What's new, what's new with Menace? What's up everybody and welcome to the What's New Podcast with Menace. I am Menace. I'm joined alongside with Bort, a.k.a. Brett. He is an audio expert and syndication expert for the Woody Show, Boring Show across the United States and around the world on AFN, the military network on the Freedom Channel. Also, we have Randy, who is the video guy for the Woody Show Morning Show. He also goes and grabs us food whenever we want it on demand. It's awesome.

We don't need Uber Eats or DoorDash or anything like that. We have Randy, who drives a Prius, which gets 54 miles to the gallon. I love it. He's also a radio DJ himself. What stations are you on, Randy? Alt-106-1, Crab Radio in Bakersfield, and Alt-98-7 in Los Angeles. And we have Tyler, the board op, who runs the radio station for The Woody Show on Alt-98-7 in Los Angeles and Orange County.

What's up, Nick? What's up, Menace? Now, I'm sorry, everybody. We usually release a podcast every Tuesday. My dog was sick and almost died, but I found out there's a thing called a dog ambulance that we used. We took her to multiple vets and carted her around. And guess what?

She is all good. So I want to give a big, big shout out to Media City Animal Hospital in Burbank, California. Also, Pets to Vets. They are the transport service that took her to the other hospital, which is to care for pets in Studio City, California. And I got to tell you guys, once again, I tell you all the time, have pet insurance. All this ordeal with my dog, Chimmy, costs $6,300. All happened within five hours.

That amount of money just went out the window. But I get 90% of it back thanks to Healthy Paws Health Insurance. I don't care what health insurance you get for your dog. Just have it. That's the one that I use. And speaking about health, we also postponed our podcast because Bort, a.k.a. Brett, has been sick for the past couple of days. And he's been blaming another person in this room because of that. Yep.

A hundred percent. And what happened, Brett? Bort. All right. So and I'm going to need Nick Soundwave to chime in on this. Okay. What happened? You're still not even a hundred percent.

No, I'm about at 50% right now. I'm slowly getting better. Even my podcast is put back a week. So here's what happened. Mr. Randy. That's me. That guy over there. He was in the production room for two weeks sick.

He was slowly sniffling, coughing, sneezing. So he didn't try to avoid other people and tell them, oh, I'm sick. No, he didn't avoid people at all. Instead of quarantining himself, he actually came and hung out with us more. You're welcome for that. And I've been telling you. You're welcome.

Okay. For what? Vaccines. The way vaccines work is they put a dead virus into you, and your body learns to fight that virus. I'm getting you sick right now. So he inserted a virus into you and your body learns to fight that virus. I'm getting you sick right now. So he inserted a virus into you. Menace gets it because come wintertime, when everybody else is sick, you're going to be strong.

Randy, do you know the difference? No, he sneezes all over the desk where Eric eats on that side of the desk, which is away from all the computers, does not wipe it down, does not use hand sanitizer. And when he started to use tissues, he started to use them as a basketball, throwing them over the desk into the trash.

I don't recall any moments where I threw them at you. He threw a wadded up snot ball rag up and over me like he was shooting a three-pointer from the other side of the room. Up and over me, a cascade of snot rags. You guys act like it's raining bacteria confetti or something. I stand by what I said. Now, back to Nick Soundwave. Nick Soundwave is fine. I don't see him

sick. And if anything, I was closer to Nick Soundwave the whole time. Forget him sick. That's radiation on your immune system. Wow. Here's an idea. And you can attest to this because he's already mentioned this a few times. Brett has made the observation that he's been continuously losing weight.

And he tells me he's been eating, not necessarily junk, but you've been eating consistently. I like that I just told you this 10 minutes ago and now this is your new defense. You are not menace excuse generating. You are sea bass excuse generating. Stop talking for a second. That's the next level. He's been eating nonstop. I've never seen Brett drink any water.

It's always Diet Coke or some sort of energy drink or something. And he's feeling sick. I don't know, man. He said it himself. Either I'm losing weight or I'm sick with something. Oh, he's saying nutrition is the issue. I'm afraid. I'm afraid.

Think about it. When did I say I was sick with something? Nick Soundwave works out every single day. He's running up mountains and doing backflips and stuff. But, you know, Brett over here is just eating garbage. But Brett has told you that he takes long walks. So you can't throw that in his face. Well, that's true.

Yeah, but the nutrition, that's a good angle right there. That's a good angle. Do you see a water bottle on that side over there? I'm not trying to deflect. I'm not trying to deflect. I am just worried for Brett's well-being. That's all. And I figure if I get him sick now, come wintertime when everybody else is sick, him and I will be the last ones standing.

Tyler's going to be the first one to fall, that's for sure. Why? Why do I have to do with this? Tyler sweats in an air-conditioned building. What does that have to do with anything? It's always the number one observation. All right. Well, just a heads up.

This is a sound good go to a rave. What's the next one? He sent over two of them. And I was like... Oh, yeah. I'm like at GDC. Seriously, man. I'm like... It's okay. I want to put this in my gym.

You should mix it. It was good. It's good. So, Nick, you're doing better, but Miles just want to have a little fun with it. It's okay. Well, at least it got content out of it. That's right. That's right.

That's literally Randy's entire experience on the air. Yeah, true. Bugger my world. So next up on our agenda is the iHeart Radio Festival that's happening in Las Vegas, Nevada. And it's September 20th and 21st but on the 22nd we've been talking about this probably for eight podcasts by now yeah the idea of everybody getting pizza tattoos yes and we said last podcast to all the people that are listening to this that want to get tattoos as well in the city that they're listening from that we're going to do it at 10 a.m on the 22nd but it has changed because we change venues on where we're getting

our tattoos so it's going to happen at 11 a.m now i was the one that coordinated everything right and i'm not mad but a lot of people deviated from the original idea that we're going to go with something small and quick the part that I was mad at is I was the one that had to set up all the appointments. And can we take a guess who messed up their submission for their appointment in this room? Hmm. Okay. Okay. I don't know because I'm afraid I did.

Okay. Randy thinks it's himself. That's a good guess. The last time I was so dead set at not being me, I got got by the likes. So I'm really hesitant to say not me anymore. Bort? Dumbass Tyler. Oh! Hold on. So this is what's happened. So I'm coordinating. It takes all day long because you have to put down deposits. You have to work out all the times. And this is the day that we're leaving the iHeartRadio Festival.

So I want to make sure that we're not there all day. And, of course, people deviated and got much larger tattoos than we were supposed to get, which I'm not mad at. Just FYI. What was the size that we were supposed to get? Well, remember, we said something small and quick. Brett got a whole sleeve. Yeah.

I did not get a sleeve. But I sent links to everybody. Okay, submit everything. Well, guess which dumbass didn't put artwork where it says, upload a piece of the artwork that you want to get. That would be Tyler. So the guy, the guy's like,

yeah. Um, so I got everything, but yeah, this one guy, Tyler, he didn't send me any artwork, so I can't even do any calculations on how long it's going to take.

So, okay. Thank you. Now, because of that, we get to choose your tattoo. Okay. So you text me about that. You text me or you call me.

It was one of the two. Yeah. I looked at my email, and as soon as I saw it, I immediately responded to the guy, and I fixed it. I said, hey, that's my bad. Yeah. So the tattoos are happening on that Sunday. I've been posting a lot of different pizza tattoos

up on the What's New Pod Instagram page at what's new pod so if you want to check those out those aren't the tattoos that we're getting but i was just sharing some fun ones i really like the ship one with the with the pizza sales that was pretty i uh i've been getting non-stop pigeon with pizza yeah no i've been i've got more sent to me i got a pigeon with a pizza chain but uh truthfully yeah i'll admit the tattoo that I chose is one of the tattoos that Menace posted. You broke the size then. That was you. No, I told you. The one that I chose, I thought it was okay as a small tattoo. And he said, well, we're probably going to do a half inch bigger. Yeah. I mean, obviously, we're not going to know until we're there in regards to how many people are going to be tattooed at once. Yeah. Do we have an idea as to what the order is going to be? Who's going to go first? I know that I'm going to go first because I stuck to the plan and did something quick and easy. And then, yeah, I have the schedule. I don't want to give it all away just yet.

Sounds good. Last week on the podcast, I revealed that if you listen to the Woody Show Morning Show, I am now part of a fan duel competition with Ravy. And I know nothing about football that's right so week one i did lose because i didn't understand the rules apparently and i want to get your guys feedback on this because there was a lot of drama so just to let you know what happened is i thought in this fan duel competition that we were doing on air between myself and ravey that we did our picks and you couldn't deviate from those picks so i did my initial picks which you can see at the woody show on instagram and the week one i messed up and i didn't know that one guy was suspended and he couldn't play and then i messed up and i picked the jaguars versus the Chiefs on my defense pick,

which still I don't even understand what that is. But apparently you're not supposed to do that. Well, the rules say on regular FanDuel that you can change everything up to last minute. I thought the radio rules is, hey, it's a big thing on air. We reveal our picks. You don't change anything. So I go, okay, well, I made some mistakes. I'm just going to have to roll the dice.

Ravy didn't say anything at all about being able to change my picks. So since you guys are super into this, I just want to know, do you think that she cheated or didn't cheat when it came to this competition? And I'm moving forward. I know that I can change my picks now, but I stated on air that I'm going to make my picks. I'm going to give them out on air. I will only change something if somebody gets hurt

and they're not going to play. But in the week one, do you agree that she cheated or she didn't cheat? For this instance, you pretty much have to lock your picks on thursday because of the radio bit and yeah you don't want to change up oh here's another picture of of another version two of the lineup and stuff like that because greg was on my side he goes well what's the point of even giving out my picks on the air if i'm able to change them at any time because then i could have a complete different lineup than what i gave out on the air you know i was gonna say it was a miscommunication.

But now that you put it that way, I actually tend to agree with you. Yeah, that's what I was going by. Why are you going to announce your picks on Thursday slash Friday if you want to be secretive about it and just change everything at the last second? Then what was the point of the whole bit? Yeah. So I get that. Look, I mean, I'll take the L, but I just want to know, am I a complete dumbass for not changing anything? I thought we were going by the radio bit rules.

As someone who has the nickname dumbass, I will clear you of that. Okay, so you're good. Yeah, I mean, again, completely new to this. I have no idea on how it works. As someone who is not into any of this whatsoever, has no concept of this, I do understand the rules of

if we're going to say it, we're sticking to it, and that's the way it's going to be. And I also understand the rules of if someone really wants to win, they're not going to tell you the rules, and they're going to cheat. And I know she's going to listen to this. Ravy, you cheated. You should have let him know. Oh, damn. She doesn't like that. Sorry. I wouldn't necessarily say she cheated.

I just think. No, hold on. No, no, no. Hear me out here. She's played this for so long that it's sort of an afterthought sort of thing. So when you play fantasy football for this long, you don't think about that. It's always just kind of like. Ravy.

It's just the knowledge you know. She even said it. But real quick. But real quick. It was brought up on air immediately. Like, hey, this guy suspended. Oh, hey, this guy. That's a bad pick because the Jaguars are playing the Chiefs. I just thought, like, look, I'm locked in.

I have to play these picks that I picked. Yeah, no, I'm saying, like, I get why she would forget that. But then also, it's something you've got to bring up once it's there. Once it's questioned? Yeah, like, the first thing you've got to notice is, wait, this guy's suspended. Oh, you should probably change him. The whole thing of, oh, he's suspended and just leaving it at that, that's a bit faulty.

That's a little sketchy. So what you're saying is, Ravy cheated. Oh, he's afraid to say it. Look at that. Look, guys. I'm Switzerland. I'm Switzerland. We are at greed level pandering right now.

I am Switzerland. It's okay. Again, I'll take the L. There's already a new lineup that I posted for my week two. Now it's up at the Woody Show. And again, I'm not going to deviate. I'm going to keep it real. It's at the Woody Show on Instagram.

I'm not going to change anything, but I do want your feedback. Don't tell me you need changes. Change that. I want your feedback on what do you think of my lineup versus Ravy lineup this week. If you want some immediate feedback, you do have some diversity this week as compared to last week. So it looks a little bit better. You look better this week. But am I going to take another L is what I want to know.

That's what I'm worried about because I personally had no idea who Gary Jennings was. Yeah. So that one's kind of like a mystery pick yeah if you want to see it go to at the woody show on instagram ravey's team doesn't seem mega strong but i'm afraid that the gary jennings and the the dj shark pick might be detrimental in your favor i think because i don't know how fan duel works or how high it costs to draft someone yeah but there's some pretty good solid rookies right now like yeah i run out of money pretty quick though dk metcalf he's a rookie on the seahawks yeah that's what happens when you pick like patrick mahomes and stuff because he's he's a lock for you know a couple touchdowns each

week so he's obviously going to cost a little more so when you toss out patrick mahomes i think chris carson was like 7 500 so when you lock up a bunch of money on those two players, it's going to be a little tough to fill out those third wide receiver flex. Nick Soundwave, am I going to take an L this week? It's not as concrete of an L as you were last week. So you have definitely a better chance this week. I have a chance. You have a chance this week.

Last week it was a little rough, but I think you have a chance this week. Because honestly, I think she has Ben, right? Yeah. So I mean, I think the Steelers can kind of flop. And she has George Washington. So if the Steelers flop, there's her QB and one of her wide receivers kind of struggling out of the gate, and her team's already behind the eight ball. I did some research. I'm pretty sure Nick Soundway

said George Washington. George Washington? It's James Washington. What's wrong with their founding fathers, man? Yeah, I know. He's drafting the first president of the United States. Oh, damn. And it's put on by Bobby hundreds of hundreds clothing brand. And we thought we would hit up Bobby hundreds to talk about it. He's on the phone right now. What's up, Bobby? How's it going guys? And we'll get to that in a second. But the reason that I reached out to you online was you're part of a food festival that's happening in Los Angeles, September 15th. And I like food. Yes. Big fan of it. And I want to make sure people know about it. So how did you get this thing started? It's called the Family Style Food Festival or Food Fest. That's right. Yeah, we're not just part of it. We're throwing this thing. The idea came about largely because, you know, I talk about this at length in my book really the takeaway message is about the importance of community and you know after 15 16

years of doing the hundreds which is our brand we really came to this understanding that the power of this thing was centered around bringing people together the more we bring people together the more that we have been able to connect historically what has brought people together like nothing has brought people together more than food right like food has been used to you know be the conduit for like a romantic date all the way to like a business negotiation to like you know bring warring nations together yeah it's funny that it's funny that you say that because on the woody show morning show which we are part of, we do a segment called Food News.

And it's the only segment where it's universal. Everybody has to eat. Not everybody likes a certain band. Not everybody has the same idea when it comes to politics or places where people live. He did not preview it with me. He's new to adulting as well.

And so recently I got the 100s Garfield shirt collab, and that's what I've wanted for a really, really long time. And the one thing I have to ask is, in order to properly care for these shirts,

what's the best thing to do? Don't throw them in the dryer and hang dry and use cold water. How about just don't wash your clothes? Yeah. Dude, I can't tell you how... All right. Let's be real here for a second. I can't tell you how many shirts I have where I'm like,

oh, it's not too dirty. Randy, how old are you? I'm 23. He's 23. He just started washing his own clothes. Why? Come on. I have a good friend.

Or not washing them. I have a good friend who has a clothing brand. His name is Joshy D. It's Rebel 8. And he's probably giving me like 900 shirts over the past, I don't know, seven, eight years since i've known them and yeah of course you just the best thing is always to hang hang your shirts never dry them yeah i i can't tell you how many big hundreds things i had from the that mega letterman jacket i had that was back in high school i love that so much and then also we are uh large gentlemen that's why we called you

Yeah, I don't know that much about it, but from the trailer I've seen, it looks pretty interesting. And considering we work in media, I'm always interested in shows about that. Okay, so it's Steve Carell, right? Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon is in it, correct? Heavy hitters.

Heavy hitters. Heavy hitters. It should be really, really good. Now, they announced that it's happening November 1st. It's going to be $4.99 a month for the streaming service. But if you buy some new hardware, an iPhone, an iPad, a desktop computer or laptop, you'll get the streaming service for one year for free. Nick Soundwavewave are you into anything um well i mean i i mean outside of my mac and you know my apple watch and iphone all

that stuff i do buy it but i'm not one of the guys who's here to the ground kind of stuff although i am happy when new models come out because that means older models will drop in price hell yeah i am in the market for a new computer soon so i keep getting that damn startup disc full message so oh that's the worst get a new computer yeah. So I keep getting that damn startup disc full message. So I need to get a new computer soon. Hard drives also help with that. A lot of us in this room are into Apple watches and I'm not really juiced for the new Apple watch. It's like better display.

That's it. Now, Tyler and Bort in the room do not have Apple watches. We need to get them on Apple watches. So if I buy a new one, one of you guys need to fight for it. Fight to the death. Fight to the death. We're all friends on the activity app on the Apple Watch, which tracks all our working out. And I don't know, Nick Salwaev, the guy that's been killing it, he's been kind of slipping lately. I just want to say that I haven't been seeing those rings close.

I have been slacking a little bit lately because with my fiance, she doesn't get home until a little later. So sometimes my gym regimen is a little out of whack. So I'll go a little lighter during the day expecting to go later and then she'll be get home and we go for a run

instead of like another workout session. So yeah, I have that. Slipping. But I mean, Randy's not even on the radar. That happens to me too, guys. I hate it.

Oh, yeah. What was the excuse last time? Oh, I'm sick. That's when he got everybody sick. But it's okay. You sound perfectly fine to me now. I'm getting used to the whole school, work, gym schedule. Oh, here we go.

No, but I've been doing small little things. I actually told Brett I lost six pounds this week, and it's because I've just not been eating a lot. Oh, wait a minute. No, no, no. I just haven't been eating a lot. Hold on. You lost six pounds, and you're eating poorly, and you're not exercising. Oh, eating poorly. Oh, wait a minute.

And they announced the Hella Mega Tour. That's Green Day, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and a couple of different cities that are going to have the Interrupters, who Randy is close friends with. He got to hang out with them in Bakersfield one day. Back at Free For All. Yeah. And a lot of songs were released.

We had Green Day's song. We had Fallout Boy's song and Weezer's song all released. Out of them all, which ones do you like the best? I like Fallout Boy's. It's fun. It's energetic. It's upbeat. Weezer's was surprisingly entertaining.

80s style guitar from it. Yeah. Green Day is growing on me. Yeah. That's not the same Green Day that I know. That was going to be my number one reaction. I'm going to tell you right now, I do love the Green Day. But when I first heard it, I'm like, who is this?

Yeah. I wish that we just straight up played it and didn't even tell anybody who it was because i was telling myself there would be no way that people would figure out that it was green day now i absolutely love it when i first heard it i go what is this you know what it sounds like to me is not green day but they have that other band called the foxborough hot tubs yeah that they sometimes play as and they released a couple albums as the foxborough hot Tubs. Yeah. That they sometimes play as. And they released a couple albums as the Foxborough Hot Tubs. It sounds more like that than Green Day. Now I want to share my one-minute interview with Green Day
