What's new? What's new with Menace? What's up everybody and welcome to another edition of What's New Pod. I am Menace. I'm joined by Bortz, a.k.a. Brett. He's an audio expert and syndication expert with the video show Morning Show that you can hear across the United States and around the world on AFN. We told Eric, we told Randy, take the day off today from recording the podcast because we couldn't get Tyler on a Friday and Tyler has not been on the podcast. He started a new job. merch and more so again hang out with me this saturday july 29th from 2 to 4 p.m in arlita on woodman avenue at pizza hut with that said tyler thank you for your triumphant return today on the podcast i yeah i was good try it's a good word i'll use that i like that dude so we literally traded two people for one well it's crazy you know i've been working so much with synopolis so i've been heading out to inglewood and i've driven by your new work like a trillion times and if people don't know you're working at fandle dude how is it you know it's really cool so uh if anybody wants to know what i do over there i'm pretty much on the graphics team. I deal with their crawl. And so the crawl is basically the ticker that's at the bottom. And because ours has a lot of betting information because it is a sports betting company,

ours is a little bit bigger. So you'll see like the normal ESPN ticker takes up somewhere between three and 5% of the screen space. Ours takes up between like, I'd say 15 to 17%. Damn, that's a lot sicker. Yeah, it's a big one because it's got a lot of info on it. But yeah, so it's my job to basically set those up with all the latest betting info that we have. Literally in about six weeks from now, you're going to have college football back,

you're going to have the NFL back, and then about another four weeks after that, it's going to be college football, NFL, NHL, NBA, and that's where it's going to get really, really busy. Yeah, you're going to get crazy busy. So perfect time to actually be checking into FanDuel because it's going to be loaded with sports. It's a fun job. I really enjoy it.

Nice. Is the offices legit or what? Offices are pretty cool. See, I've never toured Randy and Eric's NFL office. I'm sure the NFL office is better. Oh, it's legit. I mean, yeah. Ours is like, it's pretty cool. I think the other thing I like about it too,

it's just nice to get out of the house. You know what I mean? Yeah, with my other job, i do everything from home which is cool and i'm grateful for that just being outside well you were getting kind of pasty yeah yeah but when it comes to our line of work i love being in a studio setting i love being surrounded by other people and not saying that i don't work as a team with my other job that I do from home, but I like being able to physically work with a team like, hey, can you help me do this? Can you help me do that?

Yeah, and we know Tyler is a social butterfly, so he wants to be around people. Tyler loves to be seen. He loves to be heard. He loves the gravitas of the situation and everybody being drawn to him, much like at our recent Pepsi Zero Sugar event where Tyler came out to the local Shakey's. I know. And then gallivanted all of us with tales of Whittier. Oh, and there was chanting for Heavy T.

It was amazing. Now, Heavy T, you're only five miles away from Randy and Eric now. Do you plan on hanging out with those guys or what? At some point, we're going to have, I guess, mini video game tournament again, whatever. And then, you know, I'm just going to take them to school in all these games. That's all it is.

I think the better question was, are you guys actually going to meet up possibly for lunch or after work since you guys are going to be near each other near SoFi Stadium as well? I mean, that's a good question, you got Sinopolis right there. You have all the food spots right there. Street dogs. Yeah, that is something to think about.

Think about it. I never thought of it. So we're going to have a video game marathon battle tournament together if we can meet up at each other's houses somehow. But, you know, we work five miles from each other now. Forget about it. No, no, no. It's too much.

Too much to figure out. Yeah, we work five miles from each other. And I guess that could work out. So the thing is that, like, I'd have to time. You guys are down the street from each other. You have a car. They have a car. Yeah, I have to time my lunch break perfectly with when theirs lines up.

And, you know, if we can get it to work that way great like that would actually be pretty cool oh hey but it has i'm pretty sure you guys could i'll just go hey we're off at five today are you off at five today great man oh you're off at 5 30 oh no it's too late i guess we'll have to wait 30 minutes for you no big deal all right well i'm gonna see that could work eric and randy tomorrow because i can make that happen i'm doing a ninja turtle screening at sinopolis in inglewood which is awesome now tyler you're going for the first time to sinopolis today right what are you gonna say i am actually tonight i'm gonna go see bar? Yeah, that's going to be kind of cool. Who are you taking to see Barbie?

That is not important at the moment. Well, let me give you some pro tips with Sinopolis real quick. The parking garage, make sure you save your ticket because they'll validate your parking for up to three hours. Nice. Second, make sure you get there early. I would say get there maybe like 20 minutes early. Go directly to your seat. Hit the service button because that's how you order your food.

They don't have any concessions. Okay. So it's all delivered straight to you. Now, as you're walking into the theater, let's just say you want more than popcorn and soda, which is unlimited, by the way. You want a bigger meal. Grab the menu as you're walking into your seat. You'll see a stack of them right there in the corner.

Grab a menu so you can see what they have available. I do believe Tyler, they have your favorite. Bang Bang Shrimp. I don't know if a lot of people know this about me. You can hear the drool. You literally can hear the drool coming from his mouth. Literally. I don't know if a lot of people know this you can hear the drool you literally could hear the drool coming from his mouth it literally i don't know if a lot of people know this about me love i love shrimp and i love seafood in general like i love no way i

love shrimp bro what was it it was either i think it was sizzler that was doing like the all you can eat popcorn shit bro i was there front and center oh Oh, heck yeah. I was like, give me all this shrimp. Let's go, man. Nice. And it's the size of popcorn. Say less, bro. Give me. But you know what?

There is one other thing I want to try over there. And I don't know if I'll try it tonight, but I'll try it eventually. I believe Eric mentioned something about a lobster grilled cheese. Oh, yes. He did. He's been raving about it. That just sounds absolutely amazing. I love lobster.

I love cheese. Really? It's a holy combination. Yes. Are you all in or all out? Wasn't there an incident where Tyler ordered the lobster when we went somewhere menace and you were fronting the bill for it?

I distinctly remember a situation like this. I don't think so. Maybe? I think so. Wouldn't surprise me, but I don't think so. Oh, that was Randy. Oh, it was Randy? Yeah. Oh, that's a... Whoops, I blasted Tyler by accident earlier this week. No, but I think

Tyler did glom on because Randy convinced him to order it. No, he ordered it. No, it wasn't lobster. It was caviar. Yes, but there was no lobster. It was in Santa Monica when we did the live podcast at the hotel. Yes, yes, yes. Okay.

Wow, that's a flashback. Because either way, like, okay, they were covering my meal. They weren't covering everybody's meal. I was like, oh, I'll just't covering everybody's meal it's like oh i'll just i'll just pay for everybody's meal even if the hotel was covering the meal you don't pull the move of ordering the caviar because you look douchey right you don't order the most expensive stuff on the menu if you're working with them because yeah you have to order something like mid-level you don't get crazy let alone two orders of the most expensive thing there yeah no i i've learned that rule where like if someone else is fronting the bill usually go

mid-level like don't go too expensive but don't go too cheap either because i like one of the first times like i didn't want to be rude and i've had someone do that where like they're fronting the bill and so i went like the cheapest thing possible and they're like no get something bigger and I'm like oh yeah and I don't want to offend you so let me go a little bit bigger so don't get crazy look there are other bills that I have coming up that I have to manage my money for so I'm just like okay maybe because but here's the other thing too I know I'm gonna I already know that Sinopolis is great from all the hyping up that Menace and Eric have done I already know know that I'm going to end up going back. So if I don't get it tonight, I will get it the next time I go.

I can't wait to check it out. Switching gears a little bit, Brett, did you see that I did make it into the X Games last weekend? I did. In Ventura. It was amazing. I love Ventura because it's kind of like a little bootleg San Diego, maybe. Right down the coast. Yeah, it's kind of like a little bootleg San Diego, maybe, right down the coast. Yeah, it's a poppin' ocean side town, and there's just so many awesome things to do.

Like the fairgrounds that you were at, they have top bands there. They'll have the flea market there on Wednesdays, and then all of a sudden here comes the X Games on Saturday, right? Yeah. And, dude, there's something special about the love of the x games and the following that they have it reminds me of warp tour whereas maybe you know for a minute people wouldn't be saying anything about war tour but you're like you know there's a following and if x games are coming to town it's gonna be packed everybody's gonna rule

and you'll love this it was decked out in monster energy oh yeah you're a connoisseur i'm looking at you right now and behind you you have a monster energy box what is this right here oh so this is the monster energy ultra paradise flavor it was a custom gift box that they gave out for people that were fans of that product and what it came with was a monster energy edition hawaiian shirt and a little hula dancer bobble head holding a monster energy can sweet yeah nice which that is on eric's desk right now at the nfl i love it when people come into the studio and they start talking about monster energy and then you rattle off like all your favorite flavors and then all the different special cans

that they have now there was something that you did want to try and tyler brought it to you in las vegas but he gave it to you right when you're about to walk onto a plane so you couldn't take it on there and yeah what was that what did you want to try uh that would be the hard monster energy the uh malt beverage i believe and tyler handed me one he said here you go man i got it for you i'm like i'm about to get an uber and go hop on a plane can you do me a favor bring this back to me just save this can and bring it back to me you and randy are driving back tomorrow menace ask me did i get the canned monster uh the hard monster energy did you no oh what happened there tyler you know it's funny you mentioned that because

i literally turned to my side real quick and what is right here beast unleashed hard 6.0 uh what is it scary berries like this's still here. It's still here waiting for you, Brad. So it's with you, not left in Randy's car, where Randy was going to meet up with me two days later and return a couple of things to me from his car. Okay, let's be real for a second. Would Randy have even remembered to give it to you? Probably not.

Probably not. He probably would have drank it. No, but it would have been in his car, and I would have found it. you know what i wouldn't mind there's one event that I did not realize was sponsored by monster until this morning And if they would love to throw an invite our way wink wink, I would totally accept it So you guys know those slapping competition? Yeah. Yeah where yeah were these big dudes just slap each other across the face I'm looking at the podium that basically separates the competitors when they slap each other. There's a fat monster logo right there on the fly. And I'm like, yeah, no. I need tickets to this thing because this is actually wild

and just seeing a dude bigger than me get slapped across the face and then just get knocked out. Yeah, I need to be there. I need this in my life. Okay, if need to be there. I need this in my life. Okay. If they would be so kind to invite, I think me and Menace have a proposition

to make all this happen. All right. If you would love to have us out for the slap fighting competition, we will happily volunteer Tyler and Randy to be the opening match. Oh, yes.

and he would be slapping me. Not one of these dudes three times my size slapping me. No, no, no. Yeah, you guys are pretty much like the dark match in wrestling. Like, you're the entrance match for everybody.

Now, Randy's not on the podcast with us today because he has to work at the NFL, but I think you have a great idea here, Tyler. Now, we know you kind of have a busted arm. Would you be able to slap him full force? Oh, that's a very good point. I don't want you to have a disadvantage on this event.

I'm going to leave it with this information. So the one that's jacked up is my right arm. So my right arm is stronger than my left for reasons that will be known to me and me alone. So I think I will I think I'll be okay. I think I can hang in there. I think I can slap the ish out of it.

Lola's gonna knock out Randy. Alright, you guys want some food news? Nice. Alright, now I know this is non-news but i thought it was pretty cool because soup dog always has a new product coming out every single day but but he has a product coming out that's actually not named after him so that is kind of shocking that's surprising it's called mr bombay's Cream, and it's going to be available at Walmart. He has seven flavors.

No, I'm all in. I love ice cream. Here's the thing. I love ice cream, but I don't eat it as often. I think it's because I like to savor it and just not get tired of it. So, yeah. But especially was that first one, that brownie one you mentioned? Like, oh my God, dude.

Yeah. Like anything that any ice cream has brownie in it. Oh my God. Now, I think Snoop Dogg is smart on this one by not labeling it Snoop Dogg, because I think initially it would pop, like people would want to try it, but it wouldn't be long lasting. But now if he just has like a brand, it could have some longevity. Yeah, it definitely keeps the burnout mentality from happening because it's like, okay, hey, it's another Snoop Dogg project, which that's not bad.

Snoop Dogg's awesome. No, not at all. I support all of it. But when you see a name on so many different things, you're like, okay, is he really invested in this? Is it just a name? So I think this is a great idea for having long lasting longevity. And you know what, man? It could take some other ice cream companies to tax, man. I know. Mr. Beast with his?

Oh, dude. Dude, Hershey's is looking at him like crazy because he's taking over the chocolate game. I see those boxes every single time I go to 7-Eleven and they are near empty every single time yeah and all the flavors and and like i might find one and that's the only one that's like at the bottom but man he's crushing it with those i know all right now tyler has this been on your radar hostess is introducing the ding dong twinkie mashup. Yes. All in or all out. Yes. Yes. Yes.

this is, this is not going to make me look any better by any means, but like, um, this, this is, so my dad, every time he goes to Costco,

First off, we'll go on a tangent about that in a second but second uh yeah i actually am watching it i'm four episodes in it's really really good i love it yeah we talked about on the last podcast eric randy they love it i didn't get a chance to talk to you about it you actually have your quarterback for your team in this show so i

wanted to get your feedback on it okay so i have a lot of respect for Patrick Mahomes. I have a lot of respect for the type of athlete, the type of baller that he is. I, you know, I wasn't really the biggest fan of Kirk cousins, but now that I've seen the show, I think I'm a little more of a fan. I have a lot more respect for the dude. Now, Marcus Mariota, I am watching the first four episodes of this thing. I have been furiated because he's talking about like, Oh, of this thing. I have been Furiated because he's talking about like oh I study this I study that you know I do all this I do all that to make sure I'm prepared boy. We lost like 13 games last year What do you mean you were prepared and in reality we didn't lose 13 I think we lost closer to like nine but still dude like this dude got benched

With four games left in the season and he's like oh like i memorized you know all these plays so i could do them on the field were you not taking them onto the field with you what are you doing dog like i'm watching this thing i am getting more and more pissed off looking at marcus mariotta really like it just oh my god you see the level of training and dedication from Mahomes and then even Kurt Cousins who does like all that you know

paying attention type training with the neuroscience type stuff yeah which is pretty cool you can tell they're taking it super serious this dude is just like hanging out with his wife like going over plays not like not even like professionals yeah like okay i i had to bring up this tweet that i sent to randy and eric because this was literally me the entire time and this tweet says uh it was from

some other falcons fan watching that says something about watching this mother effer quote study and quote watch film just pisses me off because wtf you what was you doing on the field was you not retaining anything and i'm like that's what there is a famous clip of this dude last year rolling on his back and trying to throw a pass upside down what in the actual actual F are you doing, dude? Like, what? I can't. I, oh my God. This is so infuriating. Like, I can't, dude.

You just broke the audio. I'm watching this. Like, I am watching this quarterback show. I'm watching Marcus Mariota, and I am getting more and more pissed off every time I see it. And the funny thing is, is that like the four games,

because I think they're at like week six in the season on the show, and like the six games, because I think they're at like week six in the season on the show and like the six games that they've played the three that they've lost. I'm like they show the beginning of the game at the beginning. I'm like, oh, we lost this one. I remember how this ended. I can't. Mariotta, you suck

dude. Get out of the league. Garbage. Garbage. Well, I'm glad I got to say to your face too, dude. Garbage. Especially now. Well, I'm glad I got to experience all that. I'll say it to your face too, dude. Garbage. Especially now. I don't have to catch up with Tyler's Twitter at all. I just got all of it in like two minutes.

Here's the other thing too. Here's the other thing too. So there's a viral clip that went around yesterday of Cam Newton getting into it with a fan. And the fan was like, yo, we have the same number of rings. And Cam Newton's like, yeah, but my bank account's bigger than yours or whatever. So, look, I'm going to go up to Mario and be like, you're garbage. We have the same amount of rings. If he hits me with that bank account line, I'll be like, yeah, but you know what I have?

Most of my dignity, all right? Shut the hell up. Get off the field. You're done, dude. You're garbage. Yeah. And that's a pretty low amount. I was going to say, what's not high about?
