I thought like, oh, damn, if I lived in Downey, there'd be endless stuff to do.
Shout out to the Supercuts where I got my haircut down the street on Firestone by the Randy's Donuts kind of, sort of.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
Randy's Donuts is right there.
Real quick, speaking of Downey, shout out to Porto's.
That place is bomb as hell.
Love that place.
Always like an hour and a half long line.
That place is packed.
No matter the time, no matter the day, it's always packed.
Yeah, I mean, just like the one in Northridge.
And speaking of Northridge, which is one of your old stomping grounds, Eric, Raising Cane's opening this week in Northridge.
I'm going to go to the pre-opening, you know, just feel it out, see how it is.
Yeah, I'm trying to see where it's at.
So it's actually right down the street from the new Porto's.
Yeah.
Right down the street from the Fashion Center.
So that's a little spot that's giving the facelift too.
Oh, for sure.
Northridge is getting more and more food spots that I love.
I mean, they have the stand.
I know the stand is in a lot of locations, but that's why I find myself over there.
And then there's a secret little Katsuya in Northridge
that I hit up too.
I mean, I got to shout out the spot for me and my wife
when we were going to school at Cal State Northridge.
It's no major chain.
It's a nice little hole-in-the-wall Mexican spot.
Senior Soul on Reseda Boulevard,
right across from your seat, son.
So good.
Nice burrito, nice shrimp burrito.
Senior Soul, Reseda Boulevard. That is is the spot i think i was in northridge but there was a place that i went to go eat and i think
it's called eat drink grill uh it is all you can eat korean barbecue spot and it was bomb.com
i think it's northridge and i think i said the. I don't know. I'll look it up for next time.
But guys, we have a major announcement right now.
Major announcement that Tyler's title on his profile on Instagram and on Twitter has changed.
Not the username.
That still stays there.
But the bio has changed just slightly.
Yes. Just a little bit.
To add something to the fold where he'll be working and tyler would
you like to tell everybody where you're going to be working at yeah so i can finally say this after
two months of this being a whole process i can finally say that i accepted a part-time job over
at fan duel so that's going to be really cool oh nice i start on monday so that'd be really cool
i will let you know if i could pod next
week because i don't want to miss my first friday so i'll i'll get back to you on that but now man
i'm really looking forward to it i have to give a lot of credit to uh my current job with a better
sports network if i wasn't working for them i wouldn't be ready for fan on the first place
to the point where like even the recruiter said, it's not that often that we see someone that already has like
sports betting studio experience, you know, just kind of being on the ground floor of this thing
as an, I mean, sports betting has been a thing, but now that it's, you know, just getting bigger
and bigger and it just seems to kind of explode even more and more, you know, I'm happy to still
be, you know, on the ground floor of it. So yeah, I start Monday, super excited. I'm happy to still be you know on the ground floor of it so yeah uh start monday
super excited i'm going to be working on the crawl team which basically runs the ticker that goes on
the bottom of like the fandle tv screen no because you're making like sports bets and all that stuff
this thing is constantly updating so it's going to be really cool to work with that and just
everyone i've talked to during the hiring process seems like an awesome company to work for so i'm
excited yeah i've heard nothing but good things.
Getting out of the house to work. I know, dude. That's all. Oh my God. Wild.
That's all. Look at, look who it is. Uh, I am super stoked because that was one of the main
selling points is that this job requires me to be back in the studio. And I'm like, thank Christ.
I've said like nothing against my
current job but I'm so sick of working from home I need to get out more so I'm gonna be working over
Culver City Los Angeles kind of by LAX like that little area right there so it's gonna be cool I'm
excited are you still gonna be working for the better so that was actually really cool so I asked
FanDuel I said hey listen because this is a part-time job would you be cool if i kept my current part-time job as well with this other sports betting network well i didn't realize
that apparently they've partnered on a couple things and i guess because of that fanduel was
like yeah sure you can keep that job so i'm gonna be able to do both get a couple extra paychecks so
i'm not complaining i'm not stoked tyler's fresh polos are coming out, menace. I know. You've got to dig to the back of the closet. Okay, remember, Tyler, don't smell.
You've got to make sure you wash yourself regularly
and put on some nice cologne.
Deodorant is your friend.
It's like sending our kid off to kindergarten again.
Yeah, I know.
It's so exciting.
So, Tyler, I will say,
we brought up your title change on Twitter.
You're going to be meeting a lot of new people at work
that are scouring your Instagrams
and your Twitters. I would recommend
losing the hot dog photo that you
have pinned to the top of your Twitter profile.
Oh, you know what?
I would just say, I don't know if that's the first impression
you want people. I mean, it's a funny photo.
It's a funny tweet, but like,
you're meeting a lot of new people at school today.
Yeah, no.
You don't want to be like guzzling hot dogs on your Twitter.
First off, I love the Miho reference right there.
Second, not even going to lie, I thought about this last night.
I was like, I should probably take that or at least unpin it.
Like, if you really want to go looking for it, feel free.
Yeah, man, you don't need it, whatever.
It's a funny tweet, whatever.
But, yeah, that's like literally you don't even have to scroll
and it's just you
let this conversation come up naturally you know it's like somebody says oh hot dogs like you know i ain't not in any game one yeah and then you bring it up and then you scroll so it's not like
dang this dude's really proud of it still and it pins on top of his twitter profile
so tyler's got a new title right does this mean a new Twitter handle? No, no, no.
Mention this right before you came in.
The handle will stay the same.
Honestly, I think the only way the handle becomes different
is if I finally get out of the media game.
Then at that point, I'll share his handle.
But no, I think that handle's here to stay.
Yeah, I'm retired.
Got it.
You got to do that thing that radio DJs do after they retire with their username, because
a lot of people say on air, you know?
Oh, yeah.
They put off air.
Off air.
Yeah, I think the one person I saw do that was our friend Harms.
I remember him doing that when he finally left iHeart, and I was just like, get there
eventually.
Speaking about social media, Threads. threads it's here all in or all out um i don't know i haven't i mean i haven't
downloaded yet i haven't the only things i've seen of it are like screenshots from people
oh really you haven't been on it yet okay so not yet not yet let me break it down for everybody
this is basically twitter but it is run by instagram
it's instagram's version of twitter it's called threads and the only thing that's kind of missing
is gifs you can't use gifs or gifs on it which i think that's a whiff on their part but
the really cool part i think is you get to use your same instagram username so your username
is already saved.
So you don't have to worry about running
and jumping onto the platform
and trying to get your username.
Your username is your Instagram name.
So you're good on that.
And you don't really have to really beg for followers
because once you sign in,
if you follow all the same people that you normally follow,
you can go ahead and do that.
And then the people-
You just like import them or what?
Yeah, you were like, would you like to follow all the same people that you follow on instagram and
then you go yes so all the people that are signing on to the platform they're pretty much doing the
same thing so then you're already growing your followers so you don't have to beg for a new
follow because it's an entirely different platform so you were kind of like on your way out of
twitter anyways right menace you haven't you weren't really a twitter yeah you're so active on it but you
weren't really you know well yeah because it's just a place for effing a-holes you know and
and trolls and dickheads but yeah here's the thing that's what facebook instagram says or
meta whatever their name is this week says they want
threads to be they want threads to be a more positive environment you know yeah i just haven't
downloaded it yet because i'm a slow i'm a slow guy to come around on these new platforms anyways
so i just don't i don't see the need for it just yet like i know all the people that i follow
have tweeted out that they're over there and it's like i mainly use twitter for sports updates and
stuff anyways and guess what espn's not losing their twitter account yeah like
all these insiders are still going to be cross-platform tweeting what they're going to be
finding or writing so i don't see the necessary need for it just yet yeah i think it's just
exciting and new and fun and people want to bag on twitter so this is their way of doing it say
oh you're drawing the line in the sand yeah you know
so here's my only thing with it is it gonna be here to stay because i could have sworn i read
yesterday that i think elon is already suing or threatening to sue mark zuckerberg over threads
because it's pretty much almost the same thing like twitter so i don't know how long this thing
is gonna be here but let's have some fun with it well Well, the big deal is Elon. Now, see, I love Elon. I think Elon's great. But this is,
I don't know about this lawsuit, because he's trying to say it's all ex-Twitter employees
that built this platform, right? So they basically use Twitter technology to make it.
Well, I mean, you fired all those people. They got to go work somewhere. And they're the ones that even though Twitter does say own it, these people are still the people that built the technology. company hey you did this great job we're gonna pull you over here we're gonna have you do this or maybe do an updated version or do something similar but better and it's nothing different
that's ever happened yeah there's companies that are notorious for poaching they have endless money
so they'll just go they'll buy a little company or they'll just buy the employees off to come work
for them but in this case the twitter staff all got let go they need jobs you know let them
work him to sue them is kind of i don't know he needs to pick a different lane on that so i agree
with my space man i know just bring it back to my space was fun bro oh my god it was customization
music all the drama of the top eight good times what was that a couple years ago they tried to
bring it back like some of the original people were like here here space
Hey, and it was pretty much a clone of the original 1.0 of myspace no, but they didn't have a mobile version
So you had to do it on a
Yes, yeah
The guy who created Napster, I think he was behind it. I'm drawing a blank on his name right now. Sean Parker?
Yeah, Sean Parker.
Justin Timberlake's character in the social network.
I don't know who it is.
Anyways, he was behind the whole relaunch of the MySpace thing,
and I remember it was cool for like a day, and then it just died.
I went on MySpace right now.
The homepage is like a Yahoo page.
It's like news articles and stuff.
I think it mainly is more of like a music site now.
Yeah, so Eric, don't worry.
You don't have to jump on threads just yet
because your username is still there.
But check it out if you want to.
It's kind of fun.
It's kind of cool.
I do see a little bit of different stuff
than I do from the people that I follow.
Check it out.
All right, other breaking news in our lives.
Brett told us at the end of the last podcast
that he was moving.
How's the moving situation going?
It's going, guys.
It's a process.
Hesitation, what's going on?
You know, it's just the usual stuff
where if you've stayed somewhere for a long time,
I know Eric's moved a few times the last couple years,
and Menace has.
Tyler moved his ass all the way to Texasxas and back for no good reason uh hey you know but i've been pretty much in the
same spot for almost like going on eight years now so i was here before i joined the woody show i was
here pre-pandemic during the pandemic after so it's just a lot of stuff you have to pack up but
i can't leave my apartment for another three weeks, right?
So, you know, I got a little extra time to move.
But man, we're surrounded by boxes now.
We just keep boxing things up and I just want to move in already.
Yeah.
Give me the keys.
I just want to get this stuff out of here.
Like, I'm sitting on boxes at this point.
That's why I told you, man, if you can swing it, use movers.
If you live in L.A., my favorite moving company that I've used every single time,
they're great, they're affordable, they're quick.
It's called Pure Movers.
Check them out.
Pure Movers.
Not a sponsor, but could be.
Here's the real question.
How did boxing up all the figures go?
How long did that take?
I know.
How many hundreds are we talking about of figures?
No, no, no, not hundreds.
Thousands.
Thousands of figures. Like for all, no, not hundreds. Thousands. Thousands of figures.
Like for all those?
That's crazy.
So then, yeah, so then I did about a third of the Star Wars figures.
I'm about halfway on the Transformer figures.
Yeah, man, it's just a process.
And putting them all where they need to go.
Gundam figures, I did all the Gundam figures last night.
That was two boxes, two small boxes.
And then you have to pack them accordingly.
So you either have to do like tissue paper. have to do some padding t-shirts t-shirts are your best
friend if you're moving figures by the way they don't scratch anything in between you kind of
like bundle them around each other so i have a giant tote of transformers i packed up last night
i was thinking about i was like man to most people this would sound crazy and like why would you have
all this stuff but everybody's got something hopefully you'll be all moved in soon and enjoying your
new spot that'll be fun do you guys want some food news yes news i sounded really fat saying
that first not gonna lie check this out i needed that sonic drive-Thru has their tater tots now available at Walgreens.
All in or all out?
Cooked?
Like ready to go?
No, in the frozen food section.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
I was picturing something like at Walmart where they have like the little burritos in the middle of the chicken or the pizza.
Yeah, they have it like on the little warmer, like the island warmer.
Yeah.
Ah, that out.
I mean, if it was on
a warmer i'd buy them all day i'd probably be in i mean i well my only thing is is that like
well my only thinking is is that like what makes them that much different than any other normal
frozen i mean yeah yeah screw it i'll try. You've got to do a taste test.
Eric, all in or all out on Sonic Tots?
I mean, I like some tots.
I'm always in on some tots.
Maybe there's some kind of seasoning on it.
I don't remember.
It's possible.
It's possible.
Because the nearest Sonic to me, you know, I live, you know, by Burbank. The closest one is in Anaheim.
So I'm not going to Sonic.
Yeah.
So that's the only thing that that's one of the small things I hated about moving back here.
So at my old apartment in Houston, there was a Sonic literally a mile down the street from my house.
And the next closest one was within five miles for where I live right now.
Now that I'm back home, the closest one is in Fullerton.
It's about 10, 12 miles. Sonic is usually a treat it's like uh it's usually a road trip it's coming home from
Vegas coming home from the deserts usually coming east to west and it's off like the 10 or the 210
and you're like damn I'm hungry and you're like all right well we got 40 miles to Sonic and then
we pull over you know we don't have to get out of the car most of the time because they have that
in-car ordering system order a milkshake maybe two one for home when you get home
but yeah i like i mean honestly those burgers they have some pretty good burgers i mean they
have a little bit of everything yeah it's good i just don't have the access to it yeah they have
the glorious mozzarella sticks oh yeah so good if you're really trying to soak up some of that
vegas alcohol in the drive home they got you oh yeah yeah set all right how about this one cheesy jalapeno mcmuffin all in or all out
i did see this um i'll you know i'll try it uh i love the spice of the jalapeno i just hate like
the actual like uh if this makes sense, the pepper consistency with it.
But as far as it being spicy,
if they just got the jalapeno seeds,
which is the real hot part, and threw it on the sandwich,
I'd be fine with that.
But yeah, I'll probably try it.
I got some McDonald's food news for you.
Ooh, okay.
What do you got?
Saw it earlier today.
It's only in Indonesia.
You know how all these weird things get rolled out
and everywhere but America for some reason.
It's a wedding package.
And you can order the chicken sandwich, the chicken fingers, cheeseburgers, or chicken nuggets.
And you have to order at least 200 boxes or 200 burgers.
And they'll cater your wedding.
Hell yes.
Hell yeah.
I'm down.
You know what?
You know what that would be?
I just got married and there's just a like a tower of
yes boxes of chicken nuggets let's do it if you guys remember when we went to eric's wedding and
after we were all drunk and everything they brought out coffee and pizza that's what the
equivalent is so as everybody's drunk and leaving here please take some chicken nuggets home sober
up or whatever well they used to have like the what was it the you could buy 50 50 boxes or
something or like 100 chicken nuggets and i remember i remember doing that at vegas a couple
times like same thing late night just hell yeah give me the 50 boxes of chicken nuggets and just
stack them in the middle of the table yeah i'm down all right how about this now i see tyler
rocking this all right did you see the 7-eleven now has a bunch of merch now they've always had
merch but now they've taken it to another level.
They have a gold chain that has a Slurpee on it that's $2,500.
And I think we need to start a GoFundMe and get Tyler this $2,500 Slurpee chain
so he can wear it to work on his first day.
I am a fan of the coke slurpees so
that's a good icebreaker so big 7-eleven guy huge 7-eleven guy
um they call me the slurpee king okay yeah so i mean i'd i'd be down and you know what real quick
i totally forgot to mention this okay so there's something else with mcdonald's that i sent you
guys i think it was yesterday and that's this has been spotted in the U.S., specifically Oklahoma, New Jersey, and Ohio for now.
And hopefully within the next few months will be nationwide.
Cookies and cream pie.
Oh, hell yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Saw that, immediately got excited.
I was like, oh, man, that actually looks really good.
I'm curious if they just, are they giving it to you hot?
Is it just like room temperature?
I'm curious how that's going to work out.
Interesting.
Or cold, yeah.
Do you have the Hershey's Sunday Pie from Burger King?
Have you guys ever bought those?
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, the Reese's one they had too was bomb.
Oh, yeah.
Burger King, we always give it some love.
I feel like it's
severely underrated yeah because people sleep on it yeah you go there and you're like decent burgers
the patties taste good i love the buns yeah a little uh what's sesame seeds on them oh yeah
their dessert game is secretly kind of good sorry i've got the whopper whopper whopper
tyler just be like i saw this thing got excited
while he's wearing his slurpee
chain
I know what half of you are thinking yes I
am that type of person that's gonna wiggle my fingers
before I grab a donut saying don't mind if I
but I mean
how can you not be excited about something
cookies and cream related I mean, how can you not be excited about something? Cookies and cream related.
I mean,
let's be honest.
How many,
how many people did you text that to?
Once you saw it,
it's actually just you guys.
No,
no,
just you guys.
Cause I knew that was going to be like,
it's probably going to be a food news topic.
So I'll just bring it up now.
Noise.
Oh,
real quick.
Did you guys see what I put in the group chat?
I mean,
it was early this morning, but the WWE thing that's happening at see what i put in the group chat i mean it was early this morning
but the wwe thing that's happening at accresher arena in the coachella valley uh i did not give
me yes check it out it's been a little spree of accresher announcements here the last couple of
days the action is kind of popping i think they realize that palm springs is a new little hot spot
for people to do the whole like you whole weekend away for special people from LA.
Everybody's going to Palm Springs for
a Friday, Saturday, Sunday trip.
Plus, even if you don't want to do the staying thing,
it's what, an hour and a half drive?
It sure is nice, too, dude. We're going out there for
a pair more next weekend. I know. They're having all
these events on Saturdays. It's awesome.
Did you guys pull it up? Did you see the
WWE thing? I did. This actually
looks pretty cool, yeah. Yeah, man.
WWE Super Show.
That's where they take people from Monday Night Raw and SmackDown.
You know, there are two competing brands, so they have wrestlers separate.
So you can't see the same wrestlers on both shows.
So you get to see all of their superstars on one big show on Saturday.
It's pretty much like a mini pay-per-view, but live and in person.
And it's pretty dope, man.
That looks awesome yeah
so the cool thing about like these super shows when they're on a weekend so it's it's going to
be a house show some of those house shows are so fun to go to because you'll see matchups that you
wouldn't normally see on tv like this guy faced this dude or whatever and they're just so fun and
they interact with the crowd so much more because they're not on TV.
This is going to be really cool to go to.
Accresure is like a barn,
dude.
There's tons of people.
It's super tight packed.
So like that ring,
there's not a bad seat.
Yeah.
Some of these,
like that ring will be nice and front and center from almost everybody who's
in there.
Like there's not a bad seat in that whole venue.
And it says,
brace yourself for an unforgettable lineup featuring the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes,
yes,
Seth Rollins,
Kevin Owens,
Rhea Ripley,
Bianca Belair,
and Eric's favorite,
Jimmy and Jay Uso.
Yes!
Tiny feet himself.
Tiny feet returns!
Tiny feet!
Tiny feet!
Tiny feet!
Tiny feet!
Dude, what about if we got front row and we're they're yelling it again
they're like these guys again they're back those bastards why are they here i thought they were in
vegas yeah go to our instagram account at what's new pod on instagram you'll see a little video
of us talking about the tiny feet thing just look for the wrestling videos but yeah i thought that would be fun to go to and so if you can pull it off that'd be awesome all right you reached out
to see what we could do with them all right guys well i hate to make this short i am still
in a closet in coachella valley i wanted to be in wood i know but dude this week i've been swimming
this whole week and it's been awesome.
I'm just going to resorts and just hanging out in the pool and just drinking all day, and it's super fun.
I highly recommend what Eric told us the last maybe two podcasts ago.
Take your vacations, guys.
They're pretty fun.
I agree.
I'm on day two.
It's pretty nice.
It's all packing, but it's pretty nice.
I like it.
Nice, nice.
Yeah.
I don't think people realize just how much of a staycation when you just stay
at home and don't do anything like how much it really refreshes you. I, for whatever reason,
for the longest time, I just didn't take vacations. And I remember when I was working
for the Woody show, one of our bosses said, you legally have to take your vacation. Like you need
to go. And I was like, okay, whatever. And I took it and i came back and i was like that was super super refreshing and
i literally just didn't do anything all day it was just like you know it just takes all that stress
off yeah it's very shocking i know well what sucks is the first half of the vacation seemed like
super slow which was awesome now i'm already like oh oh, it's Monday already. You know, don't just start telling me that.
Once you start counting down, it's the worst.

so and she told me I'm worried about you you do too much and I tried to tell her I go look social

Tyler, do you have anything to say before we leave? Two things real quick. Number one,
just thanks again for the Mission Impossible screening screening my brothers and my dad also extend their thanks uh they want to know why their drink and popcorn wasn't also comp i told
them to just deal with it so they sound like they're part of your family that was no joke
so like i know my dad's in a comfortable situation when he starts cracking jokes
um because he's mostly an introverted person and he started cracking that joke on the way home and I was just like oh my god yeah he had fun so that so thanks again for that number one
uh number two uh I did see something on my way home uh the other day they are building a raisin
canes a mile from my house and I'm excited sweet I am super stoked and this thing I can tell you
where its location is this thing is going to
be packed it is about a mile away from the high school i used to go to there's a bunch of kids
that live on that uh live in that area in general it's going to be right by like the santa fe
springs uh shopping center that has a walmart and target in it this thing is going to be in a prime
location wait so that's going to be the second one in whittier isn't there already one open in whittier uh i think there is one already open in whittier but it's
on the far side that's over by like the 605 and uh going towards like rose hills that's completely
on the other side of whittier this one it might be whittier it might be santa fe springs because
the area it's in is like the border of both those cities okay either way it's a mile from my house
i'm not complaining noise all right eric anything to say before we leave um i know you guys have probably seen it
because you have instagram but these videos that are coming out of msg sphere in vegas oh they're
dope right lit it up over a fourth of july weekend oh man they look sick dude i mean and i mean
they're just flexing at this point like i know kind of cool crap can we throw up there like they
had like a giant eyeball so i mean if you guys haven't seen on instagram just give it a look it's we've been
we've seen it being built over what the last four or five years when we went to vegas together i
mean it was right outside our windows at the wind when we stayed last time and i mean just i can't
imagine staying at the wind and then looking out and just looking out and there's a giant like 500
foot eyeballs staring back at you dude like these
the screen quality the video quality of these videos that they're projecting onto the outside
of it is nuts you know for a fact that someone was flying into vegas they looked out the window
and just saw a giant eyeball on the ground and thought they were tripping balls dude it's crazy
like they just uh i just saw a video of it this morning of they put out like they made it a giant basketball because nba summer league is coming up oh yeah if it's just
started or but yeah it's coming so it's an advertisement for that i mean yeah they did
some cool like usa flag projections over the weekend and it's just a giant flex it looks so
sick yeah i can't wait to check it out i know i'm trying to go to an event that they're having
outside of the sphere.
Like,
because I guess there's like a little promenade right in the front of it and
they're going to have a major laser concert in front of there.
Oh,
sick.
I'm looking at the F1.
I'm looking at the events on the inside of right now.
It's just all YouTube events and this postcard from earth show,
which I'm sure is probably dope.
I don't even know what the inside of it looks like,
but if it's anything like the outside,
I'm sure it's sick as hell.
Oh, hell yeah.
I can't wait.
All right.
Brett, anything to say before we leave?
Yes, I do.
Good luck, Tyler, on your new job.
Good luck on your new endeavors.
And please, for the love of God,
hide every single picture of you eating
that has ever gone up on social media.
Yeah, go through your social.
For all of our sakes.
The one that says,
F this person, F that person.
Take that crap out of your mouth. Oh, yeah through your social. For all of our sakes. The one that says, F this person, F that person.
Take that crap. Oh, yeah.
All the bar photos, everything.
Just do a cleaning of everything right now.
A good advanced Twitter search is in your future.
Yeah.
Yeah, you know,
I am not proud to admit
that there are more than one pictures of me eating
probably surfacing online.
It's not the greatest look, but oh well.
A little clean up when it hurt.
Oh, quick, Eric,
we need to download these pictures
and tweet them to him every single week.
Let's do that right now. You do not. You do not. Oh, and. Eric, we need to download these pictures and tweet them to him every single week. Let's do that right now.
You do not. Oh, and I can't wait
to do a little
office tour. I finally get an office
tour. Finally,
after I don't know how long everybody's been
at the NFL office, but I get one this week
and I'm super excited. Wow.
Yeah, he's going to be swinging by after
he hits up
Sinopolis over in Inglewood. So he's going to hang swinging by after he hits up Sinopolis.
So he's going to hang out and have some lunch with me.
Show him around.
I'm super excited about that.
And I get to.
Wait, Eric's showing you around?
Yeah.
Did I hear that right?
Oh, okay.
The world travel.
Oh, okay. At that point, I think.
So it's just going to be me and Menace.
A nice little lunch date between the two of us.
That's the Dorbs.
I'm excited for that.
So I'm just throwing it out there. fan duel on next right uh yeah as far as long as they're cool with
it i'll wait no but i'll wait for you to work there for quite a while before i ask yeah well
i was just thinking real quick because eric said it'll be you know me and menace it's a legitimate
question who put this tour together was it an eric and randy production or just an eric production
it was a menace production yeah it was me hey so what's about what about my tour on this day and i'm like what
and he's like yeah i'm gonna be in town i'm like sick i'm gonna be working come by yeah i pretty
much put it together i i forced myself upon that real quick jimmy do you want to say goodbye if he
if you listen to this podcast and it sound like some dogs were sleeping in the background because
it is true they were sleeping j Jimmy, do you want to say goodbye?
All right.
I thought that was Tyler.
Not gonna lie, could have been confused for me. Not even gonna lie. Is that Tyler snoring?
Is that a milk mama?
We'll see you next week.
What's new? What's new with
Menace? We'll see you next time.
