Hello, I'm Greg Jenner.
I'm the host of You're Dead to Me on BBC Radio 4.
We're the comedy show that takes history seriously.
and we are back for a 12th series.
Plus, big news, we've had a Goloa.
As you can hear, we've got a brand new theme tune,
and that is because, for the first time ever,
you'll be able to watch our episodes in full video.
Yes, great news, unless, of course, you don't want to see my face.
Sorry about that, you will have to see my face.
Swing some roundabout.
But this series is going to be a great one.
We are starting with an epic journey through Homer, the Iliad and the Odyssey,
where we're joined by Kyle Smith Bino in Comedy Corner,
What do you know about ancient Greece?
The Iliad, the Odyssey.
Any bells?
I'm going to say Medusa.
Is that anywhere near?
A little bit.
A little bit off.
We'll get you back on track.
Thank you.
And then we'll be learning about Francis Galton
and the racist discredited pseudoscience of eugenics
with Desiree Birch.
It gets a lovely medal from the Royal Geographic Society.
We're going on holiday.
No, not quite.
No, this is...
Congratulations.
Congratulations.
Young White Explore.
You have done the correct pick is your reward.
What?
We'll meet many medieval saints in their bone boxes with Rachel Parrott.
What had he done, Ulrich, to merit this?
He's been a confessor, I think.
He'd been just a very good boy.
Just been a good boy.
Top lad.
Standards were quite low.
Plus loads more.
So that's series 12 of You're Dead to Me.
If you're in the UK, you can listen first on BBC Sound
or watch on iPlayer from the 26th of June.
If you're outside the UK, you can find us on BBC.com or wherever you get your podcast.
New series launches on the 24th of July.
Thanks very much. Bye.
