What's new? What's new with Menace?
What's up everybody and welcome to another edition of What's New Pod. I am Menace. I'm joined by Bort, a.k.a. Brett.
He's an audio expert and syndication expert with the Woody Show Morning Show that you can hear across the United States and around the world on AFN.
Hello.
We're also joined by Eric, who works for the nfl podcasting network he is live in downey california
and joining us very close in whittier california that'd be heavy t aka tyler what is up everybody
how are you doing you're feeling good what up yeah i'm feeling good later on the podcast we'll
be joined by gabriel iglesias i met up with him at the Blue Wire Studios at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas.
And we had a little chat.
That was super fun.
We'll get into that.
But we haven't had a podcast since the new year.
Everybody have a good new year?
Anybody?
Yeah, it was low key.
You know, again, I feel like this is the fourth year in a row because I remember being at
the Woody Show during vacation weeks during New Year's week dealing with sickness.
I was sick.
Sick as a dog again on New Year's Eve.
Again?
What'd you do?
Yeah, dude.
It's like nothing.
I don't know.
I can't get out of the last week of the year
without just dealing with being sick.
Like this week,
this last week,
I've been,
you might be able to hear it in my voice right now.
Like I'm still a little nasally.
Just, you know,
head cold, congestion.
I felt like crap.
I was, you know,
stayed up till like 12.01 just to be able to say I saw the new year. I was, you know, stayed up till like 1201 just to
be able to say, I saw the new year. I was out cold, probably meeting up with family and friends
and all that kind of stuff for the holidays. And then you get sick from other people. And I'm
going to pull the curtain back a little bit on the Woody show. There is, there's always an internal
argument, our conversation about when we have the Christmas party, because it's right before we go on a big, huge vacation.
And I'll tell you this, many times I've been sick because we have that huge party.
Everybody's sick, but they still want to go to the party and then they get other people sick.
So luckily this time around, I had a slight cough after the party for a couple of days,
but then I was good. But there's been some parties where I've been like
wrecked
the first week of vacation. Yeah. And luckily, this might be me being more of an adult now.
Like I plan to go out the day before on New Year's Eve. And I was like, nah, I canceled on a friend
that I was, you know, looking forward to see. I didn't go out on New Year's Eve. Like usually in
the past, F it, go have some drinks. You'll forget about being sick. I'm like, nope. This time I was
in bed at like 9 p.m. on the day before Christmas Eve.
And it's like, dude, nope.
And this rain would have helped too, you know,
if I actually kind of went and just got myself trashed.
Anybody else had anything going on?
Yeah, I mean, it was much like Eric's very low-key.
I had the week off.
Sweet.
Hell yeah.
Nice.
Even with Eric gone,
I was still able to have a week off somehow.
It was amazing.
Couchcation, baby.
Yeah, except I had to go see my in-laws.
Three hours up north, 18 hours, three hours back.
Yeah.
But you know what?
Still, couch, sleep, a couple drinks here and there.
Got to go to a pirate-themed tiki bar in Venice.
Nice.
On New Year's Eve.
Heck yeah.
That rules.
It was very cool.
Oh, it's nearby.
We should go check it out sometime.
Yeah, it was very calm, just the way I nearby. We should go check it out sometime. And yeah, it was very, very calm.
Just the way I like my life.
Very calm.
Which apparently Eric manifests sickness just to enjoy that now with me.
Tyler?
I did not do anything.
I stayed home.
What?
Watched a ton of football.
Yeah, dude.
Well, so I had originally had plans to go out.
I was going to go hang out with my friend's family in Chino.
And then a couple of days before, he's like, yo, we're moving it to my brother's house in Lake Elsinore.
And I'm like, I'm not driving that far in the rain that late.
That's not happening.
So, yeah.
So I just stayed home.
Like I said, watch some really good college football.
And yeah, dude, just relax.
Basically stayed up till one just playing video games.
That was it, dude.
One of the things about, sorry, man man it's to me to cut you off but one of the things about like
you know it's because i have been dealing with sickness so i've been you know pretty much home
on new years for the last couple years or you know how did they go to the woody show so you
know i don't really go out too much so i've watched these like new year's eve shows pretty
much consecutively last like three or four years yeah and. And I don't know if it's just in old age,
but as a kid, you know, you see these, the ball dropping.
Oh, it's huge.
Maybe like now, just because I get that,
I understand these are tape delayed,
or I'm watching them and I'm like, these suck.
The production, I feel, has gone way down.
I feel you.
Like as a kid, I was like, oh, A-list stars all the time.
Dude, no.
Big ass performers. But I feel like, oh, A-list stars all the time. Dude, no. Big-ass performers.
But I feel like over the years, it has dwindled to D-listers.
The performers blow.
It's like every performer.
I'm just like, dude, you're either mega old or I don't know who the hell you are.
And again, this might be old man, you don't have to count stuff.
No, I don't think you're wrong.
And now I understand.
It's like I'm usually kind of sitting down for the night at 9 p.m.
So there's a good chance I saw the ball drop already.
Now I'm just sitting here for three hours to re-watch the ball drop.
And then on every channel, they have this like 30 minutes of this block of news at like 11 o'clock or like 1030 to 11.
So now I'm like, okay, well, I'm kind of like maybe if I'm like, you know, if I was having some champagne, even though I was sick in house.
Of course.
It gets rid of all the mucus. Yeah. You know, I'm getting a little buzz and I'm like, all of a sudden I'm like, you know, if I was having some champagne, even though I was sick in house. Of course. It gets rid of all the mucus.
Yeah.
You know, I'm getting a little buzz and I'm like, all of a sudden it's like, oh, okay.
You know, okay, cool.
I'm dealing with whatever.
I've had a couple, a couple glasses.
So I'm feeling getting, maybe getting into the night.
And it's like, now on your 1030 news.
It's like, what the, what, what are we doing?
Yeah, dude.
Like every channel had this block of news in the middle of this.
Like it's, and then, yeah, I know.
And then they have Miley Cyrus.
Every year, I don't see Miley Cyrus until the final day of the year.
It's insane.
I think the Miley Cyrus one, actually, out of all of them,
was probably the best one.
To be honest.
She's at least young.
She's young.
She has really good performers.
The production value is way high.
Did you guys also see, I I think it was like Texas or Phoenix
or somewhere, their big thing was
dropping a Taco Bell
taco. Oh yeah, that was pretty cool.
I think that was in Arizona. Watch that.
That was pretty dope.
By the way,
Taco Bell drop. Tucson,
Arizona. Shout out to Tucson.
Hell yeah, I love Tucson.
Shout out to Julianne, who calls it
Tuscan.
Shout out to Tuscan.
I actually went to go see Gwen Stefani at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
And nothing but hits, hits, hits, and more hits.
I had more fun watching your stories than the actual TV that I watched that day.
That's true.
That's true.
Yeah, it was super fun.
Switching up to sports real quick though eric biggest sports news out of all sports right
now has to do with the buffalo bills can you recap that a little bit so yeah monday night football
bangles bills um damar hamlin um looking back on now you cannot we can recap it really easily but
when it happened in real time it was so confusing because but basically he took a hit or he hit
tackled somebody took a shoulder to the chest and collapsed on the field um like josh allen crying stefan dicks crying tre davis white
crying players like visibly shaken so you had a feeling this wasn't a normal like you know broken
leg concussion and you don't you hate to downplay stuff like that but you could tell this was
different um so yeah things go by he was ambulance You find out later he had to have nine minutes of CPR
and be resuscitated on the field.
He comes out later.
He had to be resuscitated in the hospital.
DeMar Hamlin, a cornerback for the Bills.
So yeah, he's still in the ICU.
I think last I heard he still has a ventilator breathing for him,
like 40%.
But the word is he's progressing.
He's going in the right direction, obviously very slowly.
You don't want to take that as some big thing.
He's out of the woods.
He's not, but there's good signs, positive signs.
But yeah, like you said, this is the biggest story in the world right now.
Everybody's watching to see.
It's crazy because if you look at the video,
it doesn't really look like a crazy tackle.
No.
It doesn't at all.
It looks like a nothing thing yeah just
yeah the way he was hit was just but that but that could be anybody's anatomy you know any
kind of structure any kind of you know uh injury they could have had in the past or just body
anomaly you know it's like somebody gets hit in the head the wrong way and something happens but
the effed up thing was that there were some people still calling for the game to go on
and it just like i was having flashbacks just, like, I was having flashbacks.
Just watching on Twitter, I was having flashbacks of Owen Hart's death.
Yeah.
In 99 at the pay-per-view where it's like, he fell from the ceiling.
Oh, we're going to keep the pay-per-view going.
Why?
He literally just dropped dead.
And, like, if the player had, you know, hopefully recoveries very fast and hopefully everything's good.
But if something had happened to him on that field permanently,
like how could any of those people live with themselves
knowing that? Like, hey, we just kept playing.
Yeah.
Yeah, the teams are like, like yesterday
was pretty dark in the NFL. Most teams weren't doing
press or media availabilities.
The Bills are doing practice today because I mean
it's, you're moving along, season's going
but you know, like so now the cincinnati bangles coach actually just had a press conference like an hour
ago and talked about i'm sure everybody saw the interaction he came across the field talked to
sean mcdermott the bills head coach zach taylor the bangles head coach said he's like yeah i could
tell like this wasn't right like i could see like this wasn't right so when i came across like i
took the headset off his
coaching headset and talked to sean and mcdermott the bills coach said he's like he's like i need
to go to the hospital like i cannot coach this game well i don't want to bring down the room
anymore but i do want to acknowledge uh also ken block the co-founder of dc shoes rally car driver
if you don't even know that name i guarantee you've witnessed some of his driving on YouTube.
If you've seen a car that has a monster energy drink logo on it, and it is flying through
the streets of a major city, that is Ken Block.
If you've been to a 7-Eleven where there is a Raleigh car sticker of monster with a
guy on it, that's probably him.
That is Ken Block.
And he died in a snowmobile accident, which is just insane because you would instantly think like, oh, what do you heard that he passed?
It was like, oh, car accident, something like that.
But no, snowmobile, which is the way that he died is pretty crazy that the snow just like went out from under him.
And then the snowmobile went on top of him.
So it's horrible.
He has a family and I definitely like the whole car world, skate world.
Everything has been acknowledging his death.
And I wanted to give him a shout out because he's definitely been a part of my life because my love for DC shoes.
So I'm well aware of him.
And I also want to shout out,
uh,
I know we've been talking about the overuse of the word goats,
but, uh,
she definitely was a broadcasting goat.
That would be Barbara Walters.
And I've been watching Barbara Walters my entire life.
I think probably you guys as well.
Oh yeah.
Definitely.
Like TV infomercials, commercials, just 2020. I think when I guys as well. Oh, yeah. Definitely. Like TV, infomercials, commercials.
2020, I think, is when I first started watching her.
Yeah.
What a weird, weird week, man.
Just weird accidents and people sadly passing away.
Just very odd.
And I know I mentioned on the previous podcast, but also DJ Twitch as well, if you missed that.
A guy that listened to the Woody Show,
interacted with the Woody Show social media all the time,
and that's pretty sad.
But I do not want to keep the vibe like this.
I want to liven it up a little bit, have some fun.
I hung out with Gabriel Iglesias, a.k.a. Fluffy,
at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas at the Blue Wire Studios las vegas at the blue wire studios and eventually
we're gonna get the whole room together we're gonna we're gonna do a podcast at the blue wire
studios together in las vegas but fluffy and i happen to be there at the same time so we decided
meet up and do a little interview i know he was on the on the podcast not too long ago but i have
even more questions i have more things I want to ask him.
Well, and also that was a very busy day.
He had a lot to promote, but this seems like you guys actually just hung out.
Yeah, there's a ton of video clips on my Instagram, at menace, M-E-N-A-C-E.
But everybody, give it up for Fluffy.
It's just me.
I'm going to clap for myself. Come on. I'm going to clap for myself. Come on gonna clap I'm gonna clap for myself
come on
I'm gonna clap for myself
come on
I'm gonna clap for myself
just FYI
as we're doing this interview
the whole casino can see us
so there's gonna be people
stopping by saying hello
can I talk to you about
and if you don't want to talk about it
it's okay
but you've done some interviews about it
so I want to see
the dog birthday party
can I talk to you about that a little bit
yeah
okay
you had a quinceanera for your dog I didn't see you post anything about it want to see. The dog birthday party. Can I talk to you about that a little bit? Yeah. Okay. You
had a quinceanera for your dog. I didn't see you post anything about it. And then a couple weeks
later, I saw like a video that was going viral from that party. And then eventually I saw you
talking about the party. Did you not want it out in the public? So the original plan for the
quinceanera for my dog Risa was I just wanted to throw a nice party.
Everybody that attended, I told everybody, hey, you guys are more than welcome to take pictures
and videos and stuff. I said, just, you know, don't video me. Don't record me. Don't take
pictures of me. It's not about me. It's about my little dog and stuff. And so someone wound up
recording me pushing the dog stroller because I had a dog stroller. Yeah. And I'm pushing her in it and they
wound up posting it online. And so I get a phone call and I'm like, oh, shoot. It made it to like
some quinceanera website. And the video had like a million views on it. I'm like, are you kidding
me? So I'm like, I'm not going to let somebody capitalize. Yeah. I'm like, I got to do it. So
then that's when I wound up posting it. But I wasn't going to I wasn't going to do it. Yeah. I
wasn't trying to make headlines or anything with it.
But once I saw that the video became
popular, I'm like, well, I might as well. And all I did
was repost the same video that they had
posted of me pushing the dog
stroller. But you could see so much happening
in the background. You could see
the outdoor heaters.
You could see the balloons. You could see the
decorations, the tables, the people sitting
down. You could tell it was a legit, you know, party environment.
And so once I posted it, man, that thing got like four or five million views.
Yeah, it blew up.
And I started getting phone calls.
My publicist was like, Risa's party was a hit.
Everybody wants to talk about it.
And so I want to say that I did an interview with People Magazine, Today's Show,
and it made it to multiple media outlets. People on the radio were talking about it, you know, and
I thought it was pretty cool. Yeah, it was super fun. I loved it. And thank you again for inviting
me. Yeah, I didn't post anything. Nice. I was being respectful. That's all. So the good thing
and the bad thing is that, you know, it was awesome because everybody was talking about this party the bad thing of course was that uh every outlet was
focusing on how much i spent versus it just being a cool party yeah and i get it it's a catch-22
what makes people want to talk about it you know like hey really you did this for your dog you went
all out for your dog and so um most of the comments most of the feedback was very positive
but then of course
there's some people that got a little bit you know it wasn't their business but they were talking
smack yeah haters are gonna haters are gonna hate like you know how many starving children there are
in this world and you're gonna throw a party for a dog and i'm like will you relax you know uh yeah
you can do both you can be charitable and you can throw a party for your dog but nobody nobody knows
what's going on.
You know, all they see is what's in front of them.
They don't, you know, take the time to ask questions.
Now, we're here before New Year's.
And I want to know, do you have any goals set for 2023 that you want to share?
Or do you not do that?
Resolutions.
I used to do resolutions every year.
But, you know, and now it's at the point where I don't know if you can make plans.
I don't know what's coming down the pike.
I don't know if we got more different strains of the thing coming or, you know, if they're going to let us go outside, if they're going to keep us home.
You know, is this going to be the year the aliens show up?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I know.
You want to plan things out.
It's hard to plan, man, you know.
Throwing curveballs.
I know I'm going to Hash House of Go-Go in a little bit after this.
I could plan that far ahead.
That's about an hour and a half, two hours.
Yeah, for real.
I want to know this because…
And there's…
Next year, there's a Transformers movie coming out.
Do you ever have a goal of being in a live action…
I would love to be in a Transformers film.
That would be the best right there.
Would that be…
Let me just manifest that.
It's about time.
I read there was like a campaign
for you to do a voice for a character.
Now, did you end up doing that voice?
No.
For Transformers?
No.
No.
From 2017, there was campaign online
for you to voice on the Transformers.
That would have been cool.
That would have been awesome.
I know you can do it.
Okay.
Speaking about projects,
is there somebody that you would love to do a project with that you have not met? Let's manifest
that. You know what? I had an opportunity to chit chat and hang out with Chris Rock and Chappelle
a few weeks ago. I went to go attend their Honda Center show and, you know, we were just hanging
out afterwards. It was really, really cool. And everybody was like, wow, look at that.
And then people, you know, I posted a picture of it.
And people were like, man, that would be an awesome tour.
And I'm like, yeah, that would be an awesome tour.
You know, so I mean, hey, I've never had a chance to do a show with either one.
And maybe that would be something really cool to do.
I'll be there.
I, you know, I got excited just the idea of it.
I was like, hmm.
That'd be super fun.
I mean, you would need like a huge arena
i mean you're doing you know stadium fluffy dodger stadium of to get those three people in the room
you're gonna need a you know i don't i don't even know a venue like the world cup or something like
that nice they're gonna have to build something for you all right um now okay here's something
have you ever auditioned for something that we don't know about that you didn't get that you're willing to share with us?
Oh, man.
I've auditioned for a lot of things.
I mean, there's…
I think what's bigger is the fact that I got it, but then I didn't take it.
Ooh, okay.
So, I did an audition for an animated film many years ago.
And they liked me for the part.
They said, you're in.
They didn't really have full funding yet.
And so the plan was they were going to give me like $700 to do the thing.
And then potential back end.
You know, if it grossed over so much money.
And at the time, my manager was like, you know what?
You got these gigs on the road.
They're going to pay you, you know,
20 times that movie, whatever.
You know, go out and make that real money versus, you know, sitting around here for 700 bucks.
And so I passed on it.
I passed on the film and I went on the road
and I made my instant money.
And the movie that I passed on was Happy Feet.
Oh, no. Yeah, I was not happy. I passed on the role. And, you know, who got it was Robin Williams.
Yeah. Once there was funding, you know, he didn't do it for 700. No, no, no, no. He didn't do it for
700. On the strength. Yeah, no. And then, of course, the movie grossed over 100 million dollars
and there was a sequel. And it just continued to just be that thorn in my side for like you know way to go and I've done
that twice by the way I've done that twice where I had a sure thing and I I wound up like stepping
out and it bit me you know the other film that I did um I was lucky enough that they called me
back for another part but I had originally gotten the co-starring part in the movie Planes.
Oh, really?
Yeah, yeah.
The sequel to Cars.
And so, yeah, I had gotten, you know, I was the co-star in the movie.
I was the mater of the film, basically.
Yeah.
And what happens is I had work on the road, and the film company, they told me, you know, hey, don't even worry about it.
We'll have someone fill in for you at the table read.
Don't worry when you get back, the part will be here.
Well, when you have somebody fill in for you at a table read, you don't send in a ringer.
You don't send in a pro.
You send in the janitor.
So, yeah, you send in somebody who's just going to read the line, not someone who's going to perform it.
And so Carlos Ellis Rocky, who's been doing voiceovers and
comedy forever yeah uh he was actually the original voice of the taco bell chihuahua oh wow he went in
and he destroyed the part and they're like wow this guy's here and the other guy clearly isn't
taking it serious he's out there on the road and so they wound up giving him the part oh wow and
so they wound up calling me and saying hey your, your part's gone, but there's still some parts in the film.
And I wound up playing Ned and Zed in the movie.
Oh, wow.
But yeah, I was just like, oh.
I was like, no.
So now I learned my lesson.
From now on, if you're going to sign on to do anything, you got to be there from the get and then give it your all the whole time.
Because it's never for sure until it comes out in theaters.
Yeah.
Next time, just send me.
I'll do terrible.
Guaranteed.
Nice.
I'll be awful.
They'll be calling for you.
Can you read it in Spanish?
Hola.
¿Cómo está?
So we do this thing on The Woody Show.
And it's called What You Watching.
Is there any shows that you want to shout out
that you're watching or anything that you love to watch?
Let me tell you what I just binge watched.
I saw a show on Netflix called Don't Answer the Phone.
And it's four episodes.
And man, it's intense.
If you're into like crime documentaries
and stuff like that,
or just, you know,
whenever there's a crazy story
on the news, you're like,
ooh, this is one of those.
It's an old story,
but it's very detailed
and it hooks you once you watch it.
So yeah, don't answer the phone.
Don't answer the phone.
Don't answer the phone.
Yeah, that one is a big one.
And also too, I just finished watching the, what is it?
Sally.
God, what's her name?
It's on Netflix.
Something Sally.
And then of course, Wednesday, which I think the whole planet watched.
Okay, I found it.
It's called Killer Sally.
Killer Sally.
It was bugging me that I didn't know the name of that thing. It's about a
female bodybuilder who killed
her bodybuilder husband.
It's just, yeah. They're saying
it was road rage, but no, I think she was just pissed.
Really? Is it based
on a true story? Yes. Oh, okay. Yes.
Oh, wow. All right. So it follows her whole
story all the way to, you know,
because clearly she was a killer, so she wound up in prison, and it follows her story all the way through prison, and then she gets out. Oh, wow. All right. And so it follows her whole story all the way to, you know, because clearly she was a killer. So she wound up in prison and it follows her story all the way through prison.
And then she gets out.
Oh, wow.
So, yeah.
And in the beginning, you're like, oh, that poor thing.
And in the end, you're like, yeah, I think she's, you know.
Maybe allegedly.
Maybe this was a thing.
So.
All right.
Now, throughout the country right now, the weather is terrible.
There was a ton of flight cancellations everywhere on the road.
Have you ever had a situation where you've had to cancel a show because of weather?
There was. And what's interesting is that, yeah, we did.
But it was we had two shows. We had two shows.
And because of weather, we had to fly into a different airport.
It was in northern California. I forget the name of the city, but we we had to fly into a different airport. It was in Northern California.
I forget the name of the city, but we were set to fly into that city, but the weather was really
bad. So we had to fly into San Francisco and then we rented a car. So the weather was too bad for
flying, but clearly, you know, a bunch of knuckleheads in an SUV were like, well, we'll make it.
Oh, wow. And so of course the city was not, you know, everybody in the community was at the venue.
They didn't care. You know, we'll find community was at the venue. They didn't care.
You know, we'll find a way to get there.
We didn't make it in time for the first show, but we had two shows that night.
So first show didn't happen.
Second show did.
But yeah, we did it SUV.
And I mean, it was a it was I wish we could have recorded that.
Actually, a good follow up on that.
I don't know if it was the time of Twitter.
I mean, do you go on Twitter after shows and read feedback?
Or do you just like don't pay attention to it?
Twitter's gotten interesting ever since Elon took it over
just because I want to see what's going on now.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, every night after the shows,
I always just go on social media
and just kind of just peek and see if anybody made a comment.
You know, because I always like to just get the instant feedback
of like, all right, maybe I shouldn't have done that or something that stands out.
I'm always looking for something that someone didn't like, you know.
I'm always looking for those things.
Is it doom scrolling though?
Are you looking for the negative?
I'm looking for something that maybe because I'll take chances in my set.
I'll take chances with certain bits. And that's what I'm looking for, to maybe because I'll take chances in my set. I'll take chances with certain bits.
And that's what I'm looking for to see how those bits were received.
And so if somebody makes a comment about that, then I'm like, okay, I thought that I said something that was a little questionable.
I'm not looking for, oh, you know, the show was horrible.
I'm never coming back.
Because that tells me nothing.
Yeah.
I'm looking for specific details about something that stood out to someone
that kind of maybe rubbed them a little bit wrong.
You know, in the early days, I'm like,
I'm going to fight on Twitter all day with this guy.
Yeah, I was getting into it too.
But again, now I look for specifics.
If you're going to tell me you hate me, tell me why.
If you're going to tell me why I suck, tell me why.
Be specific.
Give me an exact detailed thing that I can read
into and be like, all right, let me see. Because you know what? Hey, at the end of the day, the
fans are the ones that, you know, they're the ones that come out to the shows or the ones that buy
the tickets or the ones that support and watch the Netflix shows and stuff like that. So I want
to make sure that I'm putting the right thing out there and not everyone's going to be vocal.
And so I do appreciate constructive criticism. But yeah yeah somebody that's just you suck or i wish you were gone that tells you that
tells me nothing that's just you know but give me something that's like all right yeah and then
maybe i can hear you and maybe i can be like okay all right oh and i'm saying i'm gonna reply to it
but i will i'll i'll be like okay it's so it's so hard for me not to reply sometimes um okay
now let me ask here.
I did see that you were at a food spot the other night in Las Vegas.
Is there any food spots that you'd like to shout out?
Well, the one that I saw you shout out, it was…
I don't remember the full name, but it was 808, I believe.
Oh, was it Island Flavor?
Yes.
Hawaiian food.
Yes.
It's one of my favorite restaurants.
Every time we come into town, we want to go and support and hit it up.
It's off the strip.
Amazing food.
You leave there and you just want a pillow.
You want a pillow and you want to go to bed.
So that place definitely is really, really good.
I like going to places off the strip because everything that's here on the strip, of course,
you know, award winning or just there's a certain name attached to it.
There's a Mexican restaurant.
One of my favorite Mexican
restaurants here in Vegas is actually not on the strip. It's in the kind of like in the back area.
It's like it's literally attached to the Sapphire Strip Club. Nice. Yes. Good location. And so the
first time it's like, you know, we're looking online to find something to eat after hours.
And we found this Mexican restaurant.
I'm like, well, how good can they be? They're open 24 hours. I'm like, all right. And so I
started looking at pictures and I'm like, hey, that looks pretty good. And so we're like, all
right, let's take a drive. And it's, you know, literally five minutes away from the hotel in the
back. So you got to drive in the back of the hotel. And the address is showing the Sapphire
Strip Club. And I'm like, man, somebody's messing with me. We're at a strip club.
And then you see a tiny little door.
I want to say 10 feet away from the main entrance of the strip club.
And I want to say it's called the Diablo Cantina Mexican restaurant.
And it is some of the best Mexican food I've had.
And I strongly recommend it.
Just look for the Sapphire Strip Club.
It'll be right there. The biggest strip club in Vegas. And the Mexican restaurant is attached recommend it. Just look for the Strap, you know, Sapphire Strip Club. It'll be right there.
The biggest strip club in Vegas.
And the Mexican restaurant is attached to it.
Okay.
I'm definitely going to check that out.
I'm down.
And they're 24 hours.
Is there anything that you do want to announce 2023 that we have not talked about?
For 2023, I mean, right now I'm just getting a new show put together.
And so, you know, I'm going back to the clubs.
I miss the clubs and I wanted to go back and just, that's where I find that I'm most comfortable and I can be creative and I can take chances.
Whereas in an arena, you know, people are paying for a solid show.
So it's hard to go out there and try new stuff out because then people are like, really?
You know, whereas at a club, the pressure is not there.
So if I want to do an hour of solid material
and 30 minutes of Q&A or just having fun with the crowd,
no one gets mad about it.
This is actually cool.
All right.
Well, Fluffy, I already took a bunch of your time.
It's New Year's Eve.
And I'm sure you're going to head back home.
Yeah.
You know what?
I was offered to stay here in vegas uh through new
years and man i i think that's that's just me being getting older you know it's like i don't
want to deal with it it's crazy i remember as a kid going man that'd be cool to be in vegas or
new york you know when the ball drops and like yeah and like oh and now i'm like that's a lot
of people that's you know i'm gonna wind up getting the flu it's like that i get stuck in traffic or what if you know we fly they cancel i. That's, you know, I'm going to wind up getting the flu. It's like, then I get stuck in traffic or whatever.
You know, we fly, they cancel.
I mean, there's so many variables.
So I'm going to, you know, I'm going to dip right before New Year's.
So I have my show tonight and then I'm out.
I'm not going to go home.
I'm going to stay with my dogs.
I'll probably watch the New Year's thing on TV.
I'm going to go see Gwen Stefani here.
I usually come to Vegas for New Year's, but I'm
not out on the streets or in a club or
anything like that. I always go to a
show. So I'll see Gwen Stefani
and then immediately right
at 12.01, I'll
be back in the hotel room. Nice.
In bed, sleeping. Yeah.
There were talks about going
to see Gwen Stefani. So I'm
going to flex on you a little bit. Okay. Instead of Gwen Stefani, So I'm going to flex on you a little bit.
Okay.
Instead of Gwen Stefani, we're actually going to go see Adele.
Oh, damn.
Never mind.
I'll find someone like her.
Okay.
All right.
We're going to go see Adele.
And then I have my show.
Yeah, because Adele's show is at 8 and then my show is at 10.
Nice.
And then since I have openers, I can have them stretched.
I can stay for the whole Adele show.
Oh, that's dope.
Okay, you did flex.
I'm excited.
I'm excited.
And Gwen's what?
At Zappos?
Where's she at?
She's at the Venetian.
Oh, shoot.
She's right across the street.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Both of them.
Adele's next door at Caesars.
And then, you know, Gwen's at Venetian.
Yeah, at all three.
Venetian, by the way, has an amazing Asian noodle restaurant.
I just thought I'd shout them out.
First night we were here, we went across the street.
We were open until 3 a.m.
Badass.
They got this noodle bowl called a Dan Dan.
Dan Dan?
Dan Dan.
Spicy noodles.
Oh, my God.
I'm going to go get that before I leave.
Oh, and they have Dan Dan noodles here at the Wynn.
Oh.
Okay.
Shout out.
Shout out.
Dan Dan at the Wynn.
Let's go.
Get you some.
All right.
All right, man. So much fun, dude. I got your
Transformers question in there, Bort, for you. I appreciate it. I was going to say I'm a little
hurt that I wasn't there for it, but you know, I do appreciate that you were at least thinking of
me to ask it. I know we got to get them in a movie, man. That'd be huge. And us. And us as
well. Us. Maybe that'll redeem the experience we had at that one
transformers movie where we felt like we got concussed from it true true all right well again

You guys want some food news real quick?
Oh, yeah.
There's Tyler.
All right.
FIFA investigating how Salt Bae crashed the Argentina World Cup celebration.
So bad.
Those videos are crazy.
So bad.
I haven't even seen this.
I wanted to go to a Salt Bae restaurant, but the amount of disrespect.
I don't think I can do it now.
What happened?
Okay, for someone that hasn't watched it, what happened?
So this dude, Salt Bae, you know who he is, right, Brett? Yeah, on Instagram. what happened like okay for someone that hasn't watched it what happened so this
dude this dude salt bae you know you know who he is though right Brett yeah
honest okay so yeah like okay yeah so like he somehow ends up on the field on
like during the celebration the world Argentina just won they just they just
won the cup the World Cup and this is like monumental not only for the world
but Argentina itself Messi finally gets the World Cup and all of a sudden Salt but you see Salt Bae just kind of like finagling his
way into photos and not only like okay whatever dude you're a celebrity probably figure out how
to get your way onto a field during a trophy celebration but not only is he taking photos
with these mega soccer superstars kind of aggressive yeah very aggressive kind of taking
the the he took the trophy away from a couple different players
in the photos,
and then he's trying to get them to do his little wrist
Salt Bae slogan, little hand thing over the World Cup.
And you can tell in these videos,
these soccer players are like,
what the F is this dude doing out in the field right now?
Okay, it's messed up,
but at the same time,
it kind of sounds like a Randy move to me.
Randy would do that? Oh yeah, totally.
He'd be like, oh, is this cup for
keepsies? No, you gotta watch the video.
No way would Randy. This guy was
pretty aggressive, dude. I don't know, man.
There was a couple times in studio where we saw
Randy, me and Eric. Randy would make a
beeline for somebody, and we're like,
did he just? But to take a photo, but to take a trophy, a World Cup trophy out of somebody's hand.
Have you?
We had, we literally had the World Series baseball trophy here in the building.
And there was a moment where Randy was looking at it going, I wonder if I could pick this up.
I wonder if I could.
Well, that would have been a terrible idea.
I don't know.
It sounds like it to me.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt
because, okay, if he's at the studio saying,
oh, I wonder if I could pick this up,
at least there's no players there.
At least it's not like immediately
after they won the championship.
I can't see it.
Okay, we all know how massive a Packers fan he is, right?
I can't see him being on the field right after the Packers won the Super Bowl
and trying to hold the trophy,
like literally trying to take it away from Aaron Rodgers.
Like, I don't see that happening.
This is also a result of our own creation.
People were swinging from Salt Bae's nuts for so long,
and they gave him this sense of entitlement dude and now see
man see but then he you suck from the teat too long and you got aggressive and now you're gonna
get canceled yeah true now now i can't go to his restaurant so i'm skipping exactly six billion
more restaurants for you you'll be fine i guarantee so many people have that same idea they're like
well f salt bay salt bay is not cool anymore. No, for real. No, I see the hate online.
Alright, how about this?
Del Taco brings back fan favorite
orange cream shake
after eight years. Are you into
orange cream? I don't like orange cream
soda. Not my fave.
Not the soda, but I like orange cream
ice cream and shakes. Yeah.
I mean, I'm not really into it.
Look, I'm going to try it. Don't get me wrong. I'm not really. Yeah, I'll have it. Yeah. Look, I'm going to try it.

just search the Woody Show on the iHeartRadio
app Tyler do you have anything to say
before we leave we mentioned obviously
earlier everything that happened in the Mondayay night football game with tamar hamlin uh one other
thing uh he does have a toy drive that people have been donating ridiculous amounts of money
to ever since that happened millions uh yeah it was uh only supposed to be a goal of two thousand
five hundred dollars it's now past six and a half million um if anybody does actually want to
go out there and donate i'm not even gonna lie like i went out and threw up a couple bucks myself
i just i didn't really feel like there was anything else i could do besides just pray
because i think everybody else was super freaked out that we all saw that national tv did you um
but you guys did you guys see that chrisicho donated $5,000 twice?
Spelled his name wrong.
So he redid it and gave another $5,000.
It was Chris Jericho and Russ Jericho.
Nice.
Yeah, that was pretty good.
Shout out to Chris Jericho.
If anybody else wants to donate, though,
all you do is just type in DeMar Hamlin uh damar hamlin and uh gofundme right after
there's a bunch of articles with links to the gofundme if you guys want to donate a couple bucks
that's awesome eric anything to say um yeah you know i always hate piggybacking off of tyler but
this is kind of the big thing going around um but if you've made it this far it's honestly the you
know damar hamlin is the big thing right now, but the first responders
that basically saved this dude's life.
It's a testament to go get CPR certified.
I was CPR certified for about five years.
I'm technically not because my certificate ran out,
but I probably could jump in
and maybe handle the business
until somebody who's really professionally trained
gets CPR certified, can save a life.
We talked about that on the Woody show.
Yeah, man. If anybody is, and i think i should definitely do that and i don't want to keep on saying that i should do that i should do that and then be put in a situation because i never did
it people think you know i could you know if somebody dropped you could do it um there's some
science behind it and it's not a tedious thing um you have to put pressure you have to break ribs
you have to start at heart.
So if you can get offered most of the time, it's free. It's good to save a life, dude. It's really
it's it's good to know how to do it because you never know. My my buddy, he he had to save his
mom's life once CPR certified saved her life in his kitchen. So that's awesome. Do it. It could
go a long way. All right, Brett. I mean, I don't want to change the vibe after that, but.
No, do it.
Yeah, definitely change it.
Today was Wrestle Kingdom in Japan for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
And my favorite.
Oh, I know where this is going.
The cleaner, the best bat machine, Kenny Omega has regained his IWGP US Heavyweight Championship.
I did not know where that was going.
I was saying that because Kenny Omega is the greatest pro wrestler alive.
He is the top pro wrestler in AEW.
It was a huge thing with different promotions coming together in Japan.
I was super stoked, super excited.
I was happy to see him win.
And it may have happened at like 4 o'clock this morning,
so I was keeping up with it.
Nice.
Congrats to Kenny Omega.
All right.
Wait. Do I get a shout out? We can tease it. Wait, wait. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Wait. four o'clock this morning so i was keeping up with it nice congrats to kenny omega all right wait
do i get a shout out we can we can tease it wait hold on hold on wait brett menace oh i i mean i
didn't know you wanted to tease it necessarily i did get woken up by a phone call from menace
yesterday uh shout out to uh menace because we have a special guest that will be joining us on the podcast very soon. Yes, in a couple weeks.
In studio. Yes?
Yes. Oh, even
better. Sarah
Nadecheny, the voice actress
who is the voice
of Ash Ketchum!
Yes!
We'll be a
guest on the podcast coming up
very soon and shout out to Menace for locking this down.
I know.
That's pretty sick.
That's pretty dope.
You hit me up.
You're like, hey, you follow the voice of Ash Kashum?
I was like, yeah.
Because she has these really cool videos on how she breaks down, how she does the voice and things like that.
Right.
I go, I could probably reach out to her and see if she's in town.
And then guess what? She hit me back and she said, i'll be in town i'll roll through so you'll be conducting the interview but no dude that that is amazing because not only is she the
current voice of ash ketchum but like she so she is the second voice of Ash Ketchum, right? But she has been the voice longer than anybody else, obviously.
And she is the voice of the last over 15 years of Ash,
leading up to Ash's final journey this year,
to him becoming world champion,
but also his final days on the anime Pokemon.
So we could talk to her about that.
We could talk to her about her journey in voice acting.
We could talk to her about becoming Ash Ketchum,
how the fans reacted to it.
We could just ask her random Pokemon questions.
Who's your favorite Pokemon?
Tell us.
We know you have a favorite one.
Is it Pikachu?
Are you lying?
What is it?
So very exciting.
Earth shattering.
Pikachu sucks.
Wouldn't that suck?
Yeah, so basically we will be shooting
video of it as well
and you'll probably
see me for a split
second and I'll be
all bored
hey welcome to
what's new
