What's up everybody and welcome to another edition of What's New Pod? I am Menace. I'm joined by Bort, aka Brett. He's an audio expert and syndication expert. I'm going to take these out.

Hold on, I'm taking these out. And I'm abysol. They actually didn't sound that different to me. I know, but I'm in my own head about it. So it's okay. I get it. He's an audio expert and dedication expert with the Woody Show morning show that you can hear across the United States and around the world on the Woody Show podcast. We are joined today by our friend Tyler in studio once again.

Yeah. Yeah. Shout out Tyler. We're going to give you a really quick podcast today because I feel that we have been giving out some pretty solid podcast pretty consistently. Agreed. But we have quite a few things going on pulling the curtain back. Woody and Jeff are going to be leaving town pretty soon. So we got to prepare for that.

A lot of work to do. when that happens. We got to shift things around. Sammy's out down to you. She's out in Boston having a good time. Getting engaged, right? I don't know. It's weird that like,

everyone's like, oh, she's going to get engaged. She's going to get engaged when she went to go meet up with his family at Disneyland. You know, his family had like some big gathering. Yeah. I don't go, dude, no. Well, because grandma showed up. That's right. Yeah, because grandma was there.

I'm like, no, no. He hasn't been around her whole family yet. Guess where they're going to be around. around her extended family back in Boston. We'll see. laying the groundwork. They moved in. We'll see.

We'll see what's going on with that pretty soon. But real quick, this Saturday, don't forget, this Saturday, Baldwin Park. I'm going to be at WSS shoe store. Now, I'm going to be at the one on Baldwin Park Boulevard. Now, there's two WSS, so make sure you don't show up to the wrong one. I'm going to be at the one on Baldwin Park Boulevard from 1 to 3 p.m. this Saturday, August 1st. I can't wait to see you there.

Now, I don't know if you saw this, but Tyler, you got a little shout out in my social media posts yesterday on Instagram. Yes, I'm very well aware. Oh, yeah. So when Tyler went to, now everyone thinks I'm like serious when I'm ripping on you on this kind of stuff. We're not? It's just, well, I mean, I'm halfway serious about it. Of course, Tyler can't bring me back a wagon from Houston, a giant Bucky's wagon. Right. I mean, if he really wanted to and he really wanted to try to do it, he could, but I get it. It's kind of a pain in the ass to try to get this huge box wagon. You got to check it. You know, you got to make you a little extra effort. We understand. Honestly, it's more of that. Like, it's just a little more expensive to trust.

Like someone tagged me in a comment in your video. It's like, oh, you could a UPS that you could have FedEx and you get a DJ. Do you think I'm made of money? Like, what do you mean? Well, I mean, you think that we're made of money half the time. So yes, of course, they think you're as far as I am aware, you both make a very good chunk more than I do. So yeah, you kind of are compared to me. You kind of are made of money. He recently told me to get a hotel room so I didn't have to drive home from the studio one day. I said that jokingly. I was like, do I have $500?

You went to Warp Tour. Vaughn was there. I guess Vaughn was actually working because he put out like 40 different interviews. Dude, he met every single band there. Yes. I could not be more impressed with that. He absolutely killed it. Yeah, he did a great job.

Dude, I had an absolute blast. I went with some of my really good friends. We killed it for the three days we. were there because we stayed at a beach house right there on C.O. Beach. Oh, nice.

Who's talking about having money now? No, we have a couple connections. We have connections. Can't ship a wagon, huh? Yeah, a couple connections. But we're on a beach house at a three-day festival. Dude, beach house that we stayed there, so we were not too far. We just ubered over. Yeah. We do. We had a blast. That sounds pretty cool, though. It was really fun. And I felt so last year was the first year I had done warp tour. And I only did one day last year. I was dead after that day. This time around, I'm like, okay, we're bringing these type of shoes. These are the outfits we're going to wear. We're going to keep it like loose. We're going to keep it to, you know, the best sunscreen that I could get at the market. You prepare because he won to Coachella. Now you know how to do it right.

Yeah. So the only thing I did forget, I did forget to bring a bandana to kind of cover my neck. But shout out to the vans tents that were there because their bandanas were just five bucks and They were great. Nice. That's awesome. So I bought like four of them because I just wanted to keep two to like perfectly clean. I can't wait to get mine. But yeah, go ahead.

Look at this Safari boy, man. He walks into it every time. No. But who were some of the good bands that you saw? Dude, I saw, God, who didn't I see? I saw sleeping with sirens. I saw bowling for soup who I was so bad that I didn't see last year because they were on the second day. I saw Simple Plan.

I saw Third Eye Blind and they brought out Ryan from Ocean or, They brought out Ryan from Yellow Card and he did Ocean Avenue. That was great. We saw Hawthorne Heights. We saw, God, I'm trying to remember. Jim Class Heroes? Did see Jim Class Heroes. We saw Silverstein.

We saw The Used. We saw All Time Low. We saw Jimmy Eat World. We saw like everybody that was there. And I just had a blast. I even went out to one of the smaller stages and saw Sammy Adams, who was like a bigger rapper when I was like in college. He rolled, absolutely rolled. He was really chill, dude.

I had so much fun, dude. Absolute blast. That's awesome. Now, the only thing is... Ooh, here's the jeers. There's two jeers. Okay. The first year, and this is, I understand,

this is completely my own making, and at the same time, I would totally do it again. The turnaround is pretty rough because we finished Hawthorne Heights at about 10 o'clock on Sunday night. A little behind the scenes. I come in to the Woody Show at 2 in the morning on Monday.

Okay? So there was a four hours span. During those four hours, we left the venue. I was able to Uber everybody back to the CEL Beach House. I immediately grabbed my stuff, left back to my apartment, showered, changed, didn't even sleep, came straight here, started working. You showered? So, yes, I did shower. Because you look like a disheveled.

I do. It was, well, you know why? Because I did not sunscreen my face, which is my fault. That's my own fault. That and I've also done something that I don't usually do. I've let my hair grow out a bit. So my hair is kind of all over the place. Sorry,

Tyler had this observation yesterday where he was talking about having long hair. And he just was like, yeah, dude, my hair is so long. He's like, Menj, you have long hair. And then he just turns to me and Tyler looks. He's like, oh, yeah, you have long hair too. Yeah.

Yeah. Because I just, I don't know, maybe I just see him all the time that I kind of just forget it's there because, like, you're just so, like, used to seeing it. Like I'm complacent. Observant. Yeah, I know. I really am. It's really bad.

Anyway, so that's the first years. Now, the second year's, this was not my fault. And this part absolutely sucks. So while I was at the beach house, I took my laptop out because I didn't want it sitting in my car because I came straight from Woody to go there. I didn't want it sitting in my car all weekend. So I took it out. My bad, I forgot the charger for it. So it just sat on the dresser all weekend and the battery died.

Cool. It happens. I just plug it and restart it. I get to work Monday morning. I plug it in. It's like, oh, it needs to reboot. Cool. I reboot it.

This thing gets stuck in a rebooting loop. And I cannot for the life of me. And I tried everything for like hours all throughout the show to try and get this thing fixed. It did not get itself fixed. So I'm like, okay, now I got to go to Apple. I go to Apple. They do their thing. I'm there for an hour and a half.

They finally tell me, okay, so somehow your power. buttons all jacked up and on top of that the logic board underneath it is all jacked up and this is something we only see when there's liquid inside of your computer too much hentai yeah oh there it is there it is the hentai did you dirty oh no no because we don't watch hentai why do you deny it i don't understand it just admit it the squaging yeah yeah moving on people are googling what we're talking about right dude moving on long story short it's going to be at least five days to fix it. I hopefully get it back by this weekend. I've been using a weird workaround to do all my work for Woody the entire time. It's been a really weird week. I also really hope that,

because I don't drink anything by my laptop, so I don't know how liquid would have gotten there. I really hope there is no liquid in there because if it is, it's $300 to fix it. If there isn't, it costs nothing, which would be very nice. Cool. So, nice. Yeah, a little jeers. But overall, pretty good weekend, honestly. It was pretty cool. It sounds super. fun. Let's talk about something really important. Yes. As I mentioned in the beginning of this podcast, Woody and Jeff are taking off. So we have to come up with some content ideas. And before the podcast started, we were coming up with content ideas and brainstorming. And I thought I would just share them on the podcast real quick. Now, it's probably going to be like three days of content that we have to do. The first day we have decided will be Tyler's Pegapalooza. Now, this is how it works. Listeners, let's know if you're in. to this. We'll have people call in and if you get through

we will spin the wheel of pegs and the wheel will stop and then we figure out what Tyler gets pegged with. So he'll be receiving, let's say we have a statue of a gator we have some

energy drink drink things. We have a guitar. Right? So that's the first part. Then the second wheel that you spin is lube or no loob

but the lube can be anything it can be hot sauce it could be energy drink energy drink part two Tyler you seem not to be into this idea for day one

of Peggabalooza you could say that it would be four hours of just Tyler content you love that Tyler will do anything to hear Tyler's voice on the air see I will say that

That is a popular misconception that I will do absolutely anything. Tyler's Peggipalooza day one. I will, you know what? You will? I'll tell you what. I'll give you my final thoughts after you, after you, uh, unveil the next two days.

I'll give you my final thoughts. Okay. Day two. So that would probably be on a Wednesday. Day two, I thought, all right. Day two would be. Throat. Throat God Thursday.

So it's kind of like the pegging. But. It's the mouth And right And it gets better Right Because we can Of what goes in Tyler's mouth

We can take Multiple energy drinks And take those So they're longer now Right We could do longer items Like the snow skate Or maybe not

Maybe girthier Maybe whatever didn't work The day before That happens the next day For throat goat Thursday So do we do Loub or no loop On that day

Do we do another wheel for that? No, we'll keep it simple You know I'm sure Just Tyler's tears as he's gagging. Throw a good Thursday. And now, I don't know if you're around for this one, Brett, for Friday. Okay.

Is you Nick Friday. Yes. So Caller 98 calls him. This one I don't think we'll be able to last for four hours. Nope. I don't think it's going to last that long. So Caller 98 gets to run the guillotine. for you, Nick Friday.

borderline orange red, so not great, somewhere between lashing out and shutting down. When he gets upset, he just starts staring at his phone and typing away. That would be Code Red. All right, all right. Gun to head. Which one are you going to do? Okay, so you have to pick one.

You know he loves this. Yes. So would you rather? You have to do Pegapalooza Wednesday. Throat Goat Thursday or Unique Friday. This is literally picking between like three master evils. Mary F. Kill. Some people would kill to experience this.

They literally would. Yes. Well, some people are insane. So maybe that's that. Power rankings. Come on. What are we going on with? F. Barry Kill, which one?

Like, the only one you can pick. No. Who doesn't like any of the three options? There's three. I guess the throat one would be. Wait, you got to say it right. Oh, the throat goat Thursday. I guess that would be like the safest to pick.

Are you sure about that? And then the other two are like a coinful. I don't know. You remember what he said before we started this? He's like, hold on. Pagapalusa. Am I taking or receiving? Yeah, okay.

That got misconstrued. Misconstrued. So, wait, which one do you kill it, though? Yeah. Probably the Friday one. Probably. I don't care what part of my body it is. I don't want to be near a guillotine at all.

He said probably. it's still an option. No, it's most likely Friday. Call it in right now. Oh my God, we'll have the most calls ever. I know. It would be dope. All right, guys.

and connected to the podcast I wanted to mention. Oh, okay. We did a couple podcast episodes with our friend Todd Grimes. Yes. Who worked for DreamWorks. And he worked on a show called Star Wars Detours. Yes.

It was the Simpson-style comedy sketch Star Wars show that was going to be on Cartoon Network at one point. It got pulled. The plug got pulled. A bunch of episodes were actually made. The show was supposed to happen. It's never officially seen the light of day.

It was announced that, Comic Con via Seth Green, who also was the showrunner on it, that it will be a part of the Lucas Museum in Los Angeles. So if you come to the Lucas Museum, you will actually be able to see Star Wars Detour's drive there. Which is dope because we wanted to see this happen. Heck yeah. We wanted to see a show come out.

So that's so cool. And, dude, the more that just comes out about the Lucas Museum, I can't wait to go and see it. So keep an eye out. I believe tickets have very gone on sale if they haven't. to grab it, but hopefully, and I look forward to all of us going and checking out the Lucas Museum seeing Star Wars detours. Plus, here's the other thing, too, is like when you really think about it, the show you worked

on is now, like, considered an artifact. It's in a museum. Yeah, it gets to live forever in a museum. That's so dope. That's sick as hell. And a little crossover, have you been seen the text messages they sent you? Which ones? George Lucas hanging out at F1.

What? What? You know what? You know what time it is? We need an X-wing F-1 car right now. There was a Star Wars car at Monaco one time when they were releasing Star Wars. There was a Star Wars F-1 car. It might be back because there's the whole Disney collab now.

Bring it back. Shout out to the next big event. D-23, mid-August. We're going to be there, so I can't wait. And I was going to say, I noticed there was not much Star Wars or Disney or Pixar news out of Comic-Con. I think they're saving all of it for D-20. Hell yeah.
